    Regular Bowl & Miso Soup
    Evan L.

Stopped by for a lunch. Service was great. She was very attentive once I walked in and throughout my ordering process. They do give nice sized portions and the fish was tasty. I appreciate the complementary miso soup that you can get if you order a bowl or burrito. Interior wasn't huge but was enjoyable to eat in.

I am a poke lover but my bowl here was disappointing. The rice was cold and hard. The salad tasted unwashed. The topping options do not appear that fresh and you can especially taste it. I couldn't finish my bowl, specifically my tuna because it felt suspicious in my mouth. The crab meat is very dry, chunky, doesn't separate that easy. They limit the amount of toppings you get depending on the size you order. The bowls are very pricey for said limitations. The bowl was overall very dry and lacking flavor. I got ponzu sauce but it tasted like there was nothing on it. One good thing I'll say is they serve very generous portions with the specific toppings or proteins you can order depending on the size bowl you get. Ordered a strawberry watermelon drink, it was not good. Tasted very artificial with a lot of cut up strawberries in it that didn't fix the artificial taste, I couldn't finish it. The best way I can describe the drink is like a boba fruit tea that had been sitting out all day in the sun with too much syrup. Another benefit is the parking isn't bad here and there's 2 designated spots for parking for customers here.

My husband and I were craving poke while we were in the North Orange County area and found our way over to Poke Ave. There was a lot of selection in terms of items required to build one's bowl, pricing was fair for the generous portions, and service was friendly. As first time diners, the establishment left a great first impression. Poke Ave is located off of Imperial Highway in Brea and can be found in a small shopping strip. There is free parking for customers shared among the other businesses. My husband and I both ordered poke bowls; a regular size and large size, respectively. The proteins were fresh and of good quality. The lady assembling the bowl was extremely generous with all of the fixings. We had a delicious lunch that definitely filled us up. Their Garlic Lemon Creamy sauce paired nicely with my salad-based bowl. We are adding Poke Ave to our list of places to stop if we're craving poke in the area. Looking forward to returning soon.

Found this place while on an appointment. Service and food were great! Not a regular poke guy, the staff was helpful with recommendations. Everything was fresh.

We love this Poke spot! Literally, the best and the owner Katie really cares about her customers! The sauces are amazing we did sesame oil, ponzu and Loco 1 (mild) with spicy mayo on top!

We stopped in on our way home out of town and were very happy with the choice. Very yummy and fresh! Great portions and customer service

It was my first time here. Service is not great if you're new. Rude. Service 1/5 Food 3.5/5 Food was good but I love poke spots that let me order unlimited toppings Story: It was a lady at the front, I assume the owner reading the other comments. Wasn't really greeted welcome. I was looking at the menu above on the wall, I asked if I can see the size of the bowls & she said it's all the same. I said what do you mean, she said just less scoop.. all other poke shops I've been too had different bowl sizes so this took me by surprise. She said small is this much scoop and I said okay, how much is it (cause it wasn't on the wall menu) she pointed at the glass window in front of me & said it's right there. I thought that was rude like how am I supposed to read and scan everything, I've been reading the board. She seemed to just want me out. She said sides, I picked all of them like I normally do & she said you only get x amount and I'm like wow okay.. I paid, got my water cup & sat down. It was just bizarre customer service. Then when I assume regulars who came in cause they knew how to order, she had a smile on, she said welcome & thank you! She said if you just come here it's cheaper than ordering online I'll make it fast. It was like she was a different person lol I hope she treats others who don't know how to order there with more respect. There's another poke spot near by so next time I will be going there instead.

    Regular Poke Bowl

Most delicious poke spot, I've been coming here for years and I always forget to add a review because I devour the bowl too quickly and realize when I'm almost done hahaha. They also offer free miso soup with a regular or large bowl and the owners are lovely people! Definitely recommend this spot.

