    Salmon + veggies

Plan B is a gem of a restaurant in an unexpected spot in Sacramento. The ambiance of the restaurant is absolutely stunning with dimmed lighting and a modern cabin look. Our server Mark was knowledge of the menu, so kind, and funny. He had impeccable service with a smile. Lastly, the food was delicious. After I mentioned how much I loved veggies, they let us do double veggies instead of mashed potatoes. The salmon and veggies featured is a half portion as I split it with my date. I don't eat a ton and this was the perfect portion for me. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience.

Plan B is a hidden gem in Arden. I have been dining here for about 6-7 years. Excellent food and friendliest service in an intimate setting.

Loudness: 93 decibels (the same as being 50' away from a jack hammer). 6:45 Saturday night reservation. All tables and bar stools full. I made the reservation on OpenTable and explained that my dining companion wears hearing aids, so we require a booth instead of being at a table in the middle of the room. Our request was honored, and we had a cozy booth. The meal for two came to $270 (with tip). We ordered a bottle of champagne, an appetizer of escargot, entree of quail stuffed with foie gras and New York steak. For dessert we shared a pear tarte. Every bite was delicious and servings were beautifully plated. Service was good - our server guided us through the menu and was attentive at all of the right times.

Cozy medium sized French place with good service. Great place to sip wine enjoy a leisurely dinner and unwind. The menu is not huge but it is well executed. I enjoyed the French Onion soup and their award winning burger. We also had a escargot to share. Our food was delicious and fresh. My only complaint would be more sauce for the burger and perhaps something to dip the fries in. At $11 for soup and $20 for the burger probably not your everyday spot but definitely a every now and then one.

It was good, service was great. I didn't love the French onion soup but everyone else loved their food. It was very noisy. We would go back for the food but not if you plan on having any meaningful conversation.

Went here for our anniversary dinner and really enjoyed it! Our waiter was very knowledgable of the menu and also made an amazing espresso martini. We went the minute it opened so it wasn't too loud and we did not have to wait too long for food. It is very small inside so I would recommend making a reservation to avoiding waiting. The only thing I wasn't too fond of how much sauce there was on the steak but next time i would just ask for it on the side. It was a bit pricey for the portion sizes but I would definitely go here again.

Went here for that first time last night. Who knew this little gem was hiding in the back? Kind of dark, and moody. We had reservations for my friend's birthday. Staff were great, we enjoyed drinks and the calamari and escargot to start- both were very good. We had the Chilean sea bass, lamb, mussels, and Caesar salad, we all enjoyed our dishes. Highly recommend trying this restaurant!

The food was superb. We had salmon, prawns and vegetarian arrabbiata. Most served with asparagus and mashed potatoes, very artfully arranged. Sorry I didn't get photos of those, but I did of the desserts. They were awesome--a very nice selection to choose from. One of my companions said he'd never had a bad meal here. Nice selection of wines, too, of course, and very attentive service.

This place makes you feel at home and like you're amongst family. Great wine selection and the food is always phenomenal. The ambience is pleasant, despite always being busy (with good reason). The owner and staff are always welcoming and make sure you are happy with your experience.

As for the food, it was a bit of a mixed experience. The salad was fairly basic and didn't leave much of an impression. However, the salmon was the standout of the evening--perfectly cooked, tender, and paired beautifully with the capers, which added just the right amount of flavor to the dish. The dessert was a bit underwhelming and didn't quite end the meal on a high note. On a future visit, I would likely opt for a different dessert. Even so, the inviting atmosphere and well-executed entrée make this a place I'd consider returning to. Overall, its great setting for a romantic evening, with a few menu items shining brighter than others.

