    Beef Egg Foo Young
    Drake M.

Was craving some Lo Mein and stopped by this place. I never been here, so a grabbed a menu and stepped to the side. I then realized the paper menu prices were outdated. All of the correct prices are posted on the counter. They have space for eating in. I ordered the beef lo mein and beef egg foo young and I also purchased some hot chili oil. Even though they were busy, I received my food promptly. Went home and the food was still plenty warm. The lo mein was good with mushrooms, carrots, bean sprouts, cabbage and green onions. The meat was tender and the portion, like their name was plenty for 2 meals. The egg foo young came with white rice and was my favorite. Fluffy patties with a good brown sauce (gravy). When I try a restaurant for the first time, I don't like to add any request because I want to taste it like it's normally prepared. My request next time would be more green onions.

Sweet and Sour Chicken Dinner Special

Ordered the fried shrimp and sweet sour chicken with extra chicken. Everything was greasy and fried to where the chicken and shrimp were hard as a rock. I tossed it all in the garbage. Won't be spending my money at this restaurant in the future. Do better!

I've order from Plenty through GrubHub and it is fantastic! Honestly, the portion for the price is amazing and the sesame chicken is delicious. I also really liked the crab Rangoon. Highly suggest checking them out. Update: I found out they have a parking lot. I might have to go in one day to pick up!

Lunch special of sesame chicken, white rice and an egg roll.

Food was just ok. It arrived very punctually (I did delivery) and was still very hot. There was just a funny after taste to the sesame chicken I ordered. The egg roll that came in the lunch special was soggy, but the separate side order of egg rolls was crispier. Just didn't care for the flavor of the egg rolls. I will say the portion size was very large. One lunch special could have fed 2-3 people in my opinion. So a good value for the price.

The sweet and sour chicken was extremely over cooked. The batter was hard you could beat it on a table and would not break. The batter to meat ratio was 20:1. The chicken was literally a thin, short piece of dry meat inside of the batter. I could not even eat the chicken. I also had the shrimp fried rice which was good. This is now the 2nd occurrence of this meal in this manner.

Update owner will not give a partial refund offered Yo bring all the food in - do not order from here much better in the. Area sorry I gave them a shot. worst food I have ever had- fried shrimp was double fried, rubbery chewed and only middle piece edible. Shrimp egg foo young was rubber and gross. Bbq pork smelled old - none of this was eaten. 35 bucks down the drain-

Okay so my first and last time ordering from that restaurant... !!! I ordered door dash and i got : Orange chicken -tasted so sour and super soggy not even a little crispy, also was 30% meat 70% soggy batter!!!! Beef and string beans - the beans were good but the beef thick and chewy!!And literally 4 pcs of beef ! Veggie rice- was the best thing from my order ( thanks God so at least i had some dinner)!!!!! Pot stickers -very weird filling some meat looked like raw and i had only one peas in mine so i just threw it away. So gross but the dipping sauce was so far the worst sauce I've ever tasted!!!!! Super flat flavor of both Chicken and veg- OMG that was the top of the grossness it was slimy and super thick sauce didn't tasted much thick weird chicken and a couple veggies around! Worst meal in a very long time !!!! Definitely don't recommend that business at all because for me that was the worst Chinese food I've ever had (and I thought that was Panda Express but that is even worse)!!!!!!!!!!!!! Next time I will check the reviews first obviously consistently the food and service suck! Also i took 2 hours to get my order and i live in Jefferson park!!!!! Don't waste your money , skip that restaurant!!!!! Shame for the restaurant business! That is clearly stealing money from the people!!!!!

    Eggrolls
    Sarah S.

Plenty is not very expensive and the portions are well sized. Plus if you order $20, you get 2 free eggrolls or 2 free crab rangoon - woot woot! So all the food is slightly above decent but I wouldn't go all the way to saying it's great. I've tried their eggrolls, crab rangoon, lemon chicken and orange chicken and enjoyed them all. Ordering Chinese is tough around me because it's either get it way cheap at somewhere akin to Plenty or cough up the extra funds and have truly delicious Chinese. Whenever I decide to go with the former, Plenty fits my bill just fine. They always have good service, fast delivery and have always got my order right! :)

My favorite beef fried rice in the city! Dark and flavorful but not greasy/oily like some other Chinese food places make their fried rice.

I bring everyone i know here at some point. Only negative thing to say is that i no longer feel anything about anywhere else that I eat. Im okay with that though, because in my opinion this is how you run a restaurant. They are always full, but it is always worth the wait!

