Diavola, Margherita, Special Margherita with Bufala
    Megan O.

Ordered takeout on a Friday afternoon, and the pizza was ready quick and fresh. We ordered Margherita, Special Margherita with Bufala, and Diavola. Loved the chewy texture of the dough and the generous amount of cheese and meat! I would recommend Special Margherita over the regular since the buffalo cheese has a richer, creamier taste. The Diavola is great if you're craving a bit of spicy meat, and they really cover the whole top of the pizza with meat.

This is a really popular Japanese pizza spot in Los Angeles, and I remember LOVING Japanese pizza when I visited Japan. I love that they also have really authentic Japanese-style pizza in LA because now whenever I crave it, I can just visit Pizzeria Sei! Their pizzas come out really quickly, so if you want to order take out, it'll probably only take half an hour for all of the pizza to bake. We got a few different types, and everything was genuinely so delicious. Note that there are only a few slices (I think around 6), so you may have to buy more than you expect (compared to American pizza sizes).

Want the best pizza you have ever had? Come here. Voted #2 in the US and #9 in the world in 2025 by "Top 50" ratings. I am a Neapolitan pizza snob - this is insanely good pizza - absolutely worth a special trip. "Yea, but is it worth driving in an hour of LA traffic for?". 100%. Had the charcuterie appetizer (ate half before I took the photo). Amazing. Then had 2 Diavolo pizzas. Incredible.

Pizzeria Sei is definitely a must try in west LA for its Tokyo-style pizza with its delicate mochi-like dough which is soft and thin yet has a light crunch on the crust. My first visit was in August'25 where the mala lamb sausage pizza on their special menu blew me away. Flavor, texture, novelty, and presentation were 10/10! Also loved the small interior with the narrow hallway and bar seating to watch your pizza get freshly delivered from the wood fired oven. The vibe :) Had been craving this since, and finally went back this month for the patate pizza - creamy but not too heavy, topped with golden chewy potatoes & ricotta - and the diavola pizza - for that classic tomato base with a spicy kick from the soppressata & chili flakes. Michelin-recommended is highly deserved! Street parking. There is typically an hour-long wait minimum during the lunch rush, so expect to write your name down and wait elsewhere until they text you as there is not much shade when waiting outside! Ordered takeout online and ate at a nearby park for my second visit which went smoothly and tasted just as amazing.

I've been trying to get into Pizzeria Sei for over a year and somehow never made it work. Finally went Sunday night at 9pm and it ended up being the ideal time. No traffic, easy parking, and the whole place felt relaxed instead of packed. We started with the burrata. Simple, fresh, and done right. A good start without trying too hard. The Special Margherita with bufala was solid, just the most expected of the pizzas. The cheese gave it a little more depth, but compared to the others, it didn't stand out. The Diavola definitely brings heat. Not mild at all. It's like a spicy pepperoni but more intense and lingers a bit. The Bianca was a surprise. It had this light lemon and ricotta flavor that almost felt like a savory dessert, but in a good way. That one was probably my second favorite. The Patate was easily the best thing we ordered. Rich, filling, and full of flavor. It reminded me of a really elevated scalloped potato, but on top of a perfect crust. After waiting that long, it was actually worth it. I'd go back just for the Patate.

Parking is a little tough. All street parking with meters. Sat at the bar, which ended up being a great spot to watch everything coming out of the kitchen. The place has a clean, minimal feel but still feels warm and welcoming. Ordered the Bismarck and the Diavola, plus an orange San Pellegrino Aranciata. The Bismarck was incredible. The crust had that perfect balance of light, airy, and slightly crisp, and once the egg mixed into everything it just brought the whole pizza together. Simple ingredients but really well executed. The Diavola had a great kick to it. The spice from the salami paired perfectly with the cheese and sauce, and the crust again was outstanding. You can tell a lot of care goes into the dough here. Sitting at the bar made the experience even better, and the staff was friendly and attentive the whole time. Everything came out fresh and hot. Easily one of the better pizza experiences I've had and definitely worth coming back for.

