I needed a quick place for lunch after taking care of some stressful errands, and this was the perfect spot! The cashier was incredibly friendly, and used friendly prompts to help me put together my bowl and answered all my questions about ingredients competently and politely. On top of that, I got to sit down with free wifi and a spacious place to sit and enjoy the meal. The meal was satisfying and tasted fresh. Poke Xpress might be a little new to town but the food is here outstanding. I love how there are so many options for the customers to pick. If you're feeling hungry then a bowl sounds absolutely delicious but if you're not hungry but still craving some snacks then the sushi menu is for you. We have eaten here twice so far and I really want to like this place, but I have to mention that the portion sizes vary too much depending on who makes your bowl. I always buy 4-5 bowls each time I go and the girl who made my daughter's all salmon bowl tonight put barely any salmon or rice. It barely filled the bottom half of the container by th time she was all done. It obviously did not look like the ones that the owner made last time we were there so I had asked the owner to add a few more pieces at the end. We usually go to the other Poke bowl places in the area which is bit of a drive for us so I really hope that the owner of this place can show all of his workers to be more consistant. But to be fair, the first visit was wonderful. Also, having the option of adding seaweed salad and avocado without an extra charge is awesome! read more

I go to Poke Xpress almost every week 1-2 times, because they have the best Poke I ever had in the south bay. I went to so many other places in SF and south bay, and all of them feels like fast food while the bowl is half empty. At Poke Xpress you always get enough food, great quality and amazing service. It's a family run business where they pay a lot of attention to the customers. The different options are very delicious and always great for a healthy diet. Excellent Lion King roll! The size of the roll was a bit smaller than what I've gotten from other places, but was very well made. The large Poke Bowl I got was also delicious and very generous in size. If I could change anything, I'd like to see the salmon cut in slightly larger pieces. They close at 9pm but there have been several times I showed up right at closing and they were more than happy to accommodate me. The fish and toppings were all very fresh and full of flavor, and the staff were super friendly and on point with their recommendations too - the spicy mayo and eel sauce combination was perfect!
