The staff were very friendly and attentive. There is a huge boat skeleton in the area that we sat and I thought it was pretty cool. came here early as our toddler sleeps at 7pm but in doing so, we are able to catch their happy hour. I had the golden beets, oysters and fish tacos. All were yummy. We did order a kids salmon meal (not pictured) and our son liked the salmon. The other items were too hard / sugary for a 14 month old - gummies and raw carrots. Would be nice if they served the kids meal with cooked soft carrots and rice. :)

Came here to celebrate a birthday! Made reservations for a large party. Upon entry, we were seated immediately. Our server was friendly and helpful with good follow through. Place is open, bright with ocean decor. We started with the raw oysters and hush puppies. Then we ordered fish tacos, fish and chips, steak and a burger. Everything was good. Not sure why the hush puppies came with sweet and sour duck sauce but it worked. Overall, it was good eats in the Domain!

This was my first time eating at Plank Provisions. We went on a Friday night with reservations for four. It was a good thing we did because the place was packed, the wait was about 45 minutes for anyone without a reservation. We arrived on time and were seated on the patio right away, which was a great start. The patio has a nice atmosphere and felt lively without being overwhelming. Our waiter was very attentive and did a great job keeping our drinks flowing. The table really enjoyed the cocktails, especially the cucumber collins and the sea foam margarita. For appetizers we shared the wonton tuna tacos and fried calamari, and both were tasty. For my main, I ordered the lobster bisque and it had a unique flavor that I really liked. My dinner companions ordered the baja fish tacos, Faroe Island salmon, and the redfish. We all enjoyed the night from start to finish. I would say this is a great midrange seafood restaurant, and if grading within that category I would give it 5 stars. If comparing it to places like Truluck's or Eddie V's Prime Seafood, I'd probably bring that down to about 3.5 stars. Bottom line: good waiter, good drinks, and good food.

Had the best happy hour experience at Plank! We stopped by during their daily happy hour (every day 3-6 PM- such a great deal!) and were blown away by everything we tried. We started with the ahi tuna wonton that was crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, followed by the fresh ceviche and the beet salad, all of which were delicious and felt so fresh. The seafood really shines here. The cocktails were equally impressive- creative, refreshing, and expertly mixed. Great for sipping while you enjoy the coastal-inspired vibes of the space. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere is perfect for catching up with friends or unwinding after work. Highly recommend for happy hour or a casual dinner, we'll definitely be back to sample more off their menu!

Let's start with parking. It's all free and there's parking in the street or you can choose the pink garage just a short walk away. I knew I was coming here the day before with a group of 12 people which gave me plenty of time to scan through over 100 of the most current reviews. Plenty of folks raving about their experience here, but we all like to know where they fall short as well. Most of the yelpers here enjoy this place, but there are instances where service lacks, especially at the bar and either the food is too bland or salty. The crab cakes are small for the money, the oysters don't appear to be local and one reviewer compared it to an overpriced Red Lobster. Since this is a group setting, I should point out that they do have a room at the back which has a maximum occupancy of 19. They even put together a personalized menu for our group. The apps were good, the biniet style hush puppies paired with bacon jam were the best as were the brussell sprouts. The main course choices were mixed. The flat iron steaks were unevenly cooked, raw at one end well done at the other. The side of fries were boring in desperate need of ketchup. The salmon was cooked perfectly and flakey ( best not to order steak at a seafood restaurant). Our desserts came out a lot later than expected, and they were prepacked to go. Overall, the service was slow paced which we expected and the food for the most part was good and a step above Red Lobster. It's a place I'd come back to try again. 8 informative photos included.

We were up from San Antonio and decided to give this Domain eatery a try. We were absolutely thrilled! Our server, Esmeralda (Esme), was friendly, knowledgeable, and engaged without being intrusive. Great recommendations! The food was amazing...my flat iron steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The salmon was flaky and flavorful. The oysters were fresh and delicious... briny goodness. I highly recommend. Cheers!

WHAT IN THE WORLD??! Plank has been on my must-try list ever since I saw the signage being put up. If I could eat seafood for every meal, I absolutely would! I wasn't sure what to expect--maybe something closer to a seafood boil--but after finally stopping by and giving it a try, I was even more delighted than expected!! My partner & I sampled a variety of sushi and shareables, and NOT A SINGLE DISH MISSED. What to order / tried & true: * Maryland-Style Crab Dip - delicious, so creamy, loved the fresh sourdough included!!!! * Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice Cakes - flavors, A+ * Yellowtail Sashimi - SO FRESH & tastefully cut/made * Yellowtail Serrano Roll - NO NOTES, refreshing * Sake Ceviche Maki I'm definitely coming back for their happy hour from 3-6 p.m. as they offer $1.50 East Coast oysters!!!

