Italian Cobb salad, beautiful and tasty.
    Tom J.

I love Pizzicato! They are close to my office and we often go for lunch. The pizza special is always great, it's your choice of a slice and a salad. The salads are killer good: chopped Chinese salad with peanut dressing, pear and argula salad with candied walnuts, Caesar salad, yummmm.... I also love their club panini, which is like a super delicious version of a club sandwich, and also comes with a side salad. They've had an August and September special of an Italian Cobb salad, which is amazing. It looks like a work of art, with chicken, bacon, greens, chickpeas, parmesan and more. My friend got the special of the Fresca pizza and it also looked great. I'm semi-sensitive to gluten (haha, I know) and their gluten free pizza is also great, I especially love the Thai chicken pizza, a flavor bomb! The ambiance is casual and service is always excellent.

Hello All! Welcome back to Portland Pizza Taste Test! #6 is Pizzicato in the Pearl! Had a lovely chat with the worker! Ordered one cheese slice and one Puttanesca Verde slice which had: a Garlic Olive Oil Base, Castelvetrano Olives, Chevre, Roasted Tomatoes, Fennel, Roasted Garlic, Parmesan and Basil sat at a lovely low bar looking towards the street and they have their flavors as movie posters! and total came to $9 the cheese had great sauce/cheese/crust ratio and was thin crust, not too thin! very buttery flavor! the puttanesca verde slice was a little chewier with the dough and im not complaining! the toppings were SO refreshing! loved the roasted tomato chèvre combo! pricing was fair for big slices and great service! overall i am giving this one a solid 8/10

Unpleasantly surprised how far this pizza tastes from a margarita pizza. This should be called a tomato pizza.

Large Thai Chicken and Hot Honey
    Ploy N.

There freshly made whole pie is some of the best I've had in PDX. Crunchy and crusty base while still retaining some chewiness. The dough also delivered a lot of flavors which is one of the biggest sign of good fermentation to me. It was a bit of a wait for our large 1/2 and 1/2 pie of Thai Peanut and Hot Honey but I'll wait as long as I need to for something as delicious as the pie we got! The toppings were super fresh and plentiful. I think they strike a good balance of being artisanal and creative with their pies while giving their customer a good bang for their buck; what's not to love about that. Juicy chicken thigh pieces on the Thai Chicken. Lots of cured meats and veggies on the Hot Honey. And plenty of herbs on both giving them unique flavors. Already ready to try out their other combos. I'll definitely be frequenting this spot. Especially on a sunny day, you can order takeout from them and have a little picnic at the Fields Park next door.

It was pretty good we got it for a work meeting and I enjoyed it. I'm not sure what vegan cheese/sauce they use but there was something white and creamy that was tasty on the pizza that I enjoyed. It was a good easy vegan pizza no complaints.

Pizzacati is a solid place for slices. I like this location in the pearl. Next to the fields and tea bar, along the streetcar line and there always seems to have street parking. I like to work here and enjoy the free WiFi and a slice. Staff is super friendly and it's never very crowded

Extra large pizza and medium gluten free pizza

I really wanted to like this spot but there was one major issue for me. The flavor of the pizza was really good and promising but the texture just couldn't be overlooked. The crust was unfortunately soggy to the point that it was challenging to even pick up a slice. The reason I've rated 3 stars was that the gluten free pizza was actually quite good. I've tried many gluten free crusts and this one was pretty darn good comparatively. I recommend this place if you cannot eat gluten but assuming you are not gluten free it left a lot to be desired.

If you want something fast, This is the place. Pizza and salad. Pizza can be purchased by the slice or a whole pie. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They have pizza and salad lunch specials as well. Service was fast and the crust isn't thick.

I ordered the daily special "farmer's market" It had veggies & goat cheese. Absolutely delicious. Will stop here whenever I'm back in Portland

$8 Lunch Special: slice and salad

I happened upon this little jewel of a pizzaria while visiting the city for work. Immaculately clean!.. soft, pleasant music in the background; outdoor seating and a wonderful staff! I enjoyed their daily lunch special of a slice and salad ($8) !! There are several selections to choose from and I chose the arugula pear salad brimming with candied walnuts and just the perfect amount of dressing. I paired that with a putanesca slice which includes artichoke hearts, tomatoes, kalamata olives, garlic and feta cheese. The crust was thin and crispy and the topping fresh and vibrant.. (see photo). This place is a keeper!..

