PizzAmore delivers the best pizza I've had in Albany. The sauce is a bit spice-heavy and for me (as an elder millennial), that spells certain heartburn. Have I stopped ordering it despite the pain? Heck no, because it's just that delicious. A lot of folks really like the garlic knots, too. I also like them, but I've stopped ordering them because I've found that I much prefer the pizza. After reading the reviews and a recommendation from a guy at Costco, we gave this a try and were disappointed. At best this place was decent based on our experience. The interior was ok. Not especially clean (dirty fork which happens I guess) and the overall appearance was eh. One thing that stood out was the disorganization of the operations and employees. The employees were nice, but not efficient. We waited about ten minutes just for them to wash more forks. We ordered a family tossed salad which when it finally came out was good. The little garlic rolls were Great. I had to go to the counter twice asking for the salad. The second time I saw it just sitting there. The girl said she would bring it right out (I think they were waiting for the rolls to finish) but hey, we were hungry. We ordered the chicken bacon cheddar pizza. I asked if it was good and was told yes. Well, the chicken was dry and so tasted the whole pizza. I ate one piece and was done. Even my son who was starving barely ate it. I can't say enough how much we loved this place! We had the garlic knots and pizza. The garlic knots are amazing!!! Soaked in butter, cheese and garlic-I wanted to lick the bottom of the basket for all the cheesy garlic yumminess! The pizza was delicious-the crust was perfect! I just paid $40 for 2 slices of pizza and some garlic knots and a couple rootbeers. I know everything is expensive but $9 a slice is crazy. You have to order while standing in line so it's super awkward. Then you have to pick a table to sit at and the table we picked was dirty. I had heard about this restaurant for a few years and finally made it there for lunch. I went w a friend, she had one pizza slice lunch special and I had the other. We shared the Greek salad (plenty for two since the other special was 6 garlic knots) and got to add toppings to the pizza slice (more like two slices) I added chicken, artichoke and spinach while she had canadian bacon and pineapple.
