I worked at a popular pizza parlor during college and know what it takes to make a decent pie. The first thing I noticed was that there was a good variety on their menu. Lots of different topping too. However I also noticed the very slow pace in which everyone was working. The guy making my pizza moved like a three year old setting up a checkers board. It should take about 20 sec to cover a large in pepperonis, not two min. I got my pizza after about 15 min. Not too slow, but I was the only person in there so it could have been faster. The prices seemed reasonable compared to the average pizza parlor, but the taste didn't fully justify it. Toppings tasted decent, and there was plenty of cheese. Although the feta was a bit burned and not well incorporated. But the dough was a bit gummy because it's put through a roller rather than being hand pounded. Rollers break up air pockets too much so the crust can't be as crispy on the outside or as light on the inside as a pizza aught to be. It wasn't a bad pizza by any means, but could easily be improved. *Upon a second visit I am removing a star. I placed an order and was told it would take 15 minutes. 20 minutes passed and I was asked to repeat the order to them. Only then did they begin to make the pizza. They even had five people working, so being understaffed isn't an excuse. As I waited, more than one other customer has had issues with their order. Ended up taking half an hour to get the pie. *Third Visit There only seems to be one employee here during the middle of the day. She's polite and cheerful. She also made me aware of a deal that worked into my order. Good service so far! I am the only customer. She (Marisol is her name) tells me the pizza will be done in 10 min, but she gets it done in 8. A hard worker! Alas, the taste is still average at best. I won't be a regular, but I think Marisol made a good case for me to make an occasional visit. read more

Are you serious? I talked to Maria personally this time. I told her that $10 off my next purchase was a joke. Why would I order from you guys again? She just kept apologizing. My family and I have been ordering pizza from this location for almost 10 years. Over the last 2 years, the service at the shop has gone completely down hill. From food coming out over cooked/made poorly to the staff being incredibly lazy and disrespectful, it's just getting terrible. My father ordered a pizza tonight at around 7pm. Normally, it's done within 15 minutes. He got there about 25 minutes after he placed his order, just in case. They only had half of our order complete. We ordered the "Best Deal" which is a coupon deal that has been running for at least 10 years, it hasn't changed ever. Every person working there tonight acted like they had absolutely no idea what this deal was, even though the guy at the counter was the one who took the order and it was clearly on their flyers. After they finally figured out that they messed up, the girl working there said "Ummm yea, we didn't make it. Do you still want it?" Are you kidding me? If it's what we ordered, then yes I would like it unless you're giving me a full refund. After the guy at the front counter handled money at the register, he walked right to the back counter and started making a pizza. Didn't wash his hands or anything, that was disgusting and definitely a California Health Code violation. What's worse is as my dad stood there waiting, several people, who seem to have been employees not on the clock, walked in and walked straight to the back and were hanging in the back and taking pizza's. Never once saw any of them pay for anything. We are extremely disappointed with this Pizza Guy's. The owner has definitely let this place go down hill and we won't be coming back. Your staff is lazy, disrespectful and truly ruining your business. I don't expect 5 star service from a pizza place, but seeing as we've been loyal customers for 10+ years and can clearly see things have changed for the worse, they need to get their act together. read more

I come here to order and pick up my pizza every couple of months. They honestly have really good pizza. I've tried a few of their special pizzas and also ordered what I normally order on a pizza. The sauce is really good. The bread sticks are amazing. Specially the garlic and the bacon ones. The only down side is being told that the order will be ready in 20 minutes, going back in and they say another 5 minutes, going back in and still waiting about another 5 for the order. I guess it isn't so bad for getting a free 2L soda for free if you pick up. read more

Service is good. I got the all meat and Hawaiian pizza with red sauce. Pizza itself is very fresh and cheesy not oily. The offers are good as well, you get a soda or a tub of ice cream if you spend 18$ or more. The worker was kind and friendly and accommodated us with great service. He answer or questions with patience because I did have a lot of questions for him, unfortunately I didn't see the different sauce they offer. Ok so yesterday my guy and I were hungry but unfortunately we were also laundry bound. Lucky for us there was a pizza place next door. Since we were super hungry, we placed an order for a large jalapeno and roasted garlic with garlic sauce. (I thought we had ordered it w/regular red pizza sauce but whatever) They told us it would be ready in 10-15 minutes (not so bad since we were in the middle of folding laundry) plus we got a free 2-liter of soda for doing a pick - up. They don't care how many times you've ordered from them in the past, they become the penny police if your order for delivery doesn't come to $12.00 or more. My order came to $11.99, a penny shy of their set in stone $12.00 minimum. I told them I'd pay the extra penny, but no luck. More often then not the pizza and service is really good. I preferred their old website which doesn't seem to work anymore. The specialty pizza's are delicious. Our house orders Pizza Guys instead of Dominoes or Pizza Hut because the pizza is just plain better. Just don't call in your order and you will have a pleasant experience. Just picked up an xtra large 3 topping for 18.99 tonight....the cook or the person assembling the pizza forgot to put one of the toppings on it, however. Upon bringing it to their attention they were super apologetic and offered to either make a new one or to take $5 off of the one they messed up. I elected to just have them make a new one and they had it ready within 10 minutes. Mistakes happen, I get it...was pleased by how quickly they remedied it, as well as offering me the option of just discounting the incorrect one.
