What a disappointment! You go out on a Friday night to have a steak dinner and you are seated in a booth that is so worn and old. It's disgusting. Here in Georgia at this time of the year or most times of the year you are in shorts. Think of how it feels for your bare legs to keep scraping the ripped up vinyl on the seat cushion of your booth. The food was average, the steaks were tough, the asparagus that I ordered with my steak was an extra charge and they were tough as well. For two people at $110? We ate at Longhorn Steakhouse on Mothers Day, and it was very busy. We called ahead to get on the waitlist for a table for 5, and this worked well. We were seated and served quickly which helped keep our active 3 year old granddaughter happy. The food was excellent, and our server, Melynn was great! AJ was our server and he was amazing. He was so knowledgeable about the menu and the made sure our drinks were just as we wanted. He confirmed our steak temp, which I'm sure they're supposed to do but he was so friendly about it. We forgot to leave off the sour cream on our potato, our mistake, but he handled it so quickly and said he would take care of it asap. Our food was perfection. The topper to the whole experience is that I'm the wife and always pay the bill. Traditionally the server always hands the bill to the man. Horrible service from everyone at the Dawsonville GA location who failed our kids on prom night! Shame on you! We called at noon and asked the procedure to get on the waitlist. We did as we were told and called 1 hour before they wanted to dine. I did so and was told that there wasn't a wait so they couldn't be added to the list. I told her it was prom and I wanted to make sure they could get in. She told me she couldn't help me and said she was transferring me to the hostess... Who never answered. I then went online to join the waitlist and it said there was no wait, but filling out the form would shorten the wait. They arrived 15 minutes later and were told there was a 45 minute wait. After 30 minutes and seeing others not get seated on time, they had to leave and search for a place for dinner. Epic fail Longhorns. We tried 3 times to get them on your list for a special occasion and you failed. They left and went across the street to Outback where the staff was friendly and made them feel special for their prom night! Again, shame on you. We won't be back. read more

Great food! Great service! Clean restaurant! What could be better than that? We came with a large party for a friends birthday on a Friday night. This means one person in our party waited one and a half hours for our table of ten, but that's understandable. But! Once we got settled and got our order in, things moved smoother as can be! I ordered the onion petals and those were a hit with the table, the sauce is especially tasty. I ordered off the kids meal and they didn't give me a hard time about that, which I appreciated because I've had a stomach surgery in the past and can't always eat a lot. I got the chicken tenders and the Brussels sprouts and two weeks later I still dreaming about those Brussels sprouts. I asked for some sauce to go with my leftovers and the waitress has no problem doing that and was quick with that as well! There were no complaints of errors with anyone in our party of ten and that in itself is a 5/5 experience. Parking was plentiful, this is a stand alone restaurant and the decor is what you'd expect at any chain longhorn restaurant. We came here before heading to the local rodeo, so the theme was especially perfect for us. I wouldn't hesitate to come back to this location! read more

Cole was a great server. There was an issue with the cook of the steak, the manager that came to check on us helped and took my entire plate away and brought back everything fresh. Even nice steakhouses will often recook the same steak and leave you with room temperature side dishes. So I was very impressed that, without me even asking, replaced my entire plate of sides and filet mignon so I could start over with piping hot food and perfectly cooked steak. read more

Surprised to see a wait on a Monday night. Covid policies have really limited seating, especially for those who want to dine at the bar - now limited to 3 parties (6 max total at the bar). Dawsonville Longhorns is not one of the better Longhorns by any means. McFarland Road is worth the extra 10 minutes to get to that location. Their food is far better. Customer services store better. It'll be nice to have a new steak restaurant open up in the area as it won't take long for this, longhorn to realize you can't treat people as poorly as they have for so long. read more

