Pods has continually refused to meet delivery dates. Since my PCS to Washington we have been waiting in a empty house for our shipment to arrive. They were first supposed to deliver on June 7th, which we confirmed 2 days prior. They never called the night before to notify of shipment, never contacted the day of and my wife had to reach out only to find out they canceled on us. Then they rescheduled for June 10th delivery, shifted from the morning timeframe to afternoon timeframe, and as expected missed the delivery. The explination was broken equipment stopped delivery. What's infuriating is that not once did anyone bother to notify us of this which leads me to belive it's a flat out lie. They claim they'll get it to us tomorrow because the equipment will magically be fixed for sure, and I cannot and will not believe it considering the incompetence that has been displayed thus far. Being that im inprocessing to my unit, and my wife is starting her jobs soon we do not have the luxury of time. Considing this experience i cannot recommend pods as a moving company, especially to military service members and will be doing everything in my power to ensure no other soldiers at JBLM get screwed over the way we did. This is horrible customer service. I got storage from my home insurance when we was fixing the kitchen. When the dropped off the storage in front of my house, the guy told me that call them to remove when we done. So, we called them and asked to remove because of we don't need storage anymore, i thought they may just ask address or something. I don't know, so I got the phone number said Pods... stick on storage and called them. I told them but they asked me an account, I don't know because everything from my home insurance. Instead of explaining that I should call my home insurance and tell them to call to move the storage, the person yelled at me. Do Not Use Pods. They rope you in to get you as a customer by not giving you all the information. Then they tell you they can't deliver in the timeframe they gave and that they will charge you to get them delivered to the new house plus storage fees because they can't deliver for weeks. We were also not informed they only deliver to our area on Tuesday and Thursday so now we need to take a day off from our brand new jobs to be there. Spoke to multiple people in the company and their solution was to "just come take our stuff out of the pods now". We are doing a state to state move so this is of course not doable. So be ready to pay triple the estimated quote and triple the weeks for drop off. read more

Pods is a terrible terrible company! I cannot say this enough. Stay away! When first dropping off the container, they damaged my gutter. Once my house sold, they still had not fixed it. Then it was up to me to get 3 quotes for repair when I don't own the house any longer! The new owners are pissed and we have 6 inches of snow and ice. Its impossible to get a roofing quote. Why waste my time for your mistake? To top it off i changed my order to have it stored at their facility. They now tell me that it will cost the same 320 a month to keep it there or my current residence. Keep in mind the original quote said it would be 116. Stay far away from this company. DO NOT HIRE PODS. They will make false promises they can't keep - every step of the way. I flew across the country to my new home to accept my POD delivery on December 19th, only to be told they "...didn't know where it was." No updates or information, despite multiple phone calls lasting HOURS. It took several days before they told me they could deliver it... after I had flown home for Christmas. And they offered me a $65 refund. Apparently, the truck broke down. More details below. Despite initial verbal commitments, my experience was marked by significant miscommunication, delays, and avoidable expenses. From the start, the agreed-upon delivery date changed without proper notice, requiring hours of phone calls to have PODS honor their original commitment. Upon delivery, the POD was driven crookedly into the driveway, incurring significant damaging my lawn. Although the driver acknowledged the error and said a manager would follow up, no one ever did. I had to initiate the complaint myself. A major delivery scheduled for December 19th in Salt Lake City failed to occur due to a supposed truck malfunction, with the POD's location initially unknown. I was informed that "only the third-party who handles the transport would know". I spent hours daily on the phone with no clear answers, had to reschedule movers, and flew back to St. Louis without the delivery. I returned on December 28 (at my own expense), only to learn the POD had been in Salt Lake City the entire time. The driver who brought the POD apologized, sharing that it was "his fault, as his truck broke down." He shared that he would tell his manager and get me a discount. Still, no manager ever contacted me. I was subsequently charged $146 for additional storage despite the delays being entirely PODS' fault. Attempts to resolve this through customer service were unsuccessful, with calls frequently disconnected and agents unhelpful. When I followed up on March 30, I was told emails had been sent in December--emails I only just received. They had closed my case. I requested for it to be reopened, and was informed I would receive $64.47 in compensation. OUTRAGEOUS. I would rather eat the $65 and warn customers to avoid PODS at all costs. read more

Wow ... I wish I had read yelp reviews prior to going with PODS for our moving needs. Just like many other reviewers, the initial POD delivery and pick up went smoothly. Our troubles began when we tried to arrange for transit from CA to TX. All arrangements had been made and we had a set delivery date -- we checked our emails and received updates -- including confirmation that the driver would be reaching out to us to set up a delivery time frame. Delivery day rolls around -- we had arranged from movers, taken time off from work -- and when by noon we hadn't heard from anyone, my wife started calling. Apparently, our pick up was canceled (despite having numerous confirmation emails) and the POD was still in CA. No explanation could be provided as to how this could happen and a manager refused to speak with us -- despite numerous requests. So ... we are paying rent on an apartment we can't live in ... movers have had to be canceled and rescheduled ... time has been lost from work ... oh ... AND we were double charged monthly rental which we are trying to correct with little success. Upon filing a billing dispute, because we didn't respond within 1-business day, they closed out our case without resolution. I understand that mistakes happen -- however, despite making numerous phone calls we can't get a straight answer regarding our concerns and no one will call us back. This process has been incredibly frustrating -- on top of the inherent stress of moving/relocating. I would genuinely consider other options for long distance moves. read more

