My first time here, although I've tried most of the restaurants on this block. Ambiance: It's a cozy little place with a few tables downstairs and more seating in a back area upstairs. The high ceilings make it feel open and spacious. Service: The staff/owner was very friendly. He greeted us while we looked over the menu. He could tell we were first-timers and made some recommendations about their homemade specialties. Ordering is easy at the counter for dine-in or to-go. We paid and grabbed a seat. They brought the food out to us after about 10 minutes--nice and hot--on their cool metal plates. Food: We decided on the full-size pizza, which is a better value than a personal if you plan to share (8 slices, 1 lb of cheese). We did half combo and half pesto chicken. We loved both, but probably the combo more, thanks to the in-house sausage. It was around $40 + tax. Tip: Ask for ranch from the squeeze bottle if you like that.

Chicken Wing ( DRYYYYY AND NOT EDIBLE)

i'm very surprised they have a 4 star rating after the food that i had. The pizza...meh. The chicken wings...absolutely insanely dry and horrible. Like there was NO MEAT because of how dry it was, it taste like jerky but the bad ones. I was skeptical because of this high review but wow i was legit confused because it was that bad.... I had a crazy stomachache and felt horrible after.. :(

These mom n pops owned types of food spots are the hole in the wall must try's! I was in the area with a group of 6 and wanted pizza. I whooped out the map and checked pizza spots. I came to PJ's. The place is on a busy street with many other stores n restaurants. It was a bit narrow but was able to accommodate our party. The gentleman running the counter greeted us kindly and sat us and gave us any recommendations on food choices. We definitely were new to the place. We placed an order for large pizza half meat & combo and additional pepperoni for the kids. Come to find out the gentleman at the counter was the owner. He was very friendly and respectful person. He even accomodatted us by putting our request on the television. We also had a conversation on his business and it's root. Very interesting story! ‍ Regarding the food it was an "A"! There was not too much bread which I don't particularly like and there were generous portions of toppings. A lot of toppings and slightly crisp under the slice. Delicious! I am definitely going to try another pizza next time I am in the area. I recommend this place for great pizza not corporation pizza. Made with love and care.

Definitely 1 of the best meatball sandwiches I've ever had. Service 10/10 - Clean - Really chill spot. Highly recommended.

Empty plates because the food was too good. Sorry!

We popped in because of the delicious smells wafting out from the open store front. The interior is super clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. We got sandwiches which were super fresh and flavorful. Well with checking out!

They used to be called Velo City Pizza, but we came in and they told us they're changing their name into PJ's so here we are! The owners are really kind and hospitable. They love their business and they surely love the customers. They explained to us their best sellers and how they made their own ricotta recipe for the lamb pizza. It's a small restaurant nearby our house, so they don't have a lot of seats available but it's cozy and comfortable place to visit. They sell a bunch of gelato on sticks and I would say that tastes a little old.. but their pizza are very tasty and we'll be back again for them!

Our family loves having pizza here at this family business. So, when we got together with extended family, we took a kit of dough, sauce, and cheese all made by PJ's! (Super easy to just call the day before) We had a lot of fun making our own pizzas. The quality of ingredients helped with our lack of experience :)

Wow! Thank you, Phil! Excellent slow-cooked overnight oven-roasted tomato sauce, so rich and mild, no tangy burn like everyone else's sauce. Excellent homemade chicken fennel sausage, too! Fast service, great price - beer & 16" half-n-half for $50. I'll be back - check out the cozy loft dining, nice & warm on a cold winter night.

I ordered a large pizza around lunchtime. The owner said the pizza would be ready in 20 mins. When I arrived there were no customers in the store. Unfortunately he had totally forgot to pass the order to the employees to make the pizza. I had to wait another 15 minutes for the pizza to be made as staff made it painfully slow. The shop itself has a nice ambiance with seating upstairs also. The pizza was very average and had very little red sauce. I usually will eat a good amount when eating pizza. However, I only ate two smaller slices and the taste didn't really satisfy my pizza craving. I would say taste was a solid 2.75. The large pizza was $38 before tax (pretty pricey) and the touch screen was extremely sensitive and I accidentally selected the incorrect tip amount.

Amazing thin crust gourmet pizza. Beer and wine. 3 delicious meat toppings homemade and also gluten free crust and vegan cheese are options.

What we ordered: Prosciutto Di Parma Arugula Pizza (+ burrata) = 100000/10 FOOD: 9/10 Served hot, fresh, and made to order, this pizza truly hit the spot. The crust had those delicious wood-fired charred bits and was the perfect thickness, not too thin, not too thick. The burrata (worth the extra charge!) was rich and creamy, while the arugula added the perfect fresh, crunchy bite. Every ingredient worked so well together. I'm literally salivating as I type this! Paired with some good wine? Chef's kiss! SERVICE: 9/10 Every staff member we interacted with struck the perfect balance of being friendly and laid-back. We sat at the bar, where the bartender also served as our waiter. He was personable, kept up a great conversation, and was attentive without ever making us feel rushed, all while mixing drinks and taking care of other guests. AMBIANCE: 9/10 Spacious, clean, and incredibly inviting. I loved the relaxed atmosphere and all the train station-inspired decor throughout the restaurant. The large windows let in so much natural light that it's an even better place to sit back and enjoy a meal. I'd happily come back the next time I'm in the area.

I was excited to learn they partner with The Butcher's Son for vegan mozzarella and meats. I've been a big fan of The Butcher's Son food for a while, and I love their mozzarella sticks, even though I usually don't like vegan cheese. I went with a medium 1/2 and 1/2 pizza: Vegan Meatzza and Vegan Buffalo Chicken. I also tried the Vegan Cannoli. The pizza was hot and ready when I arrived, and they sealed it with a 100% vegan sticker, which I thought was a nice touch. I really enjoyed both flavors! It's tough to pick a favorite between the two, but the pepperoni on the meatzza was delicious, and the buffalo and ranch combo on the buffalo chicken was tasty. Surprisingly, my favorite was the cannoli. Even though I usually prefer savory over sweet, the cannoli was amazing. I loved every bite, though I think adding chocolate chips to the filling would have made it even better. Overall, it was a 10 out of 10 experience! I can't wait to try other vegan pizza combos.