Decent spot for Neopolitan style pizza in LA! We had a reservation for 4 people that I fought to get exactly on the dot when reservations opened up, so it was a little frustrating when we arrived that they did not have a table ready for us. We were able to sit at the bar, which became available first, but this was not our preference. Eventually a table opened up and they stated we could move to it, but I just thought this was a little inefficient for a place that takes reservations. The caesar salad had too much dressing on it. You can get it without anchovies, so we ordered them on the side. I do think it needed a more acidic flavor profile to it. All the pizzas were a little bit oily and dripping. The very first bite of the pizzas was the best. But as it got colder, the quality and taste wasn't nearly as good as it was when it was fresh a couple minutes ago. The Patate pizza was a little too salty for me, but I did appreciate the bite when I drizzled truffle oil (ordered separately) on top. I wouldn't opt for this one next time. We also ordered the Bianca, which I was worried would be too similar in flavor to the Patate. But the flavors were distinct, likely due to the lemon flavor on the Bianca. This was so interesting and I really enjoyed it - this was my favorite and I would definitely order the Bianca again! We also ordered the Margherita which wasn't bad. It's probably recommended to eat this type of pizza with a fork and knife, but my whole party used our hands (as I'm sure others do too). So my gripe is that the middle of the pizza is too soggy and it flops when you're holding it. I have had Neopolitan pizza elsewhere that is sturdy enough to hold and eat it with your hands. Parking was quite difficult and we parked several blocks away. There is a bathroom.

Really enjoyed the pizzas we got. This restaurant is TINY so definitely try to get a reservation (I don't even know if they do walk ins). Unfortunately, it was one of the reservations I did have to stalk the release time for, but I thought it was worth the effort. We sat at the pizza counter area which was nice. I always enjoy watching people make pizza. Ordered: - Margarita Special - I always love a margarita pizza - Mala Lamb Sausage - This was also good and unique from other pizzas we had. I would order this again, but I wouldn't order it again if it was my only pizza. I did get tired of the flavor at the end so it was nice to have another pizza to change up the flavor a little bit. - Funghi Crostini - Would recommend if you like you're a fan of mushroom. - Tiramisu

So incredibly delicious! After eating pizza here, I finally understand what real pizza is supposed to taste like. Everything I had before was just glorified American flatbread. The restaurant is clean, the service is fast, and the owner is super friendly and even came by to check if we were enjoying ourselves. One thing to note: reservations are strongly recommended since it gets so busy that walk-ins often can't get a table. P.S. The Margherita special we ordered was so good I found myself thinking about it for three days afterward.

Read about the long lines and crazy wait, so we planned to come mid-afternoon. Arrived around 3-3:30pm on Sunday and luckily caught a lull where there were still a couple open tables left. We sat outside on the street -- pretty barebones setup and not the most comfortable since you're just breathing in car exhaust, but waiting for a table inside would've been an hour. Within 20 minutes of sitting down, a line going out the door had already formed. If you're looking to avoid a wait, come around 2-3pm! We ordered the margherita and the funghi. The margherita was pretty solid: bubbly crust with good char and a good ratio of mozzarella to tomato sauce. The tomato sauce wasn't anything special, but at least had the tanginess that lesser pizzas lack. Undercarriage was wonderfully thin and mostly held up against the toppings, although it was a tad too soggy even for a Neopolitan-style pie. The funghi was visually very appealing and shroomy. I wish they used varieties other than just boring crimini, but at least they weren't skimpy with the amount of mushrooms. Roasted garlic chunks added a nice kick. Unfortunately, the pie was too salty. Tried out the tiramisu for dessert, and it was also just pretty standard fare. Pies took about 20min to come out, so not too long for freshly-made pizza. For all its accolades, I'd put Pizzeria Sei in just the "pretty good" category. Nothing blew me away, but I'd come back for more.

**** 50 Top Pizza World (2025): #9 **** *** 50 Top Pizza USA (2025): #2 *** ** Michelin Plate ** * Los Angeles Times 101 Best Restaurants (2025): #36 * Ranked by the Italy-based Top 50 Pizza organization as the #9 best pizza in the world, and #2 best in the United States, Pizzeria Sei was a restaurant I was very excited to visit. Given their reputation, and the fact that they only have ~18 seats, reservations are unfortunately hard to come by. I had been monitoring their reservation website for a long time and finally got lucky in securing a table for 4 people this past Sunday at 4pm. To eat, we ordered the Mala Lamb Sausage ($29), Napoletana ($25), and two Margherita Special ($26). While each was delicious, if I had to choose a favorite, it would probably be the Napoletana. The olives, garlic, and capers were excellent, and I loved how much sauce was on it. The pizza dough taste and texture was phenomenal across everything we ordered. I'm not sure I've had a more enjoyable pizza before. If looking for top notch pizza in Los Angeles, I don't think you can do better than Pizzeria Sei. It really does live up to the hype. Food aside, service is friendly, fast, and efficient. The ambiance really isn't much, but it's nice enough. The price point is relatively affordable and the portions are satisfying. I would love the opportunity to dine at Pizzeria Sei again. I just wish reservations were a little easier to secure.

