The most amazing service person I have ever had in my home. I called one morning (a Saturday of course) and was told that someone would be out within the hour. About an hour later Reyes showed up. He was friendly and knowledgable and listened to all of my insane questions and comments and treated me with great respect. Reyes fixed two sinks and snaked my main line but while that sounds pretty normal, it was complicated. There was a weird smell in the house which ended up being a broken cap on the main line, but Reyes checked all under the house, and every sink and toilet and shower. He gave helpful hints about when to run water and how much to not have the smell, and how to make sure to keep our drains clean. After checking all through the house, Reyes had to go get the main line camera. After he left I received a call from the owner to let me know it would be an extra hour or so and he wanted to let me know and check to see if that was ok. It definitely was as I had to run errands anyway. Reyes came back and it was raining while he had to work outside on the main line. He did it all with a smile. On the repairs, one sink was easy, the next sink was crazy and had pipes that were crunched in and needed to be pulled out and changed. Also, I don't wear shoes in my house and they kind of collect by the door. I don't ask other people to take their shoes off but Reyes walked in, saw that, and immediately took off his shoes. I told him not to worry, but he did it every time, even when we had to walk in and out the back door. I highly recommend Plumbing Boys. read more

Recommended by my neighbors, who were blown away by their service, I contacted Tony at Plumbing Boys regarding my vintage upstairs toilet which has been on the fritz for months. My regular plumbers, who shall remain nameless, claimed that with all the issues involved I would do better to chuck the unit altogether and replace it with a brand new toilet. So glad I got a second opinion and even happier that it came from Rick, the genial and highly knowledgeable technician from Plumbing Boys. We have used Plumbing Boys over the past couple years for a clogged sink, broken pipe in the garage and, most recently, a water heater issue. Every time I call they are very prompt at getting someone out (immediately in one case). There prices are reasonable (and cheaper than expected in one case). The dispatcher (Tony, I believe) is very responsive on the phone and via text. I went on yelp to find a plumber for my mother's very old bathroom. Her shower was leaking ..bad. So I found Plumbing Boys on Yelp with only perfect five star reviews. Tony, the owner quoted me $300. for the job of fixing the shower head leak, and the tub to shower mechanism. He sent his guys over as discussed and they had to spend some time trying to find the parts (these are old pipes from the 60s!) So they left for a long while and came back to finish the job. I couldn't believe it but they actually would not take any money for the job! That's right ..since they couldn't find all the parts, and they couldn't completely guarantee it, they decided NOT to charge ... ZERO. I was stunned. Who does that? What can I say that hasn't already been said. These guys are extremely professional, I am in the process of purchasing a house so my Home Inspector referred us to the Plumbing Boys to do a Camera inspection of our sewer line to the street. Called them in the afternoon and they were able to send someone over within an hour! When the technician arrived he took off his boots as a courtesy to not get dirt on our floors. After that we explained the issue and within a half second he had a solution! The best part? It didn't include tearing open any walls, haha! But seriously, the solution was actually just to run some water for 10 seconds every week or so in all of our unused sinks and bathtubs. Not only was the technician extremely knowledgeable, he was honest -something I greatly appreciate and something that has earned our future business without a doubt. He didn't even charge us for the service call stating, "It's my job to educate the customer so that they know what to do. You could have easily had some other company in here that would've charged you $800+ and all they would have done is run the water for 10 seconds." Reliable, professional, honest and quick service. We are so happy we came across Tony, disaster was upon us as our home was flooded with sewer crap. Old homes have their charm and certainly come with huge $$$ problems. Our house pipes were orig. 1930 metal, all cracked and leaking. Tony did the job in two days and spared us the headache of having to be without water for a long period of time and spared us from water damage and possible termite problems due to the leaks. He certainly knows his trade well and has a great team. We did find his price to be very fair and in-line with other plumbers. He is pleasant to deal with and doesn't try to up-sell his services. I have just recently learned that some Plumbing Companies have their Plumbers work on a Commission Basis. The Plumbers who work for those particular companies will try to up sell you for Services that are not even required,and will then find ways,other than the standard tried and true ways to increase your money expenditure. Thankfully my woman's intuition told me to drop that particular plumbing company,and toot sweet. I then reviewed Angie's List,and Yelp again and decided to call up "Plumbing Boys" after researching yet again for an ethical Plumber on 5/27/2015. Believe me,I do read all the reviews people leave,and thank you everyone for taking the time to leave them. I spoke directly with Tony,the Owner, and I explained to him the total dilemma I was in. He had tried to see if any of his crew was