Pizza Getti is family-owned and delicious and delightful in every respect. They have been in the area for over 30 years. My son-in-law has been coming here since his childhood and introduced me to it. I am soo thankful he did! Their pizzas are loaded and delicious. First off, I live less than a minute away from this place and this is my first time trying it. This is the best pizza I've had in 6 years. I moved here 6 years ago from Chicago. It's not hard to tell that the ingredients are of quality and whoever makes the pizza has experience. My husband is very picky and he said it was the best he's had since leaving Michigan! We are very happy and will definitely be regulars. We got the Pizza Deluxe with anchovies. I'll probably be getting that next time but the deep dish is on the list. Also, when I called to place the order, the young lady who answered the phone was super pleasant and I could hear her smile. When I moved to East Dallas 7 years ago, my neighbors were quick to ask if I've eaten at Pizza Getti yet. They all explained they've eaten there since they were children themselves, and that I needed to try it out. I'm sure am glad they told me about this place, because they have the best pizza I've ever had. When you arrive, you'll always be greeted by one of the family members that's owned the restaurant for decades. Go more than a few times and you'll quickly know most of the employees, and the best part, they will remember you and probably what your favorite from the menu is. The pizza is cooked to your exact specifications, and no order is too complicated for them. There is also a small salad bar with all the essentials. You are more than welcome to BYOB, and they will set you up with wine glasses, or if you choose to be more discrete, they will even hook you up with a paper cup. I really like the simplicity of Pizza Getti. The service is always great. The food is good for the price. What I don't like is the cleanliness (or lack thereof). The walls are absolutely disgusting and look as though they haven't been cleaned in months. The low lighting probably hides even more filth. I usually don't worry about that kind of thing except my wife refuses to eat there so I don't get to go that often. The ranch on the salad bar is out of this world incredible. I wish the salad bar offered more options though. Broccoli? Croutons? Lettuce that isn't brown? Make a couple of changes and this place would get a lot more business. read more

It's almost not fair for me to write a review. My brother used to hang in the parking lot and jump into his 57 Chevy when my Dad rounded the curve into the parking lot in his GTX in 68-69 when they were on Ferguson road. I've seen some give it 3 stars here. The only reason I can see this is that a) they ordered the wrong pizza for them, or b) everyone's taste buds are different. It's been 5 star for me for how many years?? Oh yeah, that'd be 51 or 52 I believe. Sure, I believed them, but I got to experience it first hand last Friday night. Now, when we got there, the place looked like it was trying to close, but they didn't let on to us if they were. We got there a tad late, so I was glad they let us eat! Oh and the food they made?! I don't say this often, but that pizza was STUPID GOOD. Crust was perfect and thin, the sauce was full tomato and vibrant, the meats were high quality, and the Ranch on the salad was oh my dear good. The place has been around for like fifty years and it shows, they're very kind there. However the food seems to have not been updated in fifty years. I get it, it's basic pizza, pasta and salad but for a 13 Dollar buffet I would hope to have food that hasn't been getting over cooked under a heat lamp and that is actually seasoned. Remember when pizza was, well, pizza? It was round with a nice, crisp bottom and side crust w/ a bit of chew. You could order Canadian Bacon (not prosciutto, Culatello, pepperoni (not Bon Bocon, Copa of Parma), and it was hard to tell the difference (without tasting) between sausage and hamburger. The round pizza was cooked in an oven, not some 1500 degree wood burning brick contraption. Hey, I'm all for a Neapolitan, but sometimes I just get a bit nostalgic and need a good ol' American version of the pizza pie. Look no further than Pizza Getti. They've been making the pizzas the same way since they were on Ferguson (they've since moved to Buckner some years ago). The original owner has since retired and left his able son, Kyle, at the helm. As I said, they make the pizzas you grew up eating. You can't go wrong. It's BYOB so bring a vino or a 6-pack (Kyle will keep the rest cold for you in his walk-in and refresh your empties when needed). It's just north of I 30 on Buckner. Johnny Law, especially the tactical squad and narcotics officers, loves him some Pizza Getti. So, there's always at least a table or 3 of the Boys in Blue; makes you feel safe eating next to the S.W.A.T. team. He's has a modest salad bar and there's a M-F lunch buffet. You'll like the prices and love the pizza. Also, you'll love the mom-n-pop feel of the place. The boys helping him make the pizzas (Graham and the rest) have been working there since they were 15. They've grown up and gotten real jobs, but come back and help out on busy nights and weekends. read more

I wouldn't say this is the best pizza place in the Dallas area...I decided to tried out this place based on the great reviews on yelp but I was very disappointed. You would assumed when you are super hungry, everything you eat seemed to taste really good. right? Nope. Even though I ate the whole deluxe small 8 in pizza because I was starving, the whole time I was thinking in my head "hm, the "mini" ball sausages taste like the frozen meat in a plastic bag, mushroom is canned mushroom, the amount of sauce is like a thin layer of glue between the bread and the cheese, pepperoni is "microwaved" pale slices that no where to be found/taste on the pizza. I freaking love Pizza Getti, great classic old-school style pizza. You will think about it all the time. I love the mushrooms they use. The sauce is my favorite. All the toppings are freaking great. Really good salad bar with all homemade dressing....they even have pickled okra and a house made olive relish that is great on the salad. Great folks work there too... every time I go in they are super friendly and remember me. I think I have had all of the new fancy pizza in Dallas, Cane Russo, Zoli's, Olivela's....I mean they are good but I crave the old fashion style pizza with the crispy flaky crust that is not too thin but just right. Been eating here since I was a kid, heck, this may have been my first ever pizza! I dig it...it's always cooked to order ready after 20 or so minutes after call-in, or 30 during Cowboys games (thanks for opening up on Sundays!) My wife introduced me to Pizza Getti when we were first married 41 years ago. That was when they were still over on Ferguson. Her family is Italian and had been coming for years already. I instantly fell in love with it and we made periodic visits the whole 20 years we were in Dallas. We moved to Golden Colorado 21 years ago but when we are in Dallas visiting family I do my best to wrangle a visit to Pizza Getti. Never disappointed. I always get the spaghetti with meat sauce because (although it tastes altogether different) it is the next thing to my father in law's spaghetti sauce perfection. And as some have already mentioned, the ranch dressing on the salad bar is incredible. I've been reading all the reviews about how incredible their pizza is. I've never tried the pizza because I love their spaghetti so much but I just might try it on one of these now rare but much treasured visits. read more
