So....I've been to both location and the food is wonderful. The atmosphere is ruined by too many wait staff standing and staring from the hostess stand. There is no attention paid towards seating at either location, as when the restraunt only has two tables filled they consistantly seat directly next to one another. Going on an adult night out, looking to graze and drink wine, families with young children are sat directly next when the rest of restaurant is empty. Why? We even asked to move so our adult conversation was not overheard by children and as soon as we moved, another family we seated directly next to us. The experience could be improved by not being rushed to eat, drink, and leave. Waitress brought check before we were done dining and stopped checking on us all together until we were out of water and drinks completely and flagged her down. We ordered more drinks and she brought the check back to the table. Upon paying we saw here leaving quickly...clearly our night out was delaying hers! Please hire someone with common sense to teach these young waitress about the dining experience and the worth of each customer's experience. read more

Delicious, economical, fast, friendly with prompt service. What more could you ask? I experienced delightful wait staff who brought me made-to-order (food allergies) fatoush and hummous dishes within 10 minutes. It was incredibly good, more than enough for two, and all under $12. I have visited also in the past with a group of six friends. Everyone ordered something different, we all shared and it was great. We left pledging to get together there again soon. I don't understand the expectations of those who wrote bad reviews. In summary - good value, big yum! Go try it! read more

I have been a long time customer of Byblos and Poco Piatti used to be a good alternative. It has gone so downhill I will never be back. The fatoush salad is nothing like it used to be - it is so tasteless now. The corn tortillas for the mediterranean tacos were totally stale. The service was horrible and the place was dirty and the bathroom had several lights out and the trash was over flowing. I am so sad to see it go bad. I definitely won't be back!!!! read more

The food was good as usual, our complaint is we were a party of five and did not realize they automatically added gratuity for a table of five or more. Everyone just automatically added the tip to the bill when they paid. So our server received 18% automatically with the bill, and then another 15 to 25% with the payment. When one of the people in my group noticed the automatic Tip on her bill, we asked the server about it; she said 'yes, I know it is strange that they do it with such a small group". But she never offered to reimburse anyone what they had already given her additionally. At least two of our group, were soured enough on that experience, that they will never return. We have been patrons since it was located on Monroe Street, this is new to us, the automatic tip. read more

We have been coming here for years and have always enjoyed the food but something has changed. My wife and I ordered hummus,grape leaves and fatoosh. When the hummus came I questioned the appearance and was assured it was hummus. After tasting it I asked again because it had a sweet unfamiliar taste. Same result. The grape leaves were falling apart and swimming in liquid. The fatoosh was fine. Needless to say we won't be back. read more

Poco Piatti in Perrysburg is one of my favorite restaurants in the Toledo area. I have yet to have a bad experience of any kind. The hospitality has always been warm and friendly, and the food is spectacular. The concept of small appetizer sized plates allows everyone to experience the many tantalizing plates that Poco Piatti has to offer. The sangria is best! Along with many tasty martinis and specialty draft beers, makes this a highly recommended dining treat. read more

I don't understand why the ratings are as they are, myself and my family came in the night of March 11th and the service we received was great. The sangria that he recommended was some of the best that we have ever had, and all of the dishes that we had were superb. As far as the other servers, they brought out food for our table as well, even though t hey were not our server. I asked our server why they did that and he simply said "that's how we are here, we are just a team and we help each other out." What a concept!!! My families experience here was great, the staff made it fun and the food and drinks were great. I will visit again and bring even more people next time. read more

Poco Piatti is one of the best Middle Eastern restaurants in the area. Their eclectic menu and upscale vibe make this a great place for a girls night out, date night or even dinner with the family. I would not recomend this place! Having worked in the hospitality business before there were a few things restaurant owners should be aware of. The wait staff were running around fully stressed, our server seemingly had a section far too much for any server to handle efficiently, the food was ok I fear the kitchen was just as stressed, no sighting of a manager I don't know if this place just doesn't have one or they were hiding some where!! This place is getting WORSE and WORSE!!!! Either shape up or ship out Poco! This USED to be our go to place because we love Mediterranean. But for the past year the food has gotten really bad. When they changed their menu we noticed the real issues occurred. First, their portion sizes got SMALLER and their prices got LARGER. They took their Baba off their menu, that was before they changed the menu, but how can you have a Mediterranean restaurant and take the Baba off of the menu? They have their old standards on the menu, but they are adding new things to them or are changing them in different ways, but are not indicating that in any way ON the menu. So you aren't informed of this change until they bring your meal or your tapas out. So if you are used to getting things you ordered previously or have dietary restrictions you better get used to asking a lot of questions. And the wait staff doesn't know ANYTHING. Our waitress didn't know the difference between a breaded/deep friend onion and a sauteed onion... so good luck! And speaking of the wait staff, they are some of the slowest wait staff we have ever had to deal with! When we went, which was on a weekend, there were only 5 other tables with people at them besides ours. So needless to say... they were pretty dead for dinner on a weekend. And still our waitress took forever to wait on us and it wasn't even like she was the only waitress there. I guess it should tell you something when there are only 6 tables of people in the entire restaurant for dinner on a weekend that something is up and that people aren't going there for a reason. Another thing was the condition of the restrooms when we went. The women's restrooms looked like it hadn't been cleaned that day and there was no soap in the dispenser... at all. And when I say no soap I mean dry as a desert, didn't look like there had been any soap in there in days! When I told the hostess... who was texting on her iPhone when I went to talk to her... she seemed surprised. Which surprised me, and disgusted me because I had to wonder if any of these women in the restaurant had just not been washing their hands that NONE OF THEM had noticed that there was NO soap in the restroom. The men that I went to dinner with said the the men's restroom was even worse. Their restroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned for days and if that's what the bathroom looked like, they wondered what the kitchen looked like. They also said that the soap or paper towel dispenser was held on the wall with duct tape! You would think with as much as we are paying for the food there they could afford a few screws to make the bathrooms a little more presentable! Needless to say, after all of the times we have been there, we will NEVER be going back. This last time was the last straw! read more