Popped in for a drink and light bite. The bar was full, well single seats between peeps so no 2 seats together. So got sat at a high top in the bar area. Stratton our person was great. Got an old fashion and espresso martini along with the Brussel sprouts. Drinks came out quickly and the Brussel sprouts took a long time. It was their happy hour - Costal Hour - time so it was busy with peeps ordering the $1 oysters. If I ate raw oysters this would be a deal! Restrooms were nice and clean. Overall enjoyed the time and I'd like to go back to try other items on the menu.

I really enjoyed my experience at this wonderful restaurant located in the Domain. Very clean restaurant with wonderful staff. Every so often a server would come by and check on my guest and I. I ordered the California roll sushi. Of course it was delicious. I'm a bit new to sushi so I'm glad I ordered something I would want to keep coming back to order. My friend had the redfish which I had a bite of and ooweee! The flavor was on point. I am considering ordering that my next time around. Again great food great staff and nice location. I will definitely be returning!

The thing to get is definitely the seafood. I went for happy hour and it was such a deal. $1.50 oysters and the majority of there raw menu on happy hour. The Crudo was fantastic. The crispy rice with ahi tuna was a little underwhelming. A lot of rice but good for sharing. I would recommend skipping that one. I went at 5pm on a Friday and it was pretty quiet at the bar area. The dining room and patio FILLED quickly though - so don't rely on walking in. Lots of groups. I had the Strawberry Surfer and that was lovely. Service was pretty good at the bar but they were quick. Bathrooms were very mid.

Austin definitely isn't a seafood destination, but this place did right by this east-coaster! We had a late dinner and patrons were pretty sparse when we came in. The decor is actually really nice. They have a huge boat frame hanging from the ceiling. I talked about it with the waiter and it may actually be foam, despite it looking just like wood. The crab dip was excellent. It's such a small detail, but I love those they sliced the lemons. It's so smart and you'll know what I mean when you go. I ordered the grilled salmon. It's so easy to overcook salmon, but it was about as perfect as you can cook it-- moist and flaky. The mushroom risotto was perfect. We also had just got married and they gave us some champagne to celebrate, so that was super nice as well. We'll be coming back for sure.

Yum! The curry clam chowder is a must! Nice sized chunks of potatoes, lots of clams and bacon....with the most delicious, lightly curried broth/chowder. I had the blackened catfish which was cooked to perfection! My hubby had the beet salad and added salmon and it was also cooked perfectly. If you're shopping at the domain it's a must or even if you live in Austin. Great food and our server Gladys was awesome!!!

Ask the Community - Plank Provisions

What time does the Lunch Menu end? and do they do the Lunch Menu 7 Days a week?

    Vegan or glutton free?

Don't know about vegan (except that the vegans they serve are delicious), but Plank does have a gluten free menu, and there are several good options. (We had a GF member in our party the other day.)

Good for a romantic dinner? How is the lighting?

A little loud but excellent service so i say yes.

From the moment we sat down, the service set a phenomenal tone for the meal. Our server, Avery, genuinely took the time to ask what we were interested in, thoughtfully guiding us through the menu with recommendations that were, frankly, unbelievable. Every single suggestion was spot-on. As for the food, every dish that arrived at the table was a masterpiece: The Brunch Plate: A beautifully classic, elevated breakfast. The sunny-side-up eggs were cooked to absolute perfection, seasoned with a light touch of pepper and spice. Paired with perfectly golden, crispy hash browns, savory sausage, thick-cut toast, and a rich fruit compote, it was a flawless, hearty start to the day. The Beet & Citrus Salad: A vibrant, refreshing standout. The earthy depth of roasted red and golden beets paired wonderfully with bright, juicy citrus segments, creamy crumbled cheese, and fresh greens. It was beautifully balanced, incredibly fresh, and a perfect contrast of textures. The Pesto Pasta: Absolutely spectacular. The pasta shape held onto the rich, flavorful pesto sauce perfectly, which was tossed with fresh spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, and tender chicken, all finished with a generous dusting of parmesan. It was savory, comforting, and packed with bright, fresh flavor. Between the flawless, attentive service and the phenomenal quality of the kitchen, they made this Father's Day incredibly memorable. We will absolutely be back!

Vida Verde Kitchen -- A Hidden Gem That's Worth Finding…read more Austin is overflowing with trendy restaurants where the food is decent, the lighting is aggressive, and the wait time requires a light snack and a personality shift. I tend to avoid those places. Vida Verde Kitchen, thankfully, is not that. Tucked into a great area but slightly hidden (the kind of spot you feel proud to "discover"), Vida Verde feels like a restaurant that exists for people who actually want to eat, not just post. The menu is a thoughtful fusion of Tex-Mex, fresh flavors, and Americana--familiar enough to be comforting, but creative enough to keep things interesting. Yes, it's a bit overpriced, but the food earns its confidence. The guacamole is an absolute must, and anything leaning Tex-Mex is consistently solid. I can vouch. The wait staff deserves real credit here--knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely invested in the food and experience, which goes a long way these days. The atmosphere hits that Austin sweet spot: industrial touches softened by lush green foliage. It's stylish without trying too hard, which is rare and appreciated. If I had one note? This place needs a happy hour and a few more solid specials. Do that, and Vida Verde becomes dangerous--in the best way. Overall: a unique, thoughtful restaurant that avoids the hype trap and delivers where it matters. Definitely worth your time (and thankfully, not hours of it).

