The goats cheese was mild and didn't overpower the rest of the pizza. The Pesto pizza had generous amount of toppings! It was also very juicy with the fresh tomatoes, artichokes and pesto sauce. I love that this place offers vegan cheese, it was a great place to stop at for a bite to eat! The pizza was tasty and reminiscent of a traditional pizza I would get as a child. Standard pizza place in town. We ordered a medium half-half: Summer Goat and pesto. The crust was relatively thin and didn't taste bad, but didn't taste like much when eating alone. Pizza had good toppings, though the sundried tomatoes from the Summer Goat and the artichokes from the pesto were the highlights, intended or not. We like Pizza Port whenever we visit the coast. We went on a Saturday night, though, and because they are do popular, there was a long line to get in, and about 45 minutes after that to get pizza. Call early! We had one large Morro Bay Meat Lovers pizza, our usual, and it was delicious as always. Plenty of toppings, and it was still hot by the time we got back home. Signage suggests they are serious about mitigating COVID. Indoor seating is limited. Pokestop on site, and several nearby to keep you busy while you wait. read more

Until they get their staffing issues worked out, no one should be eating here-or ordering from here. Last night my wife put in an order online after calling and getting a recording. The order seemed to go through fine. The card was charged (almost $60), with a pick-up time (it was an hour's wait, but we decided our growling stomachs could wait). At the appointed time we walked over. It took us two tries to find the storefront because it was so dark). With our phone light we were able to make out a handwritten sign on the storefront advising that because of staffing issues the restaurant was closed. What? You charged our credit card, made us wait, had us walk over, and your restaurant isn't even open? Since that time we have tried calling numerous times (no human has answered the phone). No one has gotten back to us regarding the credit card charge. Clearly, management should disable the ordering system on days the restaurant is closed. We are still waiting to hear back from anyone. Have they taken another day off? This is no way to operate a business. read more

I went yesterday and the vibe was completely different then the last time I came with my family. We ordered like we normally do large 1/2 pepperoni 1/2 olive and a garlic cheese bread. Well they changed their garlic cheese bread, it definitively was not for the better. The cheese did not melt and the garlic was not cooked into the bread or cheese. The pizza was ok not as great as it been. The cheese was sliding off the pizza and the dough was undercooked. The cashier that took the order looked like she rolled in flour and never washed her hands. The cook never washed her hands in between tasks and running food out. One star for so-so pizza, and we received the wrong toppings on both pizzas. Salad was good though. I want to be fair to the workers (mostly) as this place clearly has an ownership/ manage problem. We called in our order at 6:15 and was told it would be ready at 7:30. We went to the store but when we arrived to pick up the order, we waited another hour. The young teenage staff were overwhelmed and disorganized by the many incomplete orders and inadequate staffing and oven space to keep up. We actually had to go behind the counter and demand the pizzas that were finished but just sitting there. We would have left and gone elsewhere long before that but when you walk in, they ask you to pay but you have no idea at that point how much longer it will be. Up until now, we've always been happy with the food and service. Perhaps this is a temporary situation but there are other similar reviews. Service was friendly and welcoming as well :-) We shared two pies - one combo and one with just pepperoni. They were both ready very quickly, and couldn't have tasted better - especially when paired with a couple of nice, cold beers! I had to try it just to maybe give them a chance and it was just bread with little cheese absolutely no flavor. My BF wouldn't even touch it. This place is still open despite the Coronavirus outbreak, they have switched to curbside pickup so you simply order and pay online, drive up and give them a call and they bring your food right out to your car! It's a great service and the food is fantastic! We were so thrilled to be able to still have a date night at home after working so many extra hours this week because of the outbreak! This was our first time visiting pizza Port but it definitely will not be our last! We got a nice variety of pizza, calzone minis (which are huge!) and garlic bread with cheese to share. All were absolutely delicious. We started with the cheesy garlic bread, that was super tasty but not overly greasy like some places. Nice and light and came with sauce to dip it in which we appreciated. We also had the mini calzones with 2 toppings each. I had the Italian sausage and mushroom and boyfriend got mushroom and jalapeños which he loved. The Italian sausage was sooo good and there were tons of toppings inside. This could have easily been an entire meal in itself. The calzones also came with sauce for dipping though there is also sauce inside. We also grabbed a couple of pizzas. One large thin crust with extra cheese and marinara. It was absolute perfection! Perfect crust, just the right amount of sauce and the sauce is super flavorful and that cheese! Not so much that it turned into a giant brick but just a perfect little extra! Loved it. I could easily eat this exact same pizza every day for the rest of my life. We also grabbed a build your own on the regular crust which I would say is just a bit thicker like a hand tossed style pizza. Great sauce and we added lots of mushroom, lite onion and black olive. I love that the staff listened to our requests and made it perfectly! We are so glad to have found this place and hope to come back again soon! We had plenty of leftovers for the next days lunch and late night snacking while working so that is great and makes this place much more of a deal than you'd expect.
