    Regular Poki Bowl (~$19) - 4/5 stars
    Melanie H.

I unironically have been and still am a Poki Bowl fan, despite this rating, which is only for this location. Bowls are a lot pricier nowadays as with most poke places because of inflation, but avocado is included at least. A regular bowl comes out to almost $20 after tax. Sauces are added in levels of spice so you don't have to think twice about what sauce combo to choose. The service is subpar for the Cottle location. I've come when it's empty or when there's a couple people ahead of me, but it seems like my bowl was rushed to get made and thus, I'm not getting the full portion. It's probably worse for DoorDash orders since you can't watch your bowl being made. Go to the Almaden location if you can. REGULAR POKI BOWL: 4/5 (~$19) + My order: 1/2 sushi rice 1/2 mixed greens, 3 scoops salmon, spicy, topped with furikake and spicy mayo + Just as good as when they were the rage in 2016 in my opinion! + Solid and consistent fish quality. Some places are of course better, but some places are also way worse + Sauce doesn't seem soy based. It probably has a blend of sesame oil, chili oil, and something else. I eat it up either way! + Love how their onions and cucumbers are cut here (not in chunks or ridiculously thin slices)

regular bowl with tuna, salmon, crab meat, avocado, cucumbers, green onions, sesame seeds, etc. forgot which dressing i got :(

This is my cousin's favorite poke bowl place, so I decided to try this place out with her. There weren't too many people when we came around 6:30pm on a Sunday. Poki Bowl is quite pricy, with a regular bowl being $18.25 and then there's tax + tip, but maybe that's because this is the bay area lol. For light eaters like me, a regular bowl is still a lot of food, so I'm glad they do give a lot of food. I don't eat regular poke bowls much anymore ever since I discovered Hawaiian poke, but I think this place is pretty good for what it is. The tuna is okay though, I wish I got more of the salmon, which was pretty tasty. Service is ok, we had to wait a bit for the server to come back to take our orders. Poki Bowl is located in a nice area and I liked how open and big the interior was. I'll come back next time I'm in the bay/if there's no Hawaiian poke around.

I get a vegetarian poke bowl, but they have octopus. Ahi tuna, salmon and tofu. I also get half rice and half greens. Onions, cucumbers and mild sauce. All the toppings. Every time we go for lunch the staff is quick to prepare a our bowls. They have outside and indoor seating.

Half Regular Bowl. Tiny portion. $18.95

Price goes up so much ,I get it , coz inflation. But the food portion goes smaller and smaller is very disappointing. White rice , really ? Can't even have little more of white rice. I used to come here all the time. Almost $20 a bowl. I rather order a chirashi from a sushi restaurant. Never come back again.

The food was good! The service was quick and simple. The place smells as any other poki bowl place. I only would recommend this place if you want something fast and simple!

Ordered the regular size poke bowl, got two scoops of ahi tuna and one scoop of spicy tuna. Had a good amount of toppings in the bowl. I appreciate the avocado topping was free of charge, but thought it was a bit strange edamame was a upcharge. Overall quality of fish seemed fresh.

I was craving for poke bowl and found this place to try today. Environment: due to covid, the indoor sitting was not available Food: I give 3/5 because fish isn't very fresh. I like the aspect that avocado is free. However, seaweed salad or ginger would cost extra. Fish itself tastes okay. It's not too fresh but it's okay. Service: service was good. I went there towards the end of the day and the employee was nice and energetic. Parking: there's parking across the street or you can park on street The differences between large and small is large get four scoops of fish and small get three scoops. I believe the size of the bowl is the same regardless of the size.

It is a tiny restaurant nestled in between CVS and another business, I forget what. But there is a tree blocking their signage and the additional small stand-up sign barely draws enough attention to the location. Restaurant is small, but the service is prompt and friendly. You order through a QR code on the table and all mobile devices ordering from the same table will have their orders consolidated. Beef Udon stir fry is tasty, but as many have said, on the sweeter side. Loooooove the texture and chew of the udon noodles. Very springy, almost like korean rice cakes or gnocchi. Sake chirashi bowl was delicious too. Would be nice if the wasabi was on the side. My daughter loves sashimi but can't handle when the wasabi touches the fish. Too spicy for her. Freshness of the fish is good. It's not the luxury cut of salmon, but the quality is still very worthwhile. Can't go wrong with Cali Roll, sweet potato fries, and spring rolls (fried egg rolls). Kids gobbled them right up. My bestie also ordered a sizzling plate which she finished just as quickly. Definitely RECOMMEND this spot for small get togethers, party of 5 or less. They may not have much in sushi variety, but what they dish up, they serve with pride with modest prices. Cheers to the sweet woman who gave our kids lollipops after their meal. Pretty basic but friendly. I first came here to have Chicken Katsu. It was flavorful and the meat was tender. The sauce hit the spot and and satisfying. I plan to go back and try their sushi and ramen. The location is close to my home, which is a bonus for me. They are typically not very busy, i believe because most customers get their food to go. However, once you step inside, you're greeted with an amazing dining experience that far surpasses initial impressions. Ambiance and Decor: The interior is modern and tastefully designed, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. A standout feature is the glass wine cellar situated at the center of the restaurant, adding a touch of elegance. Even the restrooms are impeccably clean--a detail that reflects the establishment's commitment to excellence. Cuisine and Menu: While the menu isn't vast, it offers a wide range of options catering to every taste and dietary requirement. The appetizers are generously portioned, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. We started with the Vegetarian Spring Rolls, which included two rolls cut in half--each half the size of a full spring roll at other restaurants. Served with a well-crafted hoisin peanut sauce, the portion was so ample that we took half of it home. The Quails Appetizer was a delightful surprise, arriving as a substantial serving that resembled a main dish. The quail was expertly prepared with a mild teriyaki glaze and accompanied by a fresh side salad. Both appetizers set a high standard for the rest of the meal. For the main course, we ordered the Combination Vermicelli with Prawns and Egg Roll, requesting prawns only. The dish came in a large bowl with a side sauce and was abundant with prawns--enough to satisfy two diners. The highlight was the Salmon Wellington. Presented beautifully, the salmon was wrapped in spinach and encased in crispy puff pastry, resting on a bed of delicious lemon beurre sauce and asparagus. Words can't do justice to how amazing this dish was; we found ourselves using the fresh bread to savor every last bit of the sauce. Again, the portion was generous enough for two. Wine List: The wine list is very good and the prices are very reasonable. Service and Experience: From our seating area, we could view the kitchen through a large window, watching the owner chef work his magic. The service was impeccable throughout the evening. We personally thanked the chef for the incredible