    Kanab Pizza Hut
    C.W. S.

The Kanab Pizza Hut -- the APEX of incompetence. I'll try and make it short, but it will certainly not be sweet: We ordered a "Thin 'n Crispy" Veggie Pizza online for drive through pick up (gave a 20% gratuity). Waited for Pizza Hut's online web counter to count down to zero. Went to pick up pizza. Waited in the Pick-up lane. Got to the Pick-up window. Took them five minutes to even FIND my online order, of which they hadn't even BEGUN to make. No "sorry", and no explanation given at all. I began to get a little annoyed. Then they told me to wait out front and they'd bring out the pizza in "five minutes." I waited for twenty minutes out front, getting further annoyed. No one came out, so I went in. I asked for my pizza. It was in the re-heater. It had been finished, who knows when, but they just didn't bother to take it outside to my truck to give it to me. No apologies, no explanation, just confused looks. I got REALLY mad. I left, never to return ever again. (Review of the actual pizza: The "Veggie Lover's Thin 'n Crispy Pizza" was, technically, a "pizza". And it was thin, and it had veggies on it, but it was soggy and FAR from "crispy." I couldn't eat it as it completely offended my taste buds, but my wife thought that it was "edible." However, I thought it to be a complete mockery of a real pizza.) I can accept a LOT of incompetence sent my way, but what I can't accept is the "we don't give a DAMN about our customers" attitude, which is apparently pervasive at the Kanab Pizza Hut.

Completely dry sink after 2 female employees exit without washing hands
    Venisa S.

So, driving in from Texas through town we decided to stop by and enjoy our favorite past time. A little in dining fresh pizza hut. To my despair, 2 of the female employees came in and out of the ladies room and I go in right after the last girl. Low and behold, the bathroom sink is completely dry. They're handling our food and I'm completely disgusted. Lost my appetite completely. I'm amazed and didn't realize this until I went in. Clearly the sign in the restroom states ALL EMPLOYEES WASH HANDS AFTER USING RESTROOM AND BEFORE HANDLING FOOD. Sink is completely dry. I'm just disgusted.

No marinara sauce so dry and tasteless
    e n.

Terrible pizza. Worst Pizza Hut ever They forgot to put marinara sauce or they just apply sauce at the edge. The pizza did not taste at all. It was dry and tested like bread with cheese. Customer service was ok. Pizza was ready in 12 min and drive thru pick up is great Unfortunately, 15 bucks wasted. This Pizza was really inedible. Next time I would try lotsa motsa pizza which is around the corner.

    Burnt pizza

Probably won't go back to my local pizza hut. I ordered a pepperoni lovers, this is not a pepperoni lovers, this is a regular pepperoni pizza, no extra cheese no extra pepperoni, o yeah and it was burnt. I was hoping the new management would fix these problems. O well, lotsa Motsa hasn't failed me.yet, except they don't do things crust.

The dinner was very good, although it is a little on the pricey side but I think it's worth it. We ordered the steak and fried rice, and we especially loved the fried rice! The ambience is really nice, and the wait staff was friendly and attentive. Since we were staying at the hotel, we were also told that breakfast was included, so we came back the next morning to try it. The breakfast is definitely geared toward a specific type of person, and unfortunately, it just wasn't for me or my friend. They serve yogurt, an egg, and a pastry, and we didn't really enjoy it, so we ended up finding breakfast elsewhere on the other mornings. Overall, we really enjoyed our dinner and would definitely recommend coming here for that, but the breakfast just wasn't our favorite.