However, when we arrived, the restaurant was surprisingly empty, and we anticipated a quiet, relaxed evening. We started with the half oysters and salmon tartare, and for our entrées, I had the lamb chops while my boyfriend ordered the duck confit. For drinks, he had sweet iced tea and I had Tito's with soda. The food was excellent--flavorful, well-prepared, and generously portioned. That said, I'm giving three stars primarily due to the service and ambiance. Our server (whose name I unfortunately forgot) was very friendly but not attentive, especially considering how slow the restaurant was. He didn't check on us after delivering our meals, and my boyfriend had to request a refill on his iced tea. Additionally, the bartender was loudly sharing what sounded like personal stories with another guest, to the point where it disrupted the atmosphere. We could barely hear ourselves talk. When dining out--especially for a special occasion--we were hoping for a more peaceful environment where we could enjoy a quiet conversation. While the décor is elegant and inviting, the overall experience didn't quite match the setting. I would return for the food alone, but I hope improvements are made in service and ambiance. Also, given how slow the evening was, the food took longer than expected to come out.

Melissa has been before and really enjoyed her experience. This was my first time going, and I too had a lovely time here. The inside ambiance is giving Southern Sun Porch/ Patio or French courtyard, which I guess has a lot of overlap. The staff was welcoming and attentive. It wasn't too crowded (7P on a Tuesday), so the hostess less me pick our table. I had the KC Kombucha. I love this kombucha so much. I'm missing her since I'm not living in Sacramento anymore. Apparently she's not doing cans anymore, so I hope they're able to get a keg, but I honestly don't know if that's the clientele they're catering towards. Focaccia is usually a must get for me, and this was no different. I loved the dried rosemary sprigs. They just elevate focaccia so much. Not that focaccia needs elevating because it is good on its own. The butter was nothing special, but I am glad that the focaccia was served with butter not olive oil. We started with the oysters. I think east coast oysters are better than west coast oysters. That is a potentially hot take as someone from the west coast, but I can acknowledge a weakness of my coast when it arises, as rare as it may be. Another thing I miss about the East Coast as it relates to oysters are the dollar oysters. Unlike @Caroline and @Sarah, I cannot afford 75 oysters. I liked that the mignonette was already on the oysters. They were solid oysters IMO. The caesar salad was really nice. It had a really delightful dressing that was really anchovy forward, aka an authentic caesar. I wasn't expecting it to hit the spot as much as it did. The lettuce was crispy (excellent), but I wish they used a little more the the whiter lettuce. Personal preference though. Normally Pasta Pomodoro isn't super alluring to me, but this day, a big bowl of pasta was calling my name, so I obliged. I was very impressed with the flavor and depth of the sauce. It was super garlic-y and had a bit of a kick to it. I loved all the basil flavoring. I also appreciate the pieces of tomato and the large portion size. Melissa had the Corn ravioli with a brown butter sauce. It was good, but I'm glad I got my pomodoro. If Melissa hadn't ordered the ravioli, then I would have because it definitely sounds unique and quite delicious. I love brown butter though, so I am easily entertained. For dessert, we had the stone fruit cobbler. The fruit was delicious. They were definitely a little underripe, but this prevented the fruit from being mushy/ lacking texture. Our server even split the dessert for us when we told him we were splitting which was so kind. Overall, we had a lovely experience at The WaterBoy, and I would recommend/ eat here again.

Our server, Lindsay, was friendly and full of suggestions when we told her this was our maiden voyage at Camden. We began our meal with the six sausage rolls. I've seen other reviews complaining that the mustard was too spicy. I would disagree. There is clearly some horseradish in it, but for us that provided a lovely kick. The rolls themselves were outstanding. We paired them with a Pimm's Cup and Dew of the Sun. This was followed by their very tasty Simple Salad. Don't let the name fool you, the flavors are anything but simple! The hubster ordered the Steak Frites which was cooked to perfection and I was delighted by their Pressed Grilled Cheese. Sprinkle of salt would have lifted the dish - coffee: good but served 15 minutes after dessert and warm, not hot That leads me to the reason for 3 stars vs 4 for the food. Service while friendly was suprisingly off. Long pause between oysters and entrees when surrounding tables which ordered after we did received food first. Would guess they missed our order and then rushed fish and chips out. Bigger issue was with receipt of dessert with no sign of coffee. Had to ask again 10 minutes later and took another 5 minutes to arrive and arrived warm vs. hot. The goal was for a leisurely lunch but not almost 2 hours worth. Good food offset by disappointing service for upscale restaurant.