This was one of the worst companies I've ever used. I used them for a cross country move with a plan for long term storage at their facility. I was quoted $200 less for storage fees than what they charged me. I had also discussed when booking that I wanted to store for 12 months. When they came to pick up the container they said it was supposed to be empty. Their customer service is unhelpful and I have spent hours on the phone trying to get everything straightened out. They randomly bill for things and charge your credit card. I've had over $500 in random charges. I will never use this company again. I'm not the first to say that I wish I had read the reviews first! Buying a new house and moving is stressful on it's own. But when dates change and the moving service can't make adjustments, their SOPs are broken. I lived in CT most of my life, in Maryland the past 12 years. I know how long the drive is. I live in Los Angeles and my POD has been stored here for over 3 years. Now that I am ready to have my POD moved to a different part of Los Angeles I am being told that it can only be delivered on a Wednesday. That is my only option. The flexibility PODS offers is excellent! from drop off to pick up, travel, and delivery/pick-up at the new house. always on-time and all the techs were friendly and professional. especially Kevionte in CA. he went the extra mile when dropping off our POD at the new house making sure I could still get my car in and out of the driveway. he also helped me open the POD as I had packed it to the brim and some of the items shifted a bit in transit making the door a bit tough to open. he's the man! read more

Ransoming my POD! I Changed the pick up date not knowing I had to reschedule the delivery location after I change pick up dates. Then PODS couldn't locate my POD Then they did but wanted to charge me storage for the time they couldn't find it. When I refused, they put my POD up for Auction. Took it off when I asked to settle, but put it back on when I refused to pay for storage when I never wanted storage. Keep charging me while we are in dispute. They are not trustworthy. I am not even sure they still have it. I already paid in full when it was picked up from my home. Terrible experience with PODS delivery in Ocala, FL. Despite clear instructions to place the container on the right side of my driveway, the driver blocked the middle, so I had to drive over my new lawn--risking damage to sprinklers and landscaping. The driver also left ugly skid marks on my brand new driveway. Customer service was unhelpful, refused to pick up the pod early or take responsibility for property damage. With strict HOA rules, this has caused me nothing but frustration. Regret choosing PODS and would never use them again. read more

Worst experience ever and will never use them nor recommend them to anyone! I was notified that my POD was being delivered the next day with a morning window provided. I booked movers upon notification. The next morning I received a notification to make sure the driveway is clear, as the PODS were coming. Guess what?? They never showed up!! I had to pay movers for the day and then pay them again to come back the next day when the POD actually showed up after dealing with the worst communication from the company -- who admitted it was their own fault and they have had a lot of these issues because their systems don't communicate and they were in the process of fixing it. So they admitted fault and then only offered me a credit for $60 even though I had to pay the movers $1000 for the day and that's not even including the hotel that needed to be extended because we did not have beds. I contacted their disputed department which is a HUGE joke because they keep sending a generic email out over and over again asking for the invoice from the moving company (which I provided) and they never responded to. I called and left a message and they never responded. This is an offshore company and their reps speak very bad English. Pod was dropped off on time however, at the last minute (day before) they told me they could not pick up the pod (now loaded with all my stuff on the street) until NEXT WEEK! I even received a confirmation that they would be picking it up on 8/21/25 yesterday! Now I am stuck, no one is calling me back, they are telling me my request has been denied!! I know people rave about PODs, but im fed up with them. We paid for same say pickup, due to us having them dropped off at a storage unit. They were dropped off on time, but when it came to the 4-430 pickup time, they cancelled on us and said you would pick up at 7 the next day. Now, you won't pick up until between 1 and 3 p.m. the storage facility doesn't allow for this, and are making a short term exemption. You would only refund us the same day pickup fee, but won't do anything else. Frustrated beyond words. We will not use you again in the future. read more

If you are a property owner DO NOT ALLOW PODS on your property. They damaged by building's pavement and refuse to take responsibility even though we have a video. They deny all liability with "canned responses" and property owners who allow tenants to hire PODS have to hire an attorney to sue for damages. We are banning PODS from all our buildings . read more

PODS Moving & Storage First of all, you HAVE to call them, and when you do it's a mess. Constant upselling attempts, telling you how they can't "hold this deal". We were trying to move up the east coast, approx 700 miles. The pod came a day late, which drastically reduced our moving schedule, then they picked it up 6 hours before they said they would, giving us even LESS time to pack it. And then once we reached our apartment, instead of delivering it July 8th, like they said they would, they've dumped all our stuff in a holding facility in DELAWARE (we're in Pennsylvania). They said we can get a truck on our own expense (I guess a UHaul) and come pick it up ourselves (multiple hours of driving which they should've done themselves 3 days ago) They are now saying they will not be able to deliver it until the 21st!!!! And that they will only give us about 2 hours to move an entire apartments worth of things in, and if it takes more than two hours they'll charge us more. Even though they've missed THEIR DEADLINES BY ALMOST A MONTH. Never, ever use. read more

