We called early on Christmas Eve to confirm when they were closing. We were told that they close at four today. We planned a pizza meal for the holiday. I called at 3pm to order the food for my family and was informed that they were already closed because things were slow. Changing hours unexpectedly like that is disrespectful. Not the best. Not the worst, but not worth returning. When you grow up with Italians in Jersey...you KNOW great pizza and for me it's just ok. This place definitely has a quality dough and sauce, but it defeats the purpose when it's under seasoned and bland. I had high hopes for this wood fired pizza and was even willing to handle up to a 50+ min wait as it said on the menu, but even the service was not impressive. I rather make it at home or go to a pizza buffet, then have a waitress appear uncomfortable to serve you and barely crack a smile. We gave a good tip anyway, but won't be returning. read more

I really liked their pizza! When we walked in, it appeared a little dark, but could smell the pizza in the air so stayed. Was seated relatively quickly. There is a bar in front, and nearby tables and a booth. They appear to have outdoor seating too. The salad is very large, fresh, tasty and light despite being small size. The pizza are really good! I got the margarita and the funghi pizza. The mushroom pizza was delicious. I'm not a huge tomato sauce fan, but it tasted good with the margarita pizza. Crust is thin. It tasted light and fresh. Only problem is it disappears really quick off the plate. Their bathrooms and tables are clean. Service is great, attentive and friendly. It is a little dark and old looking but don't let that turn you off to the amazing food. That being said, their price point is a little high for small pizzas. Overall- I really enjoyed the pizza here! I would definitely consider coming back if in the area. Would consider this a hidden gem. read more

As an avid eater of pizza and a person who eats out frequently this is one of my favorite joints that has recently opened in the Brandon area. One of our first trips to PIZZA ROCK were shortly after it opened and we've been in love since. The menu has a variety of unique pizza options, many of which are always perfectly delicious, and surprisingly as a person who has always hated chicken wings i find theirs as delicious as their pizzas. The staff is always cheerful, quick, and to borrow a phrase; on point! I will caution that you may not need to order as much as you think you do as the portions are typically very generous. read more

From the person who greeted us, to the person who handed us our pizza, had such hospitality that it was nice to be so catered to. The only deter for me is the price. So I walk in and sit at the bar cuz I am going to place an order for a couple of pies to go but would like a beer first. The bar tender looked at me like I had the plague and refused to serve or even talk to me. She referred me to a coworker that was only working tables I guess cuz I was not a regular. Imagine sitting at a full bar where everyone has the bar tenders attention but you. Keep in mind she waited on everyone but me. She talked about makeup and hair the whole time. The patrons talked to me more than she did. Her coworker gave me good service when he wasn't running to the floor to his other tables. I gave him a $20 tip on a $55 tab. But this is not the first time I have had marginal service here and in 2020 when people were not going out I went here and got COVID just a few days later cuz nobody wore a mask at the height of the pandemic. I didn't go anywhere else. I don't think I will return here and would not recommend this restaurant. They don't care about their patrons and it shows. For what it's worth the pizza was good, but I'm old enough to place a high priority on service. Very poor service again. I am writing this time as I have consistently had bad service here and I tip well. I just may not look like I do. Don't judge a book by its cover. read more

Not only is the pizza fantastic, but the atmosphere is too. You can watch the chef in the front craft your pizza and then you can watch it cook in the spinning pizza rock oven. There are lots of original combinations for pizza that you may have never tried. I ordered "The Mobster"-creamy red pepper sauce, roasted red and yellow peppers, red onion, mozzarella and parmesan cheese, and sausage (I traded for bacon). Fantastic. I also tried the empanadas - one chicken and one beef. The creamy chimmichurri sauce served with the rocked and the beef was shredded, not ground, which was a nice surprise. Throw in that the staff was super friendly and attentive and you've got a recipe for a place I'll definitely be back to. Meh. We got the $29 Family Dinner ToGo Special and it was awful. My son that never turns his nose up at any pizza even said this was the worse pizza he's ever had. I thought it was just me but didn't voice my unfavorable opinion as we ate together. So his opinion was honest and untainted. And what 20-year-old doesn't like anything covered in cheese?!? You could see the shape of the shredded cheese still in its original form in the center of the pizza. The wings were good, a few were chard, we just peeled the skin off those. The salad leaves looked like they were a day or two past their prime. The entire meal, on paper, looked like a bargain but there is an old saying "you get what you pay for". I know Pizza Rock is pretty popular in Brandon but I have had very bad luck with them the last three or four times we've eaten there and I've sworn off patronizing them the last time but this time I truly mean it. Done. I'm giving them three stars because when they originally opened and they were excellent but this experience from yesterday's lunch (like the past few times) was one star .... so I'm gonna meet in the middle and compromise at three stars. I have voiced my opinion a few times about the subpar quality of food I received from Pizza Rock and the owner was less than receptive to any coaching opportunities my opinion may spark. I don't expect him to be any better this time around when he sees this review. In case you're wondering why I gave them another try after not being happy prior, they are the only local pizza shop open on Monday that isn't a national chain. read more

This place has hands down some of the best pizza since moving down from Boston. The crust was amazing incredibly light and airy. The chopped salad was great as well. Service was great. Pizza Rock is the newest "hot spot" in Brandon for delicious authentic hand made pizza. We went on a Saturday night and was greeted quickly. The interior has a 60's vibe with cool vintage concert posters and music. It was busy and we waited about 30 minutes for a table. Beverages are beer, wine and soda- no cocktails. The menu has an extensive pizza menu, catering to every taste. We started with wings as an appetizer. They were advertised as smoked and flash fried. Yum! The chopped salad did not disappoint as well. Beware- we ordered a small and it would have fed three people easily. We ordered "The Butcher" a meat lovers feast! It certainly was sooo much better than any chain pizza! The crust was simply amazing. At first bite, you knew it was made with fresh top quality ingredients. *Note- the menu states that the pizza is made fresh to order and can take 45-60 minutes. Ours did not but here's a tip. It's bad enough they don't stay open later in the evening and now they close on a daily basis. We ordered from here for the first time after we saw the good reviews. We ordered the family combo which comes with a 2L soda, 2-topping pizza, wings, garlic bread, and a salad. The wings were delicious but the pizza was so so. It might be the best wings I've had in a while. Though we were not impressed with the pizza. I was a little disappointed that the person who took our order did not tell us that the salad comes with some kind of cheese on top. I was getting ready to eat the salad after my husband brought the food home, but I could not even eat it because I do not eat cheese. We should have been informed or the toppings should be put on the side just in case the person does not eat it or has an allergy or intolerance to it. read more