Longhorn was poppin' tonight. We arrived at 5:43 and put our names down for a table for 4 (2 adults and 2 kids). The hostess was honest, she said the wait would be 40-45 minutes. She was exactly right, 42 minutes exactly. Luckily my hubby took our boys to grab a few things while I waited. Serenity...no complaints for this tired Momma. And truth be told, we had a gift card so leaving due to the wait was not an option. Once we were seated our server promptly greeted us. He took our drink order and allowed us time to review the menu. We started with cheese curds. I've never had them and they were ooey gooey goodness. The ranch was good too. We also had a loaf of bread, which my 8 year old devoured. Carb overload! I had the 6oz renegade with a potato. My hubby had the prime rib with a potato. Our oldest had the kid steak with fries. His steak was exactly the same size as mine. Plenty of food for a young buck. Our lil guy had the grilled chicken tenders with fries. The food was great! Steak was cooked perfectly (medium) & prime rib was cooked nicely (medium rare). There was no need for condiments; plenty of flavor. Considering we went during an absolutely busy time our service was 5 stars hands down. My only hang up was petty stuff- bathrooms were a wreck, if you are wheelchair bound it would be difficult to get into the rest room as they had a 6 top smack dab in front of the restroom entry (actually it may be impossible). Besides those 2 points we had fabulous service, great food and a pleasant experience. The staff were kind, respectful, polite, friendly and never looked overwhelmed. I would definitely recommend going during non peak hours or go knowing you will wait and pack your patience. read more

Placed a curbside pickup order with a 6:30p pick up time. Received the text saying order was almost ready and arrived just after 6:30. Waited. Waited. Waited. Around 7p an employee came out to tell me she was very sorry, but when she picked up my order the back broke and everything fell out on the floor. I get that accidents happen but... my order was still at least 30 minutes late and no one bothered to let me know. I was told they were remaking my order and when I asked how much longer I was told "they were hoping my order was placed ahead of the others so maybe 10 minutes. 30 minutes later, over an hour after Longhorns told me the order would be ready my order finally came out and "they tossed in an extra loaf of bread." Maybe the extra loaf of bread would have been nice WHILE WE WERE WAITING. When I got home, the steak was "blackened" and overcooked, the chicken fingers were cold and the burger was warmish. Came here for an early birthday celebration. Wasn't my choice of restaurants, but my aunt and uncle live way up North, and they decided it was a good meeting spot. Walked in, and wow was it crowded. They hostess said it would be an hour wait, but thankfully it was only about twenty minutes or so. We were sat in a big booth, and the waitress came by to take our drink order. She was so friendly!! She had a big smile every time she came by the table, and didn't flinch at my odd lunch order or anything. I really liked her. I wasn't in the mood for a big meal, so I had a baked sweet potato with butter and brown sugar along with a spaghetti squash with cheese. I know that's an odd pairing. My daughter had some fries and grilled chicken strips. And of course, she brought the bread with butter. It's hit or miss with their bread, but today was a good day. It was soft, and tasted pretty good with the butter, so I downed over half the loaf. The baked potato was pretty standard, and it tasted fine. The spaghetti squash did not seem to be cooked long enough. It was pretty hard, and I wasn't able to get much out of the shell at all. That was disappointing, and the cheese really didn't go well with it. I think a marinara sauce would have been better. My daughter must not have loved the fries, because she didn't finish them, and even offered me some, which never happens! I tried a piece of her chicken, and it was a little dry but okay. I think they make a decent martini, but on this trip, I had to say no. They offer wine, beer, and spirits for those interested. Longhorn's has a pretty varied menu with salads, soups, plenty of appetizers, and entrees that most people can find something they can eat. But as far as taste, and I've been here quite a few times at different locations, they are just okay to me. read more

Pretty disappointed. We couldn't use the free appetizer coupon they emailed me for lunch. Not sure why that even mattered. The steaks were switched. A quarter of the way through the meal my husband and I realized he had my steak I had his. The baked potato was small and dried out. The salad was good however. We held a small family reunion at this restaurant on a Thursday around noon. The staff was very helpful and accommodating, a very comfortable place to meet. Food service was quick and everyone enjoyed it. My late brother always enjoyed the LongHorn chili which i tried with the soup and salad lunch special. The chili had a wonderful flavor, lots of meat, no beans, and the salad was very fresh and well made. Everyone in our group was well pleased, I would recommend this location highly. read more
