At some point in the past year or two there was a change to the service and we seem to get the same waitress every time we are there no matter when it is. Our host accidentally gave our table to a group who arrived after us but was very honest and apologetic about it, then offered us complimentary drinks. Truly nothing to worry about and we really appreciated the way it was handled. They also have blankets outside that you can borrow to stay warm while standing outside waiting for your table! We ordered the Farm Egg and Spicy San Marzano pizzas. The Spicy San Marzano came out first and we were pleasantly surprised. Loved the pizza here. Stopped by after a 5 mile hike with the dog, so I was able to sit on their outdoor dining setup. Their menu changes every so often so they may not have this anymore, but the pizza I got was the Farm egg, prosciutto, mushroom, mozzarella, salmoriglio. It was phenomenal! Very light and crisp crust, closer to a flatbread than your typical crust but it had good flavor and the pizza was very easy and satisfying to eat. Loved the fresh mushrooms and mozzarella. This is such a solid restaurant that no matter when you go or what you get; you'll always leave satisfied. I forgot to take a photo of their menu but their offerings change every few weeks. It's a good way to find out new items you like! We got the daily starter (which was a watermelon, tomato and cucumber salad), a braised brisket pizza and panna cotta as a dessert. All of that plus a glass of wine and coke for $64 dollars is a good value compared to other SF restaurants. We got there at around 8pm and their daily desserts were sold out so I highly suggest getting there a little earlier if you want to try out their full selection of offerings. This place came recommended by a friend, so we checked it out on our weekend in the city. I love places that routinely switch out the menu, so I was excited to try what they had this month. Overall the food was pretty tasty and unique! Unfortunately we did have to wait super long after we ordered to get our food--about 45 minutes--even though it wasn't even very busy. Great pizza spot tucked in the Richmond neighborhood! Came here on a Sunday around noon and was seated immediately. We got to sit at one of the high top tables next to the kitchen, which meant that occasionally, we could see the pizza dough being thrown in the air by the chef. Their menu changes from biweekly, so the pizzas you may be seeing on Yelp might not be the same as the ones they are currently serving. My partner and I decided to split a Farm Egg pizza, which came with bacon, collard greens, and gruyère cheese, and two farm eggs. The gruyère cheese... absolutely amazing flavor! The bacon also adds a nice touch and the farm egg yolk adds creaminess to the pizza. They also topped it with black pepper, which is always a sold combo with eggs. They now have a good amount of seating outside. I love this place because it is delicious and charmingly romantic all while being affordable. I love getting the daily starter, which is always delicious and fresh. They also have a surprisingly good selection of beers and wines, considering the establishment's tiny size. Service is usually a bit rushed since it's usually just one person running around, but they are always nice and I'ven't had any complaints yet. The chefs are right there, you can see them working. My friend, her doggie, and I walked to this spot for dinner while we were staying in the city during a weekend getaway. We waited for an hour and 45 minutes because she wanted to wait for one of the tables that was on the outside patio area. So that definitely was a long wait. It blown my mind with everything from the great chill relax vibe, to great nice and friendly service and the foods are simple but yet elevated to several unexpected levels. Our server recommended the farm egg pizza and I picked the pepperoni one. I was skeptical at first of the farm egg but surprisingly I like it more than my pepperoni (still fantastic but damn). Who knows that eggs pizza was that fantastic and so yum! The salad is simple but tasty and the dressing was marinated well without seeing it, just tasting. We finished it all without stopping. We just ate 4hrs prior so we're are still full (just want a good pizza before we flying the next day) but the pizzas and the salad was just somehow disappeared without us knowing that we ate them all. On top of these, we ordered the passion fruit panna cotta and yup, gone just gone within 2mins. Really want to order more but had to restrain or else we're unable to fit into our clothes. Small neighborhood restaurant serving some of the best things crust pizzas I've had. Every time I have come here it's been on a weekday late lunch so I have not had to wait long. There are a handful of tables inside and you can watch them making the pizzas in a small kitchen. I've always had great experiences. It's been around since 1999. Crust is light and crispy on the ends and nice and soft in the middle. Ingredients are fresh, good quality. Enjoyed the Spicy San Marzano pizza with wild arugula it was divine. The squash soup that we had was so delicious and light that we finished every single drop. The pink goddess salad I still am dreaming about since it was divine with the avocados, oranges it left me wanting more. It's been a minute since my last visit to Pizzetta, Whenever I'm in San Francisco and if time allows I love a meal here. It's cozy inside but there is plenty of patio seating available on clear days. The pizza menu offers there standing pizza and three that are seasonal, in addition to small starters such as warm olives, greens salad, and a cheese plate. On this visit on rainy day we successfully squeezed in four adults and a toddler at a four top, It was the perfect cozy meal and the service was excellent. We ordered a margherita, farm egg pizza, and another with mushrooms. We also ordered two green salads and enjoyed the flourless chocolate cake, the panacotta and the apple tarte. Everything was excellent. I love this place for the use of simple and good ingredients. Nothing is masked by rich sauces, it's just simple and flavorful. We got two glasses of white wine--good but don't like that they're served in regular glasses and not wine glasses (that's reserved for if you buy a bottle). We also got the potato soup special. A little bland but the goat cheese, pesto, and house made chips definitely amped it up. The near perfect pizza was the real star of the meal. Ingredients tasted fresh and high quality and we loved the thin, smoky crust. We ended with the flourless chocolate cake--also good, better with the whipped cream, but a little dry for my liking. We got there a few minutes before they opened at 11am (it was a weekday) and a short line formed soon thereafter. I think it would be busy on a weekend! pizzetta 211 is a very cute vibe and i enjoyed all of the food a lot! before i get into the review, i will say that the wait time between ordering and receiving our food was a little ridiculous (~45 minutes) and that's the only reason i'm not giving 5 stars. if the service was faster, i would have definitely given 5 stars. i'm not sure if the service is always that slow, but it may be something helpful to keep in mind. the server also did not apologize for the wait (not sure if they just didn't care or if it means the wait is typical) which is fine but was not the most accommodating/considerate in my opinion. now onto the food - the daily appetizers were both amazing and i wish there was more. both had so many yummy different ingredients but worked so well together. each bite was honestly phenomenal. the tomato cucumber feta was very refreshing, while the squash farro salad was a warm salad with lots of different textures and tastes. the pomegranate was an unexpected favorite aspect of the dish! the pizza was also delicious - the spicy sauce isn't too spicy so don't be worried about that. the marscapone and arugula are perfectly paired with the sauce and dough. there's a lot of sauce and the dough isn't too thick. i would definitely go back to try other pizzas! read more