Was in the neighborhood picking up some food for the family and as usual everyone wants something different. Last stop before I brought lunch back home was this new restaurant that serves my daughter's favorite...POKE . There was designated parking just for the restaurant, which was cool . The restaurant was very clean and all the food not only looked fresh but was delicious! The staff was super helpful and friendly especially since it was my first time there. The service was great and fast and the price was fair. I definitely will be coming back!

Like a lot of poke spots, there were times in the past where the fish portions felt... light. Tiny scoops, lots of rice, and you leave wishing you got what you paid for. That was my early experience, and it kept me from coming as often as I wanted. But something has definitely changed, and in the best way possible. Lately, every single visit has been stacked. I'm talking generous, heaping scoops of fish, perfectly balanced bowls, and portions that actually feel worth the price. You can see it while they're building your bowl, they're not skimping. It's consistent, too, which matters. Nothing worse than loving a spot one day and being disappointed the next. Quality is on point, everything tastes fresh, and the amount of food you get now is honestly impressive. I leave full every time, sometimes with leftovers, which never used to happen. If you haven't been in a while, go back. If portion size ever held you back before, I can confidently say: it's no longer an issue. The Poke Co is doing it right.

It was super satisfying and fairly spicy, something most poké spots don't ever get to. I normally don't get mayo in my bowls, but this wasn't too bad and had a nice kick to it. The service was okay. The server behind the counter was very helpful and generous with the portions. He also stepped through every option, giving useful suggestions as to what to add next. He was also very adept at making small talk that sounded like he was interested. The only caveat was he disappeared after taking and making my order. This was possibly due to being the only worker in the shop. But it was also very jarring to have not a single soul looking after the dining room or front counter. This was even more noticeable because the spot was barren as far as customers go. There were no pick-up or take-out orders ready to go. There were no dine-in customers other than me. It was super eerie, like I was eating in a ghost town or waking up in the Walking Dead world. It did allow me enough quiet to read my book after, which was nice. But it's very unsettling to be eating alone alone for 75% of the meal without even employees in eyesight. All in all, the food was good but I wish it was a bit more popular so I don't feel like the first guest to a party the whole time.

It turned what could have been a simple dinner into a memorable experience from the moment I sat down. I ordered the sashimi plate, and it was absolutely outstanding--fresh, beautifully prepared, and surprisingly well-priced for the quality. What impressed me most was the honesty of the staff. I was considering ordering a larger portion, but they actually talked me out of it because they knew I wouldn't finish it. They were right. That small gesture showed me they cared more about giving me a great experience than squeezing a few extra dollars out of my wallet. That kind of customer service is rare these days. What makes this experience even more memorable is that I had just come from X Fish Izakaya, where I spent nearly an hour waiting to be seated while watching people who arrived after me get seated first. I left feeling frustrated and completely overlooked. Walking into Chubby Sushi was the exact opposite experience. Here, I felt welcomed, appreciated, and genuinely taken care of from the moment I walked through the door. As if the food and service weren't enough, on my way out I met a well-known food reviewer and even got the chance to hold a giant tuna head that Chubby Sushi had on display for a photo. It was one of those unexpected moments that made an already great night unforgettable. Sometimes a bad experience leads you exactly where you're supposed to be. I'm genuinely glad X Fish Izakaya dropped the ball because it led me to discover Chubby Sushi. This wasn't just a great meal--it was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time and one I'll remember for years to come. I'll definitely be back. The spicy tuna crispy rice is good but I think it would be better fresh at the establishment because it got a little soggy, which can be expected when ordering takeout. The spicy tuna crispy rice was good, a little soggy but I believe that is due to it being a takeout order. It did taste a little too oily for my liking though. As for the pricing... This place is a little more expensive than what I usually am willing to spend for good sushi. The takeout packaging is very nice, not your typical cheap to go containers. However, as you can see the the picture, the uni was sitting/soaking in the oyster juice that took out the sweetness of the uni and instead filled it with the salty seawater flavor.