available to assist me that late afternoon,unfortunately not. He asked me to call him early the next morning, and he told me he would definitely remedy my plumbing disaster that day. He also would call,and text me updates of his arrival time. I find this to be very considerate of him. Tony came with another Excellent Plumber whose name is Sam. He went step by step to look for the solution starting by looking at the commode,shower,and sink first. First,I found out I would need a new intake valve part for my toilet. He then checked out my "Clean Out" under my sink,and he decided it would need the largest snake to be utilized there,and his equipment was way to large to fit into my bedroom space. Second step,he decided to utilize the Roof Vent for access,and Hydrojet down it with 4,000 PSI's of water to remove the blockage. Unfortunately,there was a T Curve Pipe present,and he could not have access to the main line that way. Third step,Tony knew he needed to find a way to utilize the "Clean Out" under the sink for access somehow. He then cleverly jerry rigged two huge PVC Pipes together to enable the huge snake to run in from the outside through those pipes via my bathroom window to the "Clean Catch" under my bathroom sink. That blockage I had in my Main Sewer was a very challenging project,and Tony and Sam were determined to work through it irregardless. Trust me,this was not the easy way to do this by any means of the imagination. Tony was already planning a Step Four in case he could not break through the blockage this route. The next step would have been to utilize the "Common Areas" pool toilet to Hydrojet through the blockage,as my unit shares a closet wall with that bathroom. Thankfully, for all of us we did not need to do that. Tony and Sam very successfully cleared all of the blockage through my bathroom sink's "Clean Out" with a lot of work, and patience. I feel very blessed to have had such Excellent,and Ethical Plumbers to help me solve the huge dilemma I was in. It was truly a nightmare situation having both my toilet and shower backed up for several days already. I was placed in very good,and safe hands now. I have found myself some top notch people,who happen to be more than Excellent Plumbers too. Thank you Tony, and Sam for your expertise,honesty,strategizing skills,and great sense of humor. At the onset of everyone being sequestered at home for a TBD amount of time, we had a clogged kitchen sink and we called up Plumbing Boys to come and check it out. Josh came within 30 minutes of the call, at my door keeping outside of the 6' recommended distance armed with a quick explanation that his voice was scratchy not because he was sick and that he was totally fine. Hopefully, he's forgiven me for the complete look of horror when he shook hands with my husband, but can't be too careful, and everyone washed their hands when everything was done. Josh was so professional, so courteous, so honest, and so knowledgeable about what the potential problem was, rolled his sleeves up and got in there to fix it. We then asked him to also check out slow-leaking sinks in the master and he expertly diagnosed and fixed it. He was in and out in less than half an hour. We needed a new hot water heater and our drains where always slow. So we called a couple of other plumbers, but either got no response or they were too busy to come give us an estimate. So we looked on Yelp and came across this company. We called and they came out within a hour to check it out. Wow! What great service is that. Tony took a look and said that we definitely needed a new water heater and gave us the price. We knew that it was going to be high, but that is the price for owning your own home. Then he unclogged all of our drains and was out in less than an hour. Tony and his assistant Michael came back the next morning with a new water heater and installed it with no problems. So grateful. IT JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER. I just called Tony because my kitchen faucet was spraying and getting me soaked every time. Turns out our home doesn't have a pressure regulator and the faucet was the cheapest money could buy. Tony recommended a great brand and fixed both issues the next day and took an hour less than I anticipated. And thank goodness he came when he did because the lack of pressure regulation was causing a water leak we hadn't even noticed yet but, YUP, there it was behind all of our cleaning supplies. NOW THIS IS WHERE IT GETS GOOD. I was mentioning to them that I was hiring a handyman to do some small baby-proofing and maintenance tasks but they were charging a lot. Tony, AFTER doing the job I hired him for, did the baby proofing installation and maintenance for me at no extra charge! They just don't make them like this anymore. I could not be happier with Plumbing Boys! I'm not exaggerating when I say this is the best plumber experience I've had since I've lived in LA. Yesterday (Friday) morning, we awoke to find no hot water. The plumber we'd used in the past was not answering the phone, so in our emergency state, I did a quick search on Yelp to find a new plumber. The reviews here on Plumbing Boys sold me instantly. Thank you to everyone for leaving such great feedback! You are *ALL* correct, except those who gave them anything less than 5 stars. Tony answered the phone and assured me that he'd be at my house within the hour. Sure enough, he was here before the end of that hour with one other guy, to assess our hot water heater. It was definitely past its expiration date, leaking, and dying a slow death. He was honest with us about what the options were (replace with a tank or tankless heater) and how much those would cost. Using this as the excuse we needed to finally upgrade to