We were seated in the back and were given a chance to order drinks immediately. Sadly, the service after that point was unusually slow for our table. The rest of the people around us were getting served appetizers and their meals before our waitress even came back to take our order. The prices are a little higher than the best Mexican spots in Austin, so I'm glad that I wasn't paying for this meal. Once we were given a chance to order, I grabbed their Quesabirria tacos with rice and beans. The tacos were great. Super crispy and the meat was flavorful. The consomé was excellent to dip the tacos in. The beans were pretty good and the rice was decent Mexican rice, though not exceptional. I would maybe give it another chance if I was nearby, but after having to wait so long to order, I'm a little deterred from coming back, even if I thought the food was pretty good. But, you definitely pay a premium because it's marketed toward health-conscious individuals with a lot of organic ingredients, allergen-friendly, options, etc. That may or may not be worth it for you but the food is tasty! FAST FACTS: * Parking - plenty of free lots and garages within walking distance around the Domain * Reservations - available online through OpenTable * Online ordering - pick up, curbside, and delivery available online through their website * Indoor and outdoor seating options * Nutrition and allergen information available online on their website * Seasonal offerings PRICING - The total was $64.30 after tax ($4.90) but before tip for a small butternut squash soup ($4.00), spaghetti squash casserole ($16.50), spicy panang curry bowl ($18.95) with added shrimp ($7.95), side of air-fried French fries ($6.00), and side of honey roasted carrots ($6.00) . I think the pricing is a little high but the portion sizes are generous and the food quality is good. SERVICE - We visited around 8:45 pm on a Saturday night and they weren't busy so we were seated right away. We were given the choice of indoor or outdoor seating. Our server, Alan, took our order quickly and food came out at a nice pace. No complaints! ROASTED BUTTERNUT SQUASH SOUP (7/10) - This was a seasonal offering. I thought it had good flavor overall. You can remove the sage garnish if you aren't a fan. I'd order this again if I was in the mood for soup but it isn't a must-try. SPICY PANANG CURRY BOWL (8/10) - You have to pay extra if you want to add a protein (chicken, steak, shrimp, salmon, or tofu) so it gets quite experience quickly but it is a massive portion! It cost $7.95 to add shrimp but you get a ton! There's definitely enough for leftovers. The Thai shellfish curry broth is packed with flavor and you get a generous amount of the veggies... the rice and sweet potato especially make it very filling. I'd order this again! SPAGHETTI SQUASH CASSEROLE (10/10) - I know it isn't for everyone but as someone who tracks macros, I LOVE ordering this dish because it's a massive portion size and fills me up! You can add protein to it if you want to bulk it up even more but I am usually satisfied the way it comes. The tomato sauce is flavorful, the texture of the spaghetti squash is spot-on, and there's a generous amount of melted cheese on top. I'd order this again! TRUE CRISP'D AIR-FRIED FRENCH FRIES (5/10) - We ordered these mostly to see how the air fried texture was... they were fine but nothing too special. I think $6 for a side of French fries is expensive. I wouldn't order these again HONEY ROASTED CARROTS (6/10) - Flavor and texture? Both great... the caramelized honey pairs perfectly with the natural sweetness of the carrot and they were soft without being mushy. I just think $6 for the amount of carrots you get is expensive. I wouldn't order these again. True Food Kitchen is one of those places where you pay a premium for the quality of ingredients (a lot of organic) but it might be worth it for you if you are health-conscious. It is expensive but the portion sizes for the entree live up to the cost while the sides may be worth skipping.

I placed my order in the morning because I had a busy workday full of meetings and calls, and I wanted to have lunch handled in advance. Unfortunately, I later received a voicemail letting me know that items needed for my order were unavailable. At that point, I had to take time out of my schedule to call back, ask what was actually available, and choose another option. I ultimately ended up with my third choice rather than what I originally wanted. The bigger issue is that this should have been handled before customers were able to place orders. If certain ingredients or menu items are out of stock, that information should be updated in the app as early as possible so customers are not ordering items that cannot be prepared. It also creates problems for delivery drivers, who may arrive expecting an order to be ready only to find that there is confusion or a delay. Because the delivery app also made it difficult for me to cancel the order and take my business elsewhere, I felt stuck dealing with the inconvenience rather than being able to make a quick decision. I understand that inventory issues happen, but restaurants working with third-party delivery platforms need to make sure their menus, timing, and communication are accurate and up to date. Overall, I still appreciate the positive dining experiences I've had here in the past, but this to-go experience showed a real need for better coordination between the restaurant and delivery apps. Customers ordering ahead are often doing so because they have limited time, and the process should feel seamless, not stressful.