Sunday Funday with a fantastic first visit to a Chinatown gem!…read more I felt like Chinese food today, and rather than eating at my neighborhood regular, I wanted to go straight to Chinatown for the most delicious, authentic experience. Thanks to my deep dive and discovery on Yelp, MCCB turned out to be the perfect spot to achieve this. The restaurant has held its Michelin status for five years now, and for my first time visiting, the flavors here were incredible. Please note: the restaurant signage is not easily visible from the street since the storefront faces inward toward the mall plaza, and while looking for it, I ended up asking a local man and his wife for directions. He was so kind and welcoming that he unexpectedly left his wife on the sidewalk, my husband in the car, and walked me right across the street and into the mall to point it out from the inside! WAIT TIME: there is a 1 to 1.25 hour wait period to be seated for a table, and a $10 fee via credit card is required to secure your spot, which is then fully transferable to your bill upon checkout. The wait is a great time to walk, explore the shops, restaurants, all Chinatown has to offer, and get your steps and miles in! SERVICE: our first server, Allen, was a bit on the stiff, curt side, but overall nice. However, we had to move from a two-top table to a four-top to accommodate all the dishes we were trying. In that changeover, we were blessed to get one of the BEST servers there, Ashley, who made the experience wonderful. FOOD: we ordered an absolute feast, starting with three starters. The Cheng Du Style Dumplings were fantastic. The Crispy Crab Rangoons were actually not mini at all and had a great crunch. The Szechuan Style Cucumber was a bit underwhelming and a slight bit on the soft side for my tastes, as I prefer my veggies crunchy even when cooked. We ordered everything with the mild heat option so there was no overwhelming spice, just great flavor. For the main dishes, we started with the Cauliflower Flank Steak and added broccoli to it, which was a fantastic addition. It is cooked in an oyster sauce and has none of the standard sweeter seasonings of the other dishes. I chose this to balance a sweet and salty rationing across my dishes, finding that MCCB is a great place to get that perfect balance. The Chicken in Spicy Garlic Sauce was perfect with the mild heat option as well, and the Honey Black Pepper Flank Steak was also incredibly savory, tender, and good. We paired everything with garlic string beans, white rice, and a great jumbo shrimp fried rice. I preferred water, while my husband had a few Diet Cokes. The food comes out hot, fresh, and bursting with flavor. PARKING: parking is convenient--there is street parking or you can use the two north and south lots within walking distance. The north lot is on Archer and Wentworth, and the south lot is on Cermak and Wentworth. Validated parking is permitted for a maximum of 3 hours, and you will only pay $3 with the validation. Just make sure to stay within that time limit and get it validated, because if you go over the 3 hours or forget the validation, you will have to pay the full price for the lot. PRICE: the pricing here is very reasonable for a Michelin-recognized restaurant. Our dinner came out to just under $146 total, which offers phenomenal value given the large portions and top-tier quality. If you are seeking high-quality, delicious Sichuan food in Chinatown that completely lives up to its multi-year Michelin status, and can be customized perfectly to your spice comfort, this is a great place to go. Highly recommend and will return with family!

We ordered like the PERFECT amount of food and best variety. Roast duck: I honestly don't know if I've ever had duck before, but I'm a duck believer now. The skin on theirs was the perfect crispy shatter texture and the duck was sooooo juicy! I don't know why I was always so worried about it being gamey. They give you fluffy steamed bao buns, a sauce, and scallions on the side as well as duck fried rice! Turnip cake: Obviously a must any time I come to dim sum. I've never seen turnip in any other form than this. Japanese salt & pepper tofu: My FAVORITE dish ever. Any fried salt & pepper tofu always makes me happy. They use a creamy egg-like tofu and the outside is lightly crispy with amazing aromatics stir fried in. Steamed white rice on the side is perfect with this. Loved everything else my dinner buds picked and we were super full by the end! Service was good and food came out fast and scorching hot! ***Parking in the area is treacherous (not the restaurants fault, but reconsider driving if possible bc cell signal can be zero to none around the garages if you get lucky) ***Their website allows you to request a reservation as long as it's 3 hours before your desired time. A couple callouts on the mapo tofu, why does it not come with rice? Also the white rice we did have to buy as a side comes in a small bowl, making it difficult to scoop. The other mention is the overwhelming amount of peppercorn, taking away from the flavor and instead numbing the mouth. The green beans were not worth it and the chocolate sesame dessert was really disappointing to share. I don't recall much vanilla soft serve or chocolate shaved ice, if at all. The sesame flavor was really distracting away from the chocolate chunks and wasn't good overall. The service was weird with us not getting our rice right away with the green beans.