I'll be honest, it didn't wow me. I was under the impression it would make me realize every pizza I had before can't compare. All I can say is, it's fresh. I don't know if they underseasoned the pizza the day I went, but I thought it was lacking flavor. I generally can tell when simplicity of ingredients speaks loudly through quality, but I thought the olive oil tasted normal. The dough has a good thin bite to it, nothing out of the ordinary. Marinara sauce is honestly a bit bland (it taste like water, I was expecting a rich umami slightly sweet slightly acidic flavor), I thought it was greenhouse grown tomatoes. The only thing I smelled in there that got my attention was the mala lamb pizza. Every other pizza didn't get my attention. The funghi pizza is just raw sliced baby bella. I was expecting a deep mushroom taste, but the enormous amount of mushrooms gave it a palate of undercooked bland fungi. I only tasted the garlic confit. The slightly raw mushroom field overshadowed everything else, I barely tasted the cheese. I'm not sure what's going on here, but a lot of people liked it. Maybe I just got a bad one? There wasn't much olive oil on the mushrooms to bring out the flavor. 2.5/5 The diavola gave me a better impression of this place, but I was still chasing for more. For some reason even with the basil and olives, I mainly tasted chili flakes. Again there wasn't really an aroma of what I'd expect from high quality olive oil/basil/marinara. The soppressata and the chili flakes were definitely singing the tunes here. 3.8/5 Very popular and busy. Location is small so it seems more exclusive. You get to watch the whole show up front at the counter. Sat down 10 minutes before my reservation and got seated immediately, service is quite good here. Would I come back to try other pizza? Yes. Would I recommend this as one of the best in LA? Probably not.

Amazing pizza, very fresh. Crust is nice and crispy. Service is quick and everyone there is nice. Would definitely recommend to go. In terms of the pizzas, the ham one wasn't as good, it was a little too cheesy for me. The other ones were good though! The servers know the pizza by looking too, and immediately identified the pizzas I wanted to eat. The pizzas are all made fresh (or so it seems) so it's definitely worth to go in person.

The service is impeccable and very friendly to you. They're really knowledgeable about their dishes too. The place just reeks of experience and professionalism. And I can't even start with the dishes. From the vongole down to the tiramisu, everything is delectable and perfect. The only downside is they raised their prices over the years I loved it when I used to get pasta for less than 20 bucks a few years ago. And the wait tends to be terrible so I would try to go earlier (opening) next time or just hop to a bar nearby while on the waitlist. Overall, I will forever love this place (unless they change the chef for worse) and so worth going every time.

My sister and I came in without reservations around 8pm and they sat us inside on the counter after 10 minutes of waiting. They were pretty full for table dining. Spicy Pomodoro (3.5/5) - This didn't hit as hard for me; I wished it was more spicy and I didn't taste any truffle. Pasta itself was perfectly al dente. Sweet Corn Agnolotti (5/5) - This was delish! Make sure to get equal parts of the pasta, sauce, corn, and crème fraiche (like a light sour cream) to get that flavor explosion. Creme was a little sour, corn was sweet, and the agnolotti was salty; perfect bite fr. My only negative is that this dish was too small for $28 :(. Blood Orange Pavlova (4/5) - A truly layered dessert because if you ate the sorbet by itself, it would be too sour but otherwise, another flavor explosion. The pavlova was thick and you really have to jam your spoon in to break the pieces apart. Service was friendly and fast! Overall, I'd come back!