We are doing a local move and had our stuff in storage for 12 months. The stuff was fine. But PODS is a hassle to work with. It seems like their computer system has gliches. If you update the pick up date on your order, you still get notifications that your prior pick up is about to happen. Then I got a notification the day before the empty pod was supposed to pick up that located it at a wrong address. I PHONED pods to make sure the correct address was on the order. They swore it was and the next day they still went to the wrong address. Then I had to spend MORE time with the call center in the Philipines trying to straighten this out. read more

I moved last month using PODS. Although the PODS part of the move was OK the packing company that the recommended on their site, PACK AND LOAD was horrible. I supplied multiple moving blankets as requested from them and they wrapped none of my outdoor metal furniture. Instead, they just threw the blankets in the bottom of the PODS container. There was a lot of paint missing on the furniture, I will have to have it repainted and I filed a complaint with them. It is estimated that is going to cost over $1000 to redo the furniture-their response was 60 cents per pound which they figured came to $45. VERY DISAPPOINTING! When I shared my experience with PODS and suggested they take them off their list of recommendations for packing their response was basically not our problem and hung up on me. Nice customer service! Got 2 pods. First one was good. Second delivery was a first gen POD with wood walls and base. The thing stunk. I waited a day to RAID the inside. I started sweeping and noticed all the mice feces. I asked for a swap which was a pain because they wanted to wait the following week because of logistics. I had a time crunch because I needed to move. They replaced it a couple of days later. I was originally charged 418.00 for that POD. They charged me 426.00 for the replacement but refunded me 422.50. They technically owe me $3.75 right? I've spend hours on the phone trying to get my money. Called many times and they keep brushing me away and insist that math is right. I do NOT care if it is a few dollars. The company called 15 minutes before the empty POD was to be picked up saying that the driver would not be there for 5 days due to a scheduling issue. After hours on the phone talking to someone out of the country, I was told the POD would be picked up. 4 days later the POD is still in my driveway, I can not complete the move in of my house. Would do 0 if I could, I cancelled my pod 2 weeks ago and I wasn't able to get the storage fees refunded which was okay but then I was charged again a couple days ago for protection while in transit fees but have nothing in there to protect, I called and got transferred to collections where they just wanted me to pay and when I called back it said there was no one to help me. I would not recommend pods main because of their hidden fees and after being told I wasn't going to be charged and then getting more charges, I dont want any of my info in their system because I fear either I'll be charged or they send it to collections without even talking to me to resolve it read more

My POD is stuck in POD LIMBO! After easily scheduling and receiving our POD. I could not schedule pick up of my POD for TEN days and final delivery OVER ONE MONTH from that pick up! Unfortunately, their customer service offers ZERO help except to be told that I am on a waiting list. In the mean time, ALL of my household belongs and some non-urgent medical equipment are in the POD. I am expected to be without my belongings for 45 days, AND be charged an extra month. When I was sold the POD, I was told it would take approximately two weeks to transport the POD from Illinois to my new home. When I call customer service, I am not allowed to escalate to any one except the foreign call center agent who tells me to "rest assured" if something becomes available, I will be added to the delivery list. The sales agent will tell you "yes" to any specific question that you ask and give you a fictitious name. I was told that my 11' wide driveway was "no problem " to put the pods in (I was in an HOA and overnight street parking was not allowed). WELL, the 3 pods arrived and the driver said that the driveway had to be at least 12' wide and put them in the street. Thanks to the selfishness of the sales agent I had a nightmare on my hands. FRAUDULENT- BUYER BEWARE! PODS did a Bait and Switch tactic on me. Quoted me for a job they did NOT finish, then called me only a few hours (8 hrs) before the drop off of the POD to tell me they could not deliver to my zip code when they had my delivery zip code from day one (at least two weeks in advance). Very deceitful. In comparison, U-Pack did not do that, they quoted me $500 less and told me they could not deliver to my zip code. I opted to use PODS because PODS told me they "could" deliver to my zip code 90293 and I also paid extra for the POD to be picked up on the same day. Very fraudulent company. Do not use PODS, beware. There are several complaints of customers saying the same thing. I spent hours on the phone with a couple of supervisors who could not help me at all. They took zero ownership for their mistake. They tie you in and once you are stuck with them and you have no other choice (because your POD container is with them/they have your belongings) they tell you it will cost an additional $699. plus tax for them to hire a different service company to deliver to your location. This is FRAUD!!!!!! BEWARE!! Do not use PODS. You are better off using U-Pack (they are honest) or even getting your own truck, a U-Haul. Do NOT use PODS! read more

I was divorced in 2016. I was already out of the home & the godforsaken Rio Grande Valley. My ex put my belongings into a pod. I am the sole payer on the account & have been since it was opened. However, because my ex was the person present when the items were put into storage, his name is on the account. At least 3 times a year for the last several years I have requested the name on account to be corrected & have been told they would do this & it is yet to happen. Interestingly, they still manage to take $155 a month out of MY account, and they manage to get that right. read more
