Just had the strangest experience at this restaurant My boyfriend and I headed to pizza port to have lunch on my birthday and we're excited to have a fresh salad - a nice contrast to all the fried sea food in the area. We were greeted and ordered from a nice young man and generally all was well. A bit later my boyfriend spotted that same young man tossing pizza dough and asked him if he could take a picture of him- to which he consented and blatantly said yes. Not a second into my boyfriend taking the picture a harsh, aggressive voice is heard from a table down the way and began shouting at my boyfriend questions about why he was taking a picture... the lady said she was the manager of the establishment. She continued to aggressively shout from the table rather than get up and address it professionally and i don't know... maybe just kindly? We would have been happy to not take a picture of this guy tossing pizza in the air ... lol truly not the end of the world. She mentioned needing to protect her employees (totally fair), which had she gotten up and spoken to us would have known he had already agreed. Also, who is she protecting the employee from? Our scrapbook lol? Anyway, the vibe was so bad and gave me so much anxiety (I almost cried!) that we packed up and left. A horrible way to spend a birthday lunch. Love their dough and sauce recipes, but depending on who is making the pizza (or calzones) that day, can be thin, thick, doughy, crispy--you never know. We have gone here one other time a few years back. We decided to try it out again. From what I remember during our first visit, the pizza was medium thickness and the flavor was okay and I would come back. After having it again, I would never go back. We ordered a xl cheese pizza. When it came out, we could tell something was wrong with it. When we went to grab a slice the pizza just fell apart. It was very thin and the bottom was complete burnt. To me it looks like they stretched their dough way too thin. When you have barley their dough the pizza will fall apart and it will cook super fast. You can also tell that they do not use a roller or their finger tips in the dough. If they did, there wouldn't be bubbles or places missing cheese. I grabbed our burnt pizza and took it back to the front counter. I told the women working there that are pizza was burnt. She said she would make a new one right away. Ten minutes later our pizza arrived. By the look of it, it looked a lot better. There were some areas that were not fully cooked. This pizza was very thin and had barley any sauce. It wasn't filling at all. We realized we should have just ordered a smaller pizza, it would have been thicker. There isn't anything good about this pizza. I would never go back. I suggest they use more dough when making an xl pizza. Don't just stretch it out. Very disappointed. read more

It was our first time visiting Pizza Port. Had I known how good it was I would have visited sooner. We were greeted when we entered which I loved. Makes you feel welcome. Our pizza order did not take long at all and came out nice and hot. The topping on the pizza were all fresh and don't get me started on the freshly made pizza crust. So good! They carry all kinds of choices of toppings as well as salad, pasta and desserts. They offer soft drinks as well as a variety of beer. I am sure looking forward to going back this summer for more.