Still stands-up to the hype after all these years…read more If "Trendy" was a restaurant, Bestia would easily be in top contention, even after being around for more than a decade. That says a lot. Once upon a time (a few years ago), my CFP + banking institution wanted to thank me for being one of their top private clients. They expressed their gratitude with a very generous, all expense paid full-course meal at Bestia. To say that I was impressed would be an understatement. Fast forward to now, I knew that coming back here would be a good idea. Make no mistake, even if you try to book a reservation several weeks in-advance, don't be surprised if the only available seats are at the counter. Granted, I was in a spacey table during my past visit, the counter can be an enjoyable & unintentionally entertaining space. It's great for a more casual vibe, as you get to see some of the kitchen workers put together some of their signature dishes. In many ways, Bestia seems like a microcosm of the city that it rather humbly resides within. What always catches me off-guard, is that the surrounding simple area really doesn't reflect the happening, vibrant, night-life that resides within the building's walls. You feel like you're taken so a different, very social, very bustling world. WINE: Podere 72, Poderi San Lazzaro (Marche region, central Italy) - 8.7 / 10 A very robust blend of Montepulciano & Sangiovese grapes that results in a balanced, medium bodied red wine that stands-up to heartiness of a beef ribeye steak. FOOD: Roasted Bone Marrow - 9.4/ 10 I have several friends that go here just for this particular dish. Funny enough, one can almost always tell that one is at Bestia because of the rather peculiar manner in which this dish is served. Hot, melted bone marrow is appropriately scooped out of the bone & poured onto spinach gnocchetti. It's like eating beef flavored mouth pillows of potato + spinach. It's definitely a dish that will impress whoever you are with. I can never resist ordering this whenever I am here. Oxtail alla Vaccinara - 8.9 / 10 The deep, rich maroon color of the rigatoni (thanks to beets) is a sight to behold. The pasta is firm but not too hard. It's a humble yet complex pasta dish that complements any main course. 26oz Margaret River Wagyu Ribeye - 9.4 / 10 Anybody who knows me knows that I love my ribeye. Any decent fancy restaurant does a ribeye. But no one does a ribeye quite like Bestia. The fermented mushroom cream delivers a punch of pungence not unlike a delectable dijon mustard, but to the highest of levels. This dish also makes me a believer in well-cooked onions served alongside steak. I usually like to take a home a portion of ribeye for later, but this is one of the very few instances when the steak is so good, that I can't help but finish it here. Again, the portion is more than enough to be shared. Fromage Blanc Mousse - 9.1 / 10 This seasonal dish hits all the right notes. It's the fanciest of cheesecakes, so I recommend sharing this. With its decadence, a little truly goes a long way & that's perfectly fine. The richness of the cheese is offset perfectly by the right balance of candied kumquats. A great "bite" to end on. Huge shout-out & thanks to Radu for being the nicest & most enthusiastic of servers. It's little things like him being so down to take pics of you with your party that really make me want to come back here. It the owners / management is reading this, please recognize how pivotal he is to your team. If he was working under me, I would most definitely give him a raise. Also, shout-out to Dani at the hostess stand. She is one of the most personable people. For being the first person that patrons see upon entering, she is the perfect face, attitude, & welcoming personality that the hospitality industry is in dire need of. She's a rockstar of a hostess & a pleasure to talk with. Bestia is a better place because of valuable employees like Radu & Dani. As always, come for the food. Come back for the service. I would definitely come back because of how amazing Radu & Dani are. Years after the hype, the vibe is still very much happening at Bestia.

The Caesar salad was really good, and the branzino was honestly one of the best I've ever had - great presentation too. The kitchen staff in the back were some latino dudes but tbey clearly know what they're doing because the food tasted very authentic and well executed. I'm giving 3 stars for service because we waited way too long for our bottle of wine. When it finally came out, it wasn't the bottle I ordered, and our waitress Lauren insisted it was the same thing, which felt insulting because it was obviously not the same vintage - it was off by two years. At that point, I just wanted some wine already, so l let it go. That said, the ambiance was great, and the food alone makes this place worth visiting.

The manager was very friendly and accommodating. He brought us an extra chair at the bar because there two bar chairs next to each other. The bartender was also friendly. We shared n Arugula Prosciutto pizza which came out very fast. It was big enough for two people to share, yet not heavy. The crust was thin and a good representation of Neapolitan style pizza. My friend got the strawberry cocktail which was refreshing. We found street parking on Selma. Make sure to look for street parking signs. It's Hollywood, so parking can be a challenge but with patience you can usually find a spot. The majority of the restaurant is an open air patio. It's bright, airy, and had a busy upscale casual vibe. I'd go back to try the pasta dishes.

The experience did not disappoint -- it was beautiful from beginning to end. Our extraordinary server was James. He was engaging, attentive and unpretentious. His knowledge of the menu was impressive as he explained each section and item in a simplified way. After making our choices, he suggested changing one of our pasta selections since they all had heavy sauces. We accepted his recommendation of the Spaghetti Arrabbiata, which turned out to be everyone's favorite! The tomato-based sauce was light and perfectly spicy. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING was amazing. The focaccia, oxtail meatballs and burrata with ham were a great start, showcasing the quality of the ingredients and thoughtful preparations -- they set the tone for our entire meal. The taste and texture of the freshly made pastas were unmistakable and so, so good with the wonderful sauces. The lamb chops were well-seasoned and cooked to perfection. I especially enjoyed the bed of sliced snow peas, green beans and English peas set over mint sauce. After all that, we had just enough room for shared desserts -- Budino and Tiramisu. Both were the perfect finish to a delicious meal. If you like chocolate, the Budino is for you -- rich but not overly sweet. Each yummy bite with the crumble topping was nicely balanced by the sprinkled salt. Service was impeccable and well-coordinated. We especially appreciated that dishes and utensils were changed after each course. A couple things to keep in mind: *Reservations - Via Resy. The reservation window is open 14 days at a time. *Parking - Valet is right in front. We found street parking just around the corner on Sunset (metered but free after 7pm). *Price Point - Approximately $100 per person. Mother Wolf is a cashless establishment. A 5% wellness fee is added to all checks. We will absolutely be back!
