Sweet & Sour Pork and jajang myeon
    Tiffany H.

Mandarin House is located inside the koreatown plaza mall. The service was excellent. We were seated immediately and our waitress was very attentive. She took our order down quickly and we received our food in 10 minutes. We ordered the sweet & sour pork and the jajang myeon. My favorite has to be the sweet and sour pork! You dip the fried pork into the sweet and sour sauce and it's just so yummy! The pork had a good ratio of meat to batter. Would highly recommend! The jajang myeon was also decent, on the less saltier side but still good! The restaurant has a good amount of space and seating and they also validate parking. Would come back!

This is a must try establishment located in a mall! I am from Houston, Texas and was recommended to try this place out. Let me start off by saying I was not disappointed at all. The customer service was great and courteous. I've had a lot of Korean food before, and I noticed each establishment makes them differently. I am okay with knowing that, and I think the dishes I had were great in taste, portion size, and texture. The kimchi may have been a bit spicy for me that day though as someone who doesn't handle spiciness well Overall, I had a great experience there and left with a smile and a full tummy. The cozy and casual ambiance makes it all the better and welcoming. Do try when you're in the area! I'll come back the next time I come to California.

Went to try this place with my family. We used to go to the one off Vermont and 8th as a kid but it since closed a few years ago. Found this place and it did not disappoint! The food was so fresh and delicious! I highly recommend this place! It was easy to find it's right when you walk into the strip mall on the right side. (Not in the food court) everyone there was so friendly!

My coworkers and I stopped by for lunch. the restaurant wasn't too busy at peak lunchtime, so we were seated right away. The food did take some time to come out, though. The seafood Jajangmyun was a little blander than we expected, lacking some of the familiar flavors. My friend's Mapo Tofu was tasty--perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice. It was a shareable portion for $22. Overall, the restaurant's okay, I'd recommend getting something else than the jajangmyun. The sweet and sour pork at the table next to us looked good.

The food was great! Nicely sized servings, very flavourful, and overall delicious! The service was wonderfull, all of the staff were incredibly polite. The corners of the place do have a bit of clutter and all of the tables are rather close, but everything's clean. Would definitely go again!

I'd probably give this place closer to 3.5 stars. For a group of 6 on New Year's day, the wait was about 20 minutes. We ordered the sweet and sour pork - which you dip into this broth? It was really good, definitely one of my favorite dishes. Pretty sure this is one of their most popular dishes as well. We also ordered the pan fried meat dumplings which were HUGE and so so crispy. These were SO GOOD. I'd come back here just for this. We also got the black bean noodle which is the reason this review is only 3 stars. I was pretty disappointed by this, especially since I think this place is known for this dish. The sauce tasted kind of watery and flavorless. Instead of getting this, I'd recommend the seafood soup, which was filled with much more flavor and was a delicious broth. I only had a sip of this out of my friend's bowl but this tasted better than the black bean noodle. Not sure if I'd come back here especially with the food court right around the corner which had so many other options but I'm glad I tried it out.

There are a number of reasons why the Culver City location was so much better, but perhaps the main drawback at this LA location is the fact that the former had a real sense of ambiance, and uniqueness, particularly when it came to its cozy little cafe section. Now the "cafe" is pretty much just a space within a space. Another real draw to the Culver City location was the fact that they actually had a separate section where "Guest Chefs" could come in and teach entire classes via cooking classes that sometimes you have to sign up for in advance, and other times you could just kind of walk in on it. That was dope! And while the staff was friendly enough, and again ( don't get me wrong it's still a place that I will be back to to purchase much needed product), it's just an unfortunate reality that sometimes no....you can't duplicate the past.

It is a thoroughly stocked Italian food market with truffles, fresh pastas, desserts, and delicious food for here or to-go. I've had delicious meatballs to-go, as well as one of the finest espressos, enjoyed on the premises. I've returned to get fresh pastas and jarred truffles and have been tempted by the desserts. So much to choose from here - with a wide range of prices, too. You could easily find provisions for your pantry, as well as for stocking up specifically to host a party. Spaccio Salumeria has been in business for some time now, and they radiate a well-earned confidence matched by pleasant, low pressure customer service. When I was younger, you could actually see the chickens in the back (everything was blocked from view, but you'd hear the machines). Now everything is closed off, but the chicken still tastes fresh and the quality seems the same. My mom swears it's the best chicken you can get. Product Quality & Variety I mostly buy the chicken, but they sell other meats and products too. I've seen duck eggs, regular eggs, and different cuts of meat. Even though I haven't tried their beef, everything looks fresh. Prices can be a little on the higher side, but the quality makes up for it. Food Service Service is always quick and straightforward. You tell them what you want, they get it fast, and you're out. There's usually only one or two people ahead of me, and only during holidays does it really get packed. They accept Apple Pay, cash, and EBT, which is super convenient. Hours & Convenience The only downside is the early closing hours usually around 5 p.m., and Sundays/Mondays even earlier at 1:30 p.m. Also, parking is rough. It's hard to find a spot, so we usually go in pairs: one person gets down, the other loops around the block. Ambiance It's a small, traditional Hispanic-style meat and poultry market.