that tankless water heater we've always wanted, he quoted us a price. Done. Sold. He said he would order the unit and return tomorrow (Saturday) to install and upgrade the gas lines under the house. He called me later last night to let me know what time he and the crew would arrive. Sure enough, they arrived at exactly the time they quoted (8:30am) and took approximately 4 1/2 hours to complete the job. Every single guy on the crew was polite, helpful, and professional. They didn't trample my plants (the unit is on the outside of the house) or destroy my yard while working. They didn't disrupt my life, and only rang the doorbell when they needed my opinion or approval. Tony even took a few minutes to check out the toilet in the kids' bathroom that's been giving us trouble lately. Not once did I feel like Tony was upselling me or piling on unnecessary costs. He was honest and forthright, and did everything he could to stick to that estimate he gave me the day before. It's important to note that he did not put that estimate in writing, so he had no real reason to stick to it. He is a true man of his word and I could not be more impressed. In the end our bill did not cost a penny over that original, spoken estimate sealed with just a handshake. At one point, Tony showed me a problem with the electrical leading to the new unit, and asked if I'd like a recommendation for an electrician to complete the job. Yes please! And thank you. Just before the job was finished, Tony needed to leave, but informed me who was now in charge of the job, who would handle the contract and how the clean up would proceed. After he left, it was time to turn on the water and check the flow through the house. Everything worked great except the kitchen sink. Two guys took a look at it, with no luck, so they called Tony. I just expected that he would give them advice over the phone, but no. He actually CAME BACK to fix it himself. He returned within 15 minutes of the phone call, opened up my kitchen fixture and removed sediment and calcium. Took him all of 5 minutes to do, he probably could have just given instructions over the phone, but no. He came personally to see the job through to the end. It would have been easy for Tony and Plumbing Boys to tell me they couldn't do the job until Monday, leaving us with 3 days of no hot water, but they did not. Tony pulled guys off of other jobs to staff my order. Amazing. I will absolutely 100% call Plumbing Boys in the future, without hesitation. He gave us a quote but did a pretty thorough investigation first and let us know that the problem was actually just our faucet. He cleaned the lines which improved our water pressure immensely! Truly the best. We found 2 HUGE water leak spots above one of our bedrooms around 3 am. We called 2 plumbing companies that had 24 hour call service for estimates. I am an avid yelp user, but I truly have never before felt compelled to write a review. My experience with the Plumbing Boys has been absolutely exceptional, to such a degree that I felt as though I needed to share my gratitude for Tony, Danny and Gary. I will start this review by saying that if you are looking for someone who is trustworthy, honest, reasonable, and one who keeps his word - Tony is exactly the guy you are looking for. I was doing a complete renovation and re-pipe of a four unit apartment building and my plumbing contractor decides to change his number, leave the state and take my up-front deposit with him. Regardless of the lost deposit, I was in an even bigger bind because I now had to convince a plumber to take on the potential risk and liability of finishing someone else's permitted work. After interviewing several plumbers, Tony gave me his word that he would give me a firm quote and work with me to get the job across the finish line. As goes with any estimate, it's very difficult to tell the complete scope of work until you begin the work, but the effort and time required by Tony was far beyond our initial expectations after dealing with a very unreasonable inspector. Nevertheless, Tony kept his word and helped in any way he could - even on several items he definitely was not explicitly responsible for in the contract. I said it before and I will say it again - working with the Plumbing Boys is truly a pleasure and if you choose to work with them, I promise that you will not regret it. While Plumbing Boys came to the rescue quickly, making a late afternoon appointment only an hour and a half after our call, I'm not happy with their respect for my home. I had a clogged toilet backing up into other areas. Immediately I was thrown when one of the solutions offered was to remove my toilet. They ended up snaking the drain after altogether removing my p-trap portion of the drain. In the process, and the issue that I have most, they made a crime scene of my bathroom, getting the gunk from the drains all over the bathroom floor and untiled walls. Literally I found them letting the snake flop all over the floor and walls of my bathroom. I have a very sensitive cement tile floor that easily stains. While they made an initial effort to wipe the floor and crap from the walls, the initial general disregard has me deep cleaning the floors and washing the wall to remove it all. What came out of the drain didn't seem like enough to cause my problem so I'm honestly concerned they didn't snake far enough. We'll see if it holds. One of their guys did most of the work while the other went back and forth to the truck and ended up laying on the floor and pounding something like a drum against the floor since he was bored. It cost me $200 for their service which took about an hour. Too bad Mike Diamond wasn't available for a few days otherwise this would have cost $99. read more
