Came in for happy hour, and so glad we did! Everyone was very friendly and accommodating, from our server to the chef who personally brought out some of our food. They have a great drink selection on happy hour, including a $4 beer that was perfectly refreshing for a hot day. And the food was delicious. My friend and I each got one of the michelada oysters, as well as their special pizza (the one with goat cheese, peach, and balsamic). Both were so flavorful and delicious, we were stoked! It was a fresh take on classic items, with unique flavor profiles. I absolutely loved those 2 items and will definitely order these same things again (and hopefully try more of their menu). The interior is still great, for those who remember it when it was Pushkin. They have a nice big patio. I will definitely be back to enjoy my food and drink outdoors as well! read more

Recently stopped by Range in Midtown! My partner and I arrived at 8pm on a weekday, and honestly, we felt pretty uncomfortable because staff told us their kitchen closed at 8pm, but they'd make an exception for us as long as we ordered fast. Range is open until 9pm, so I was caught off guard, but fortunately I saw the menu ahead of time and knew what I wanted to order. We ordered the elk pops and jalapeño popper pizza. The elk pops were made to order and came out medium rare, as requested. These bites were good, but smaller than what I expected for the $32 price point. It felt more like an appetizer than an entree. The jalapeño popper pizza was creative and on point. Overall, our experience was okay, but service could've been better. I'd consider coming back for happy hour since I'm curious about the michelada style oysters, but don't want to feel rushed out. read more

Range took over the previous location of Pushkins. Range has its home location in Roseville, but I've never tried it. As far as the layout and decor, nothing's changed just a new restaurant name. Last night we came in for dinner and was super excited to find live music on the patio, my favorite pairing. Our server Drew was nice and checked in on us from time to time. His recommendations from the app list were good: the Brussels and Bruschetta were both on point. The menu is a good selection of American cuisine and there are a few items I would like to try like the cowboy burger or jalapeno pizza. One down fall sitting on the patio is the amount of flies and bugs. This was same issue when it was Pushkins. Not sure if they can light some candles and or spray some anti-fly substances along the patio but that was the only main complaint I would have about this location. read more

The ambience was very good. We took pizza , garlic fries . Very kid friendly restaurant. The staff was very hospitable. They offered colouring pictures and crayons to engage kids. The staff were very friendly and the food was served pretty quickly. It was a little hot inside the restaurant, which is expected in Sacramento summer, but I would've enjoyed my experience more if I wasn't sweating while inside the building. Maybe I sat myself too close to the kitchen? The steak and frite were yummy. The range burger was also yummy good, but I wish the sauce they used was thicker because it did make my buns kind of soggy. Luckily, I like soggy burgers but not everyone is a fan of that. Space was quiet and wasn't busy the night we came in. We enjoyed similar dishes and both tasted great. Both of our chicken were cooked perfectly and we really loved the carrots and potatoes paired together. The carrots were super tender and soft. Mac and cheese could have more flavor but was still good. We ordered lemonades that I believe had thyme in them and that was a nice refreshing twist. The bruschetta was different because it had. A creamy spread on the crostini along with the usual toppings. This was a very elevated bruschetta. The Brussels tasted good but they were soggy, I prefer crispy Brussels in my opinion. Drinks were good, highly recommend the old fashion. Service was good nice and friendly. I am so far behind seems like a year and 15 cities since I was in Sacramento eating at the Range. Invited a friend and they suggested we try this new place. Range, great location, parking was crazy, the restaurant had a great interior dining room as well as a cool patio. We stayed t down and Drew approaches the table with a smile and energy. Of course we grilled him on what's best recommendations. He was great going through the menu. We had an appetizer to kick it off and a couple of craft beers. I ordered the elk medallions and my friend ordered one of their burgers. On the menu in one of the meat descriptions said CAB, I asked Drew what does this mean, and he stated the meat comes from a local ranch, I followed up and he asked Amber the manager to come by and so we asked her where is this ranch located and she grinned with a chuckle and said it's not a ranch but stands for Certified Angus Beef, the table and the room erupt in laughter and added to the great evening we had at Range. Brussel sprout appetizer was great the burger was great and m elk pops cooked to perfection had one slight problem, they were over seasoned. Amber picks up on this right away and absolutely insists that she cook another plate. I agreed and in the meantime she brings out a plate of their sliders to munch on while we wait. Second set of Elk pops arrive and again cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. Drew and Amber made it a night to remember with great food, great ambiance, and plenty of laughter. So when you go be sure to ask for the steak from the CAB ranches and ask where they are located. Their iced cold craft brews were very tasty, the dessert was very tasty and provided a great presentation. Oh and we scored some hats from the grand opening ing in gave mine to our uber driver and told him to wear it and talk up Range. Hi me and the wife went for Happy Hour by accident. We should have left before enduring what we had to endure. We sat at the bar. Apparently they are short staffed. The bartender was nice but had no idea how to make any drinks and they were horrible. We ordered the wing those were the best part of the visit. Those were excellent. I get they may of had staffing issues but you have to do better. The restaurant is big and set up nice. Unfortunately the impression they left on us was not good. Burger was nasty (cowboy burger, you could taste the funk of brussel sprouts on the bacon and there was some leftover brussel on my bacon strips). Bun was soggy, burger wasnt seasoned well, just a rare bad burger. Beer didn't taste great either, like the glass was soapy. Service was fine, but the food and drink was a no go. Great Sacramento gem!! Highly recommend this spot. The menu is solid and has a variety of options. Ambience is cute and clean, and the service is great! The food is hella good!! You have to get the artichoke dip - so much flavor and they give you a good amount of pita bread. A dozen oysters with a michelada flair; fresh salmon over wild rice with a beurre blanc; pizza with peaches, prosciutto and goat cheese! Kids got the most savory Mac&Cheese, and pizza that tasted homemade! Hold on wait, let me tell you about this Lavender Crème Brûlée holy smokes- floral and creamy!
