Small box, white rice with salmon and octopus

My husband was craving poke while we were in Glendale so we stopped by Poke N Roll. I was disappointed by how they charge extra for some of the toppings that are typically common in poke. Everything seemed overpriced and the staff didn't seem happy to help us. My husband asked for wasabi, and they gave him a small container of the tiniest bit of wasabi in there. They seemed stingy and not willing to give more than what exactly fit in their scoop. They also don't mix the sauces in, but give them to you in containers which is unusual compared to other poke places we've been to. The poke tasted good and the fish was fresh, but it was a disappointing eat due to the price and lack of quality service.

    A pathetic amount of fish

I ordered from this establishment for to go off of grub hub. Look at the pathetic amount of fish they put in my order. I paid for an additional scoop and also paid extra for yellowtail which they skimped. They took advantage of the fact it's to go and skimped on the fish. I'm never ordering from them again.

Came to this poke spot in Glendale never been here b4 it was really good and really packed i was amazed on how big the box was so if ur really enjoy poke n want more portion come try this place out fresh and fast

tried this poke spot near the americana and pleasantly surprised at how fresh the fish was!and for a size large, we got a considerable portion. ive tried other poke spots in glendale and nothing really stood out (although also not bad) and i would say poke n roll ranks slightly above the others. the only gripe i had was that the sauce wasnt mixed into our fish like i was used to, i maybe could have asked for them too but i found it odd they didnt do it automatically. so i was just dipping my fish into the sauce on the side.. otherwise i would return! really friendly workers and seems the staff are huge fans of house and I really enjoyed the freshness of the salmon especially.

each sauce is one dollar! I hope you aren't the type to like to put everything on it lol

I decided to try out a new poke spot and I'm a little disappointed. I've tried a few pokey spots and I'm well aware that pokey is not cheap. However, I always feel like you get your moneys worth except for today. I paid $23 for this Poké bowl. The fish was very fresh and so were all the ingredients, but I felt like the staff could've been more friendly. The young lady that assisted me didn't give me any type of direction. It was my first time here. The fish options that they had were very simple. The toppings were also very simple. Being that it was my first time, I asked the girl to pick a sauce that was sweet and spicy because I wasn't familiar with the sauces. and she gave me a container didn't explain what it was and just said it's going to be extra. I tasted it. I think it was oyster sauce, but it definitely was not what I was looking for so I went back and asked for two additional sauces, which both were a dollar each extra. I won't be coming back. Although it was fresh and it tasted good. It did not meet my expectations for a poke bowl. My advice would be to thoroughly read the board menu before ordering so you don't miss out on any special toppings. I usually rely on the employees to kind of suggest the good stuff. and I usually like all the sauces mixed so it was unfortunate that I had to pay for each single one. They had plenty of parking and it was really nice, clean and fresh inside. Very nice place.

wowow the portions here are huge. my friend and i were able to share the large that comes with 4 protein choices. every bite was so hearty and all the ingredients were fresh!

my wet dream.. i love poke

great place right next to the mall. this place needs more parking. also if this place could get a bathroom that would be great as well. tiny lil hole in the wall. lots of different fish options

It is a small, unassuming little place with a free parking lot. Upon entering, I was greeted warmly, and I have to say, the service was great! I loved the batter: it was shatteringly crisp. The chicken was tender and flavored well, but I loved the sauce that came with it! For the mac salad, I thought it was just okay. It tasted a bit plain from other mac salads I've tried, but the noodles were cooked perfectly. For the price, the portion size is okay, but I'm not complaining since the food was good. Overall, the friendly service and fried chicken is what makes me want to come back again! I definitely want to try their other offerings too. Would recommend!

I ordered the Kalua pig and added the Portuguese Sausage. My guest ordered the macadamia pancakes. The Kalua pig was SALTY! Borderline non edible. The macadamia pancake was a massive amount of vanilla custard with a stingy amount of macadamia nut sprinkled on it. If you love massive amounts of custard, then this is for you. Unfortunately the custard did not compliment the pancakes but rather overwhelmed them. I have a favorite Hawaiian food spot in Lawndale and will make the trip as it is definitely worth it.

Typically would live a BBQ mix plate, but did not want left overs. The burger was excellent I must say, it was large, had great flavor, I think it picked up some of the flavor from the other BBQ meats they cook. Lettuce, tomato, onions, a complete solid burger. Recommended. We also got a basic side salad, with a sesame dressing, it was good, decent side garden salad. We also got a couple orders of fries, which were a let down to me, over cooked and the flavor just was not there. I wish we would have save the $8 for the two orders of fries, which I think even if good was a bit high for French fries. They have a burger by itself, or a combo that comes with fries and a drink. If you just want fries, you order the burger and then the fry, no special deal, but as I said, I would skip the fries and get some spam musubi or Mac salad or anything else. They also have a thing of Jalapeños, garlic and onions you can get yourself, I really like them. They were very busy, staff seemed a little overwhelmed, but they did a good job and seemed nice enough. They have a small interior with tables and a couple outside in front under a thatched umbrella, good touch. The location is great, right on San Fernando and 2nd I believe, near the theater and all the shopping. Enjoy!

Over the years I've gotten take-out here but have also done dine-in. It seems they mostly do catering now, because they have very short business hours for the public. Their website says their dining room is closed, but the employee says it's open Thurs and Fri. Nevertheless, I followed the website's info and ordered pick up. Here's what I ordered: 1) Komai's Big Breakfast. Komai was Aloha's original chef. Two eggs with all the meats: Portuguese sausage, Spam, Vienna sausage, corned beef hash plus 2 scoops of rice and a Hawaiian roll. No surprises here, very nice. 2) Kal B Chicken plate lunch. Chicken marinated in the same sauce as the more familiar kalbi beef short ribs, with rice and mac salad. The chicken did not seem to take up the marinade as well as beef, so it was tasty but on the dry side. I'd probably give their chicken teriyaki a go next time. The area was busy, but I was able to find a spot without too much effort. We ordered a handful of dishes to share. The standout appetizer for me was the Spam Crispy Rice. The rice was crispy without being overly hard, and the flavors worked really well together. Simple, but done right. The Tempura Cauliflower was another solid choice. It had a nice crunch on the outside, and the tangy sauce gave it enough flavor to keep things interesting without overwhelming the dish. The Crab Cake was probably my favorite item of the night. It was moist, flavorful, and packed with crab rather than filler. Definitely something I'd order again. The Malama Mochiko Chicken was good, but it didn't leave much of an impression compared to the other dishes we tried. Nothing wrong with it, just not the most memorable item on the table. I like to eat mine with no sauce but it had a strong shoyu taste but when I used the tomato ginger dipping sauce it gave it a totally different taste that cut down the salt. I think it was a bit too sophisticated for me. A dish meant for people with a more discerning palate.