Plenty of juicy shredded pork, lots of real bacon pieces, mixed greens, cheddar cheese, cabbage, tomatoes and onions in perfect harmony! Pour that BBQ sauce and ranch all over, and you have yourself just the ticket after hiking 7 miles! My hubby snagged the pork verde crepes which he loved too. Check out the pics! MeMe went out of her way to find me a size small t-shirt that is beautifully screenprinted with a design that celebrates both Zion Canyon and MeMe's! Check them out! We saw bar food and beer, plus the clincher--a kids' menu with chicken tenders. Everybody happy. We were surprised by the ambiance, mainly that Jack's is pretty cozy but feels uncrowded. Sports memorabilia representing teams from across the country festoons the walls with TVs galore. There's a robot patrolling to bus tables... Our server, Amber, greeted us quickly and took good care of us throughout, taking split checks and indecisive kiddos in stride. Drinks came out first. I enjoyed my draft porter and my friend indulged in a can of Melvin 2x4. Pepsi products for the kiddos. Ironically, dads ordered the same meal, and the boys each had chicken fingers. The brisket sandwich featured surprisingly tasty beef, moist and cut perfectly for going on a bun. It's pretty filling. I took about half with me. Beans offered nothing spectacular--somewhat runny, but compelling enough to finish. Fries were fries. Chicken tenders looked standard. The boys rated them second out of three on our trip. 3.5 star food. Nice atmosphere. Good service. Round it up to four Springdale stars.

It has a spacious outdoor play area with games, fun photo props, and an old Western wagon that kids can climb on and explore. After a long day in the car during our road trip, my kids had an amazing time playing while we waited for our meal. There is also indoor seating available. The food was delicious, and the portions were large and very filling. Meals were around $20 each , which felt like a fair value for the quality and portion size. If you're traveling with kids or looking for a family-friendly restaurant with great food and entertainment, this is definitely worth a stop.

I really wanted to love this restaurant because the Western atmosphere is fantastic and certainly draws you in. Unfortunately, our overall dining experience fell considerably short. I want to begin with the positive. Nancy, who I believe is either the owner or manager, was remarkable--friendly, approachable, easy to communicate with, and genuinely willing to acknowledge areas where the restaurant could improve. I have tremendous respect for that kind of humility in management. She was also gracious enough to waive the corkage fee for the bottle of wine we brought. Our biggest problem was the steaks. Our server, Dwayne, explained that the steaks are cut in-house. The quality of the beef itself seemed perfectly decent, but unfortunately the cutting and preparation were not. My wife and one of our friends ordered ribeyes, while I ordered the baseball-cut top sirloin. The steaks were extremely chewy and difficult to eat. If a restaurant is going to butcher steaks in-house, proper cutting technique and trimming are critical. Based on what we received, I strongly believe additional training and oversight are needed in this area. Dwayne initially offered to replace the steaks or provide a discount. We hate wasting food, so rather than sending several steaks back and having them thrown away, we tried our best to eat what we could. When the bill arrived, however, only approximately 10% had been discounted. Considering that replacement steaks had been offered because of the problem, I found that resolution disappointing. There were also service inconsistencies. At one point, Dwayne returned roughly 10 minutes after taking our order and asked how our food was, even though we were still waiting for our salads and hadn't received our entrées. We were also charged for chips and dip that we had never ordered. Nancy had brought them to the table, and we specifically mentioned that we hadn't ordered them, yet the charge nevertheless appeared on our bill. To be fair, not everything was disappointing. The Caesar salad was actually one of the highlights of the evening and was very good. My friend's Frank Sinatra Burger was also good, and he enjoyed it. So there are clearly things coming out of this kitchen that work. Our total was close to $200 including gratuity, and unfortunately several members of our party left feeling that the meal simply didn't justify the expense. I had told Nancy that I would leave a good review, and I sincerely intended to do so. But I also believe reviews have to honestly reflect the experience, both good and bad. Nancy herself impressed me tremendously; the Western atmosphere is fun; and there are some good items on the menu. The restaurant's shortcomings, however, particularly with steak preparation, service follow-through, and billing accuracy, need attention. Unfortunately, we're leaving Kanab and won't have an opportunity to give Iron Horse another try on this trip. I sincerely wish Nancy and her team the very best. She clearly cares about the business, and I hope she takes this feedback in the constructive spirit in which it is intended. With better training, stronger quality control, and more consistent service, this restaurant has the potential to deliver an experience that matches its wonderful atmosphere.