As a frequent customer of the Beirut I figured, why not try Poco Piatti for lunch. sadly, everything about the experience was a disappointment. The iced tea was brewed in the coffee pot, so a mix of coffee and tea. This made only getting one refill a bit easier to take. My Mother ordered salad for her side which came promptly. From here the meal went downhill.. slowly. The waitress several times stopped by to explain that there have been several mix-ups in the kitchen, people weren't getting what they ordered. After a half hour someone brought my rice side dish and there it sat. would have liked to have eaten it with my main dish. about 15 minutes later a medium beef kabob sandwich appears. I ordered just a beef kabob, well done. The waitress argues that I got what pointed to on the menu. Don't recall pointing but ok. I ate what I was given, hunger won out. My Mother received a chicken kabob sandwich just short of the one hour mark on the meal. She had ordered just a chicken kabob and isn't a fan of garlic sauce so she asked to be given a to-go container. The waitress again argues that we were given what we pointed to but noted that as a consolation prize our iced tea was free. gee thanks, but don't expect a return visit. Please know that I am not too picky of a diner, and can be very forgiving, but this was just a very sad meal! For being in such a beautiful shopping center and for the reputation and personal experiences at The Beirut and Byblos I thought this would have been a great dinner...nope! We ordered the Shrimp Saganaki, the Stuffed Mushrooms, Caprese Insalata, and the Beef Tips with Vegetables in Beirut Sauce. The Insalata: tomatoes were SO not ripe, the basil OLD. Shrimp Saganaki: tail & shell still on, there were only 4 small shrimp, the sauce (garlic, olive oil, lemon, tomatoes, feta) was good. Stuffed Mushrooms: were supposed to have salami in them...not taste of it whatsoever! The best part was the cheese on top. Chefs need to taste, then season! The Beef Tips: smelled good and were just OK at best. The side dishes we ordered were the STEAMED vegetables and the Greek potatoes. Potatoes were just diced pots with oregano. The STEAMED veg was all broccoli (it was fresh, not frozen, but seemed OLD) and it may have been steamed but it tasted it was steamed in salt water or with fish...NASTY! Sent it back for the rice. Rice a tad better, but undercooked...REALLY!!! The best part of the meal was the fresh little pita and butter -wrapped butter pats! We also had to wait for a few minutes for someone to come to the hostess stand, while 2 employees chatted at the bar in front of us...so not a great first impression! So glad we had a gift certificate for this meal. We will not be going back. We will however continue to visit the ever- fabulous Beirut and Byblos! From reading the Poco site, it seems that perhaps the father of the owner needs to give his son a few pointers! read more

I tried to have lunch today at Poco Piatti at Levis Commons. There were 5 of us from the office. We were seated right away, waited a considerable amount of time and then finally were able to place our orders. We ordered a few appetizers (This was a good move as they became my lunch) and the meal off of the lunch menu, no drinks other than a few diet Pepsi's and water. The appetizers came out in stages as well as everyones meals, except mine. The waitress kept going in the back (Jennifer) and didn't seem to come out to often. She did walk by as she was delivering another table and said your meal would be right out. 15 minutes afterwards the cook brought my lunch out but at that time everyone had finished their lunch and was ready to go. I asked that they take it back, that we were ready to go. They did remove my meal from the bill and not only did they NEVER apologize but made sure they automatically placed the 18% gratuity on the bill. I questioned Jennifer why they did that and she said all parties with 5 or more get charged the 18% gratuity automatically. Way over an hour for lunch with a missing meal, no apology and an automatic gratuity. By the way the bill for lunch without my meal, no drinks was $87.14 ticket no. 0125677 in all fairness we did have a few appetizers. I won't be going back. read more

I agree with reviewer Maria A about this place having an identity crisis. Driving by the restaurant I saw tapas listed on the glass windows and thought to try it out; however, once I got inside, I felt immediately uncomfortable with the faux-spanish decor and the white gauze hanging from the ceiling. I sat down and immediately saw dirty plates on the side of the table and had to pick my way through five to find one somewhat clean. The service was incredibly slow from start to finish. I ordered a three plates from their lunch menu, choosing between baba ganoush, chicken wraps, and a stuffed cabbage roll. My friend had hummus and tabouli. The hummus tasted awful. It was musty flavored. The stuffed cabbage roll had cinnamon inside (it was an odd flavor combination), and the baba ganoush tasted bland. Even the bread had an odd texture/flavor. The only item that tasted okay from what I could eat were the chicken wraps. I did not see any Spanish items on the menu. I would not recommend this place to eat. read more
