    A pathetic amount of fish
    Arlen A.

I ordered from this establishment for to go off of grub hub. Look at the pathetic amount of fish they put in my order. I paid for an additional scoop and also paid extra for yellowtail which they skimped. They took advantage of the fact it's to go and skimped on the fish. I'm never ordering from them again.

Came to this poke spot in Glendale never been here b4 it was really good and really packed i was amazed on how big the box was so if ur really enjoy poke n want more portion come try this place out fresh and fast

tried this poke spot near the americana and pleasantly surprised at how fresh the fish was!and for a size large, we got a considerable portion. ive tried other poke spots in glendale and nothing really stood out (although also not bad) and i would say poke n roll ranks slightly above the others. the only gripe i had was that the sauce wasnt mixed into our fish like i was used to, i maybe could have asked for them too but i found it odd they didnt do it automatically. so i was just dipping my fish into the sauce on the side.. otherwise i would return! really friendly workers and seems the staff are huge fans of house and I really enjoyed the freshness of the salmon especially.

each sauce is one dollar! I hope you aren't the type to like to put everything on it lol

I decided to try out a new poke spot and I'm a little disappointed. I've tried a few pokey spots and I'm well aware that pokey is not cheap. However, I always feel like you get your moneys worth except for today. I paid $23 for this Poké bowl. The fish was very fresh and so were all the ingredients, but I felt like the staff could've been more friendly. The young lady that assisted me didn't give me any type of direction. It was my first time here. The fish options that they had were very simple. The toppings were also very simple. Being that it was my first time, I asked the girl to pick a sauce that was sweet and spicy because I wasn't familiar with the sauces. and she gave me a container didn't explain what it was and just said it's going to be extra. I tasted it. I think it was oyster sauce, but it definitely was not what I was looking for so I went back and asked for two additional sauces, which both were a dollar each extra. I won't be coming back. Although it was fresh and it tasted good. It did not meet my expectations for a poke bowl. My advice would be to thoroughly read the board menu before ordering so you don't miss out on any special toppings. I usually rely on the employees to kind of suggest the good stuff. and I usually like all the sauces mixed so it was unfortunate that I had to pay for each single one. They had plenty of parking and it was really nice, clean and fresh inside. Very nice place.

Service was very friendly. Cashier will talk stories with you and tell you how he makes the food. Now onto the food. The reason why I rated this 3 stars is because it could improve a lot. Portion met the standards (which they give a lot in Hawaii in multiple LnL locations). The taste and how they made the kalua pork was ok. The taste was a little bland and like any other kalua pork, it has to be mixed with the cabbage, this place didn't. The cabbage was underneath and still freshly cut. A good kalua pork would be mixed with the cabbage so the cabbage is soft. And I get it, people don't like cabbage sometimes, but that's just the dish. I feel like the kalua pork could be more tender as it was a little rough to munch on and more with the seasonings. This place can improve a lot. Hopefully they can contact LnL in Hawaii to help with the recipes and cooking methods (:

The lady at the counter was super sweet and made small talk with me. I got my order which came out to $17.12 after tax. Food-wise, the fried chicken was indeed delicious! I loved the batter: it was shatteringly crisp. The chicken was tender and flavored well, but I loved the sauce that came with it! For the mac salad, I thought it was just okay. It tasted a bit plain from other mac salads I've tried, but the noodles were cooked perfectly. For the price, the portion size is okay, but I'm not complaining since the food was good. We came on a Sunday and it was very packed! The whole restaurant was almost at full capacity. The parking lot is also small but street parking is available. The restaurant has the entire aloha vibe. There's indoor and outdoor seating and you order at the register before you find seats. We ended up using the redemption for the spam Musubis and I ordered a stack of the Macadamia Nut pancakes. We were lucky to find seating outside and the food didn't take long to be received. The spam musubi were very saucy, but I enjoyed them. The Macadamia Nut pancakes is IT, though! You must try these pancakes if it's your first time. The portion is enormous! The first bite of it was exceptional! The Hawaiian barbecue chicken was incredibly juicy, tender, and full of flavor without being dry at all. The real star of the meal, though, was the short ribs. They were unbelievably tender, perfectly seasoned, and practically fell apart with every bite. Every part of the meal was cooked with care, and you could taste the quality in every dish. The service made the experience even better. Everyone greeted us with a smile, was genuinely welcoming, and made us feel appreciated from the moment we walked in. It's always refreshing to eat somewhere that not only serves amazing food but also has a team that clearly enjoys taking care of its customers. This was easily one of the best Hawaiian meals I've had in a long time, and I already know I'll be back. I'm especially excited to try the chicken katsu next because if it's anywhere near as good as the barbecue chicken and short ribs, I'm sure it'll be another favorite. Over the years I've gotten take-out here but have also done dine-in. It seems they mostly do catering now, because they have very short business hours for the public. They are only open Thursdays and Fridays 10-3. Per the nice male employee who gave me my order, they're open on Sat and Sun if they don't have a lot of catering jobs, otherwise they're closed. Their website says their dining room is closed, but the employee says it's open Thurs and Fri. Nevertheless, I followed the website's info and ordered pick up. Here's what I ordered: 1) Komai's Big Breakfast. Komai was Aloha's original chef. Two eggs with all the meats: Portuguese sausage, Spam, Vienna sausage, corned beef hash plus 2 scoops of rice and a Hawaiian roll. No surprises here, very nice. 2) Kal B Chicken plate lunch. Chicken marinated in the same sauce as the more familiar kalbi beef short ribs, with rice and mac salad. The chicken did not seem to take up the marinade as well as beef, so it was tasty but on the dry side. I'd probably give their chicken teriyaki a go next time. The mac salad was fine, did have potatoes. 3) Spam musubi. Again no surprises, classic 4) ordered a side of char siu, but it was not available. A nice go-to if you're hankering for classic Hawaiian on a Thurs or Fri.

Everyone was attentive, friendly, and made us feel very welcome. To start I really loved the yellowtail crispy rice. It was one of the best versions I've ever had. The spicy yellowtail was perfectly seasoned, the crispy rice had the ideal texture, and the sauce, ikura, and finishing touches brought everything together beautifully. I also loved that they offered a 50/50 option with Spam crispy rice since that's my husband's favorite, so we both got exactly what we wanted. The tuna poki featured excellent quality fish, although the sauce wasn't my personal favorite. My husband absolutely loved it, though. The dumplings were another highlight and ended up being his favorite dish of the night. You could tell they were made fresh in-house, and the peas added a really nice balance. My only note was that the sauce leaned a little too heavily on the coconut flavor for my taste. For our entrée, we ordered the pan-fried snapper. I completely forgot to take a photo before we started serving ourselves, but it was beautifully cooked. It reminded me a bit of bronzino with its delicate, flaky texture. The fish itself was fantastic, although, similar to a few other dishes, the sauce wasn't quite what I'm used to. The warm rice pudding was also really tasty. My only complaint was that there wasn't enough actual rice pudding compared to all of the toppings because the flavor was so good. For reference, I'm someone who really doesn't enjoy Thai food, while my husband loves it. This isn't Thai food at all, but some of the sauces had coconut-forward flavor profiles that reminded me of flavors I typically don't gravitate toward. Even with that, I still genuinely enjoyed every dish we ordered, which says a lot about how well everything was prepared. There were dishes I'd absolutely order again, and others I'd probably swap out next time simply because there were so many interesting options on the menu. I also appreciated that the menu had plenty of seafood options, which was perfect since I've been trying to eat more fish. Everything we ordered was fresh and high quality. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere. It's on the smaller side, but it feels cozy rather than cramped. I also think it's a great place to come with a group because the portions are perfect for sharing, making it easy to try a variety of dishes. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be back. Next time, I'd love to explore more of the menu because there were so many dishes that caught my eye.
