Tried this place on Good Friday, when eating anything with meat was verboten. Conveniently located near the Bowling Green/4&5 Subway stop. Plain slices ($3.81) and Sicilian ($5.99) were both excellent. Good news is there is just enough indoor seating for about 30 patrons comfortably. Their garlic knots are a must try @ 4/$3.00. Etalia Pizza @ 20 Beaver has been around for many decades. Formerly, called Giorgio's Pizza for those of us who worked near Wall St bk then & remember it by its old name. I like the pizza & many pasta choices here. Ohh & there's Midelo beer too. The atmosphere is nice too. The staff is always pleasant & ask if we need anything else w/ a smile. No attitude. U really don't appreciate or notice nice ppl as much until ur faced with disrespectful staff like @ Abitino's pizza @ 32 Broadway the new spot. Outside tables always dirty w/ garbage & u better not ask them to clean it. I guess I'll stay with Etalia Pizza hands. All around better food & experience & staff r willing to assist u bc they appreciate their customers. I work in the area, so when Tourists want a good pizza spot I'll refer them to Etalia Pizza . Ijs As a customer, it's my choice. I'll continue to give my patronage to the old pizza spot that's known in the area by many. Only con is the bathroom could be a little cleaner or upgraded. Wow, this place is amazing! When I come into NYC for work, I typically stay in the Financial District. There are limited restaurants open late. When I arrived in on a Monday evening around 7 P.M, I saw that Pizza Etalia was open and near the hotel I was staying at! Pizza Etalia offers pizza slices, pizza pies, pasta dishes, Stromboli, and a variety of appetizers such as garlic knots! Some of their slices of pizza include cheese, pepperoni, veggie, and meat lovers! Looking over their menu, I decided to order their Fettucine Alfredo with chicken and a slice of their cheese pizza. I had asked for the pizza slice to be warmed up after the pasta was completed! The team members had put all of the dishes in containers and stacked it in a plastic bag for me to bring back to the hotel! The bag had utensils and napkins in it! The first item I had to try was the NY cheese pizza. It was outstanding! The sauce was so flavorful, and the cheese was gooey. The slice of cheese pizza was slightly greasy, but it still tasted wonderful! The dough was perfectly cooked and crispy on the edges! The pasta was scrumptious! There was so much fettucine noodles in the dish! There were slices of chicken scattered in the alfredo pasta. I ended up saving half of the pasta for warm up in the hotel the very next day! The cream sauce was thick and flavorful! It had just the right amount of butter in the dish! The food was exceptional! The restaurant had plenty of tables to sit at if you wanted to eat at Pizza Etalia! The team members were friendly and helpful too! This is going to be one of my to go spots if I'm craving pizza in the Financial District! read more

Couldn't leave NY without getting some authentic NY Pizza. Pizza Etalia didn't disappoint. I had a mixed pizza and a chicken Caesar salad. The chicken Caesar salad pizza wasn't my favorite in theory it could have been great. My only complaint was the bathroom had no soap. read more

My expectations after reading reviews was more than I found in visiting this establishment after touring around the financial district & visiting Statue of Liberty. This is a small and what apparently is a typical NYC pizza joint serving pizza by slice as well as whole pies & pasta/Italien entrees. Extremely casual place with a few tables, poorly air conditioned and unclean single unisex small bathroom. We were SO hungry, we needed to get something. I ordered one of the square slice which I inquired what it was & really didn't get an answer, but it looked like the only best option from the large display if various pies. My husband got the pepperoni, but ended up with a pepperoni & sausage that was 100% grease fest, SO GROSS. He had to use napkins to soak up the extra grease which the paper plate already had soaked to its capacity too. My square cheese was tasty at least. Tables are not cleaned after customers, service was abrupt and not helpful. We couldn't wait to leave and I apologize there are no pictures as this was not worthy. read more

Was down here on a training and since it was our last day I was hungry for some pizza. Pizza Etalia was essentially down the block from our location and with a thirty minute break time is of the essence. Walking into the place felt like being in one of my neighborhood Brooklyn pizzerias and while they had some specialty slices, I was aiming at two slices of plain cheese for me. They were nicely sized and after a quick warm up in the oven I was good to go. A Sprite was added to my order which amounted to about $12. Not bad for the city at all. The staff was friendly and quick and they were keeping the tables clean. There was a large amount of younger students in the place so I am thinking a school might be nearby or they were visitors of the National Museum of the American Indian which was where I was having my training course. I liked it and recommend them and will surely look into them once more if I find myself down in the vicinity. read more

Line moved fast. I had a large slice of cheese for $3.50 and a margarita slice for $5.50 (I think all the slices were $5.50 other than cheese). Save the $2 and get cheese because the margarita was just ok. The cheese was very good for NY pizza although I am partial to New Haven pizza which is a superior style as it is thinner and charred. I have been buying their pizza for 7 years. Now, unfortunately they got too greedy and no longer offer a quality product despite constantly raising prices and charging tax on top of it. Slices are not cut evenly and sometimes you are missing half the cheese because of all the bubbles that they don't have the time to pop. Every Friday the sauce is sour (not fresh) and bitter making pizza barely edible. Manager is rude and claims that they are making fresh sauce every day but it is not true. read more

Watching all the local construction workers slide in for a slice solidified our desire to stop here. We don't want any organic flour and hand brown micro green pizza. We're looking for blue collar, crispy crust slices. They have it! This place is a can't miss spot in this area. Garlic knots are some of the best I've ever had. The slices are legit! I had a specialty slice with sausage, peppers and bunch of other veggies. Delicious. We also had a pep slice, a Sicilian and a white slice. Everyone devoured it and loved every bite. Yum! Two slices was a very generous serving, plus an order of garlic knots turns out to be like 4 or 5 knots. Warning for anyone that only KIND OF likes garlic, this was enough garlic that it almost burns! Personally, I love garlic so that wasn't a problem for me. My slices were Margherita and pepperoni and bacon. Normally, places put too-huge chunks of mozzarella on margherita pizza for my tastes, but this was fantastic. And it's just hard to go wrong with pepperoni and bacon. The location is on the smaller side, and a bit older, and the staff get the job done but not much to be said for going above and beyond, the interaction with them is quite brief. But this is a good, cheap place to get some decent pizza quickly. They reheat the pizza in the oven after you order which is great. Also, if you're interested, they had a pizza that was just pasta on top. That was a new option I'd not seen before, but maybe that's because we're from the West Coast. read more