    Snow in PDX!
    Roger M.

All bundled up with tobogan hats, gloves and scarfs we walked in a rare PDX snow flurry over to Pizzacato located in the tallest high rise (Cosmopolitan) in the Pearl District. It is also between two great walking parks, Tanner Springs and Fields Neighborhood Park. Inside and outside seating along the "street-scenic" wooden boardwalk creates a convivial space for a meet up for pizza, brew and chit-chat. We enjoyed the space as well as the pizza. We made it just in time for happy hour (2-5 PM) to try the pizza slice special with a craft brew on tap--beer and slice for $6.95. It is a great value. But I am less impressed with value and more impressed with quality. The pizza is very good. Baked on a pizza stone. It passed my crunch test. Nice crust! Good crunch! Not overcooked! Not soggy! Generous tasty toppings! And a Boneyard IPA for us! Now for quality: Pizza dough is hand tossed fresh daily using dough supplied by Grain Craft Flour Mills, Pendleton, Oregon. They source local wheat and sustainable ingredients. The conglomerate of companies has roots back to 1910. Going on the web, they are committed to the environment by minimizing their environmental footprint and conserving natural resources. Grains are processed with recycling, local power efficiency, motion lights and wheat grower education. Grains are moved maximizing rail and truck capacity--I like companies that care--cuz I care too--so I take time to know where my food comes from and support companies who care and support local farmers. Good taste! Good value! Good quality! We'll be back before the next snow flurry!

This place is built for volume. You can tell. Efficient layout. Assembly-line potential. If bowls were a factory sport, this would be a playoff team. Ordered the Home Grown. Took a quick bathroom break. Came back and -- boom -- bowl was already on the counter. FAST. And it looked elite. Then I saw it. A generous dollop of peanut butter at the top, sprinkled with hemp seeds. I almost got emotional. It felt like flying over your hometown after months away. Familiar. Safe. Right. First bite? Delicious. Smooth. Creamy. Almost like frozen yogurt or soft serve. Easy eating. Crowd-pleasing texture. And then... I looked up. Another bowl was being made. The açaí base was coming out of a soft-serve machine. As a purist, this one hurt. I want hand-scooped. Blender-blade symphony. Crafted, not dispensed. I had a small internal crisis. But here's the problem: I really enjoyed it. So now I'm torn between my values and my taste buds. Would I go back? Yes. Would I wrestle internally again? Also yes. The majority of the sandwiches contain meat, so I would not recommend this for vegans or pescatarians. Jim was delicious and I consumed both halves of Jim flawlessly. Either hunger overruled me, or the sandwich was that satisfying. I do recommend the shop, but with limited options for non-meat eaters, I truthfully would rate Lottie and Zulas, 4.5. On a picture of the menu, I saw that there were quite a few items that were vegan. The description of the food sounded delicious! I instantly wanted to check this Turkish restaurant out! I also immediately thought of friends that lived in the neighborhood! I messaged my friends telling them I wanted to try this place out. Now, most of my friends have busy schedules, so it takes quite a while to coordinate. As luck would have it, 3 of us were available this very day! We arranged to meet at 1:15ish. While waiting for my friends, I got some complimentary Turkish tea, it was quite good. Then I put in an order for the appetizer sampler plate. The order arrived just as my friends did. They actually walked to the restaurant. The appetizer sampler consisted of Ezme, Tarator, Muhammara and Eggplant salad. Three of the four items were vegan the Tarator contained yogurt. My favorite was the Muhammara. My friends enjoyed the shared appetizer. It came with pita bread, and when the basket was emptied, we were asked if we wanted more. For my entree, I ordered the vegan Tantuni wrap with oyster mushrooms. The flavor was outstanding! My friends were both loving what they ordered. A friend also got the turnip juice. Said it was an interesting flavor, was not expecting that. The ambiance was casual but inviting. The service was quick and friendly. Food was delicious! I definitely plan on coming back again!

This spot first caught my eye because of the vibrant mural by Christa Grimm on the west wall, which was recently highlighted in a City Cast Portland newsletter. It is a wonderful visual landmark for anyone walking along NE 13th. Inside, the atmosphere is welcoming and the service is exceptionally attentive. I had a great conversation with the staff about the restaurant's growth since opening six months ago. While I usually view the city through a lens rather than a menu, the food was excellent and the space feels like a true community gem.
