    Kanab Pizza Hut

The Kanab Pizza Hut -- the APEX of incompetence. I'll try and make it short, but it will certainly not be sweet: We ordered a "Thin 'n Crispy" Veggie Pizza online for drive through pick up (gave a 20% gratuity). Waited for Pizza Hut's online web counter to count down to zero. Went to pick up pizza. Waited in the Pick-up lane. Got to the Pick-up window. Took them five minutes to even FIND my online order, of which they hadn't even BEGUN to make. No "sorry", and no explanation given at all. I began to get a little annoyed. Then they told me to wait out front and they'd bring out the pizza in "five minutes." I waited for twenty minutes out front, getting further annoyed. No one came out, so I went in. I asked for my pizza. It was in the re-heater. It had been finished, who knows when, but they just didn't bother to take it outside to my truck to give it to me. No apologies, no explanation, just confused looks. I got REALLY mad. I left, never to return ever again. (Review of the actual pizza: The "Veggie Lover's Thin 'n Crispy Pizza" was, technically, a "pizza". And it was thin, and it had veggies on it, but it was soggy and FAR from "crispy." I couldn't eat it as it completely offended my taste buds, but my wife thought that it was "edible." However, I thought it to be a complete mockery of a real pizza.) I can accept a LOT of incompetence sent my way, but what I can't accept is the "we don't give a DAMN about our customers" attitude, which is apparently pervasive at the Kanab Pizza Hut.

Completely dry sink after 2 female employees exit without washing hands
    Venisa S.

So, driving in from Texas through town we decided to stop by and enjoy our favorite past time. A little in dining fresh pizza hut. To my despair, 2 of the female employees came in and out of the ladies room and I go in right after the last girl. Low and behold, the bathroom sink is completely dry. They're handling our food and I'm completely disgusted. Lost my appetite completely. I'm amazed and didn't realize this until I went in. Clearly the sign in the restroom states ALL EMPLOYEES WASH HANDS AFTER USING RESTROOM AND BEFORE HANDLING FOOD. Sink is completely dry. I'm just disgusted.

No marinara sauce so dry and tasteless
    e n.

Terrible pizza. Worst Pizza Hut ever They forgot to put marinara sauce or they just apply sauce at the edge. The pizza did not taste at all. It was dry and tested like bread with cheese. Customer service was ok. Pizza was ready in 12 min and drive thru pick up is great Unfortunately, 15 bucks wasted. This Pizza was really inedible. Next time I would try lotsa motsa pizza which is around the corner.

The guy at the register was helpful in a genuine way- poor dude is sporting a shoulder injury, but didn't slow him down. I got the Cuban steak plate with the grilled onions, which was amazing! Only complaint is the beans were more liquid than beans, but there are never enough beans for me and they were flavorful. I poured the sauce on my rice and ate every bite. The tres leches is beyond amazing though! It's soaked, but not soggy with cinnamon on top. I got it to go and gave my boyfriend exactly one bite then claimed it all for myself. They also have a pay it forward wall where you can give an amount of money for people experiencing a hard time. While I was there someone came in asking to wash dishes for some food and the register guy made sure he saw the cards and got fed. That is something special for this business to not only not look over those in need, but go out of their way to take care of them. It really says a lot about the kindness of owners and employees.

I didn't expect to see Cuban food in the middle of Utah, yet here we are. Grab a menu from the counter and have a seat or just order. Between the four of us we had: 1. Cuban Pork plate - tender pieces of roasted pork with rice and black beans. 2. The Smothered Burrito - a stuffed burrito covered with cheats sauce. My buddy had this and ate it heartily. The only comment I received from him was that it was very good. 3. Steak sandwiches- Slices of tender sirloin steak, wrapped in deliciousness. 4. I had the double western cheese burger. Two patties, cheese, bacon and an onion ring. It was very good but a little over cooked for me. All in all we enjoyed the location, the service was very helpful and attentive. Find yourself in Kanab, try them out. Michael C. - Georgetown, Tx.

If treated as take-out, provide the plastic cutlery. But really, give us our food on a tray and save the paper waste. Baked potato was too done. Skin very tough and toasty. No butter with potato Main complaint -- the plastic knife and fork were so flimsy as to be not useful. No, I didn't say anything to the staff at the time; they don't buy that cheap crap as a supply. Yelped my issue instead. Bottom line, don't order the baked potato.

Imagine walking into Wendy's with a simple craving, only to first be unsettled by the odd person at…read morethe counter before your order. From the moment we arrived, something was off--the person taking orders had an unnerving vibe, completely unlike the typical fast food employee. And then, to our disbelief, we learned he wasn't just any order taker... he was the manager. Right from the start, his behavior was a live performance of absurd incompetence and insecurity. After repeatedly bungling our order, he had the gall to instruct us to cancel the transaction on the payment pad. The farce didn't stop there. What's even more outrageous is that when we asked him to correct the error--he had mistakenly keyed in the wrong kind of sandwich--he not only refused to fix it but also refused to say his own name. Instead, he goaded us to call Corporate Wendy's. (We later discovered from another review that this same individual had treated a customer's grandmother with aggressive, demeaning behavior.) It's a tragedy mixed with humor--a rogue manager using his franchise as a shield to dodge responsibility, while the local business owner watches helplessly as quality and decency cool off like room-temperature burgers. As for the food, the sandwiches were so poorly assembled that one members of our party claimed the menu must be a false advertisement. Every bite of the meal was a reminder of the chaotic incompetence that defined this visit. In short, this Wendy's is a theater of mismanagement and mishaps where you're not a customer--you're an unwilling participant in a calamity. If you value decent service and a properly made sandwich (or simply want to avoid a public display of absurdity), steer well clear of this establishment. There are several far more pleasant options just a minute away.

Per the cashier, Zuzu, there would be an 18 minute wait for our food. She was on the dot correct, and 18 minutes later, we were biting in: Kanab Burger + Fries ($19) - Let's start with the patty. It's really good quality, about half an inch thick after cooking, still with a good portion of pink at medium-well doneness, resulting in a burger with plenty of moisture remaining inside. The patty, slightly smaller than the size of the bun, is charred well, but still tender and extremely beefy inside. The burger is slathered with a ton of chimichurri aioli, creamy, bright and herbaceous along with two slices of melted Muenster. It's so creamy that some starts dripping out as soon as the burger is lifted up. To add even more fat (which I honestly don't think is required), there are plenty of small avocado slices, followed by a single thin slice of tomato, which I found to be too small for the burger. There's then plenty of arugula, peppery and bitter to finish. It leads to a pretty well balanced burger, all on the bun emblazoned with the Only in Kanab logo. The bun compresses well to really cradle the ingredients. We ordered this with fries, which are pretty average in size and shape. Some are a bit over fried, but most are okay and still fluffy inside. They dust it with a liberal amount of seasoning salt, so it's quite salty. Shadow of the Dragon Burger ($14) - The burger patty is the same as above, but the other ingredients are mostly different. There's a garlicky and tangy sambal giving just a hint of heat. There's crunchy fried red bell pepper bits embedded in the hot sauce and then another creamy, slightly sweet sauce spread on the buns. It's overall not very spicy at all, and very messy to eat since things spill out easily. I think both burgers are a bit too abundant with the ingredients, but I don't think either were overloaded either. Overall these were very good burgers and a surprising find for such a small town where I didn't expect to find great food at all.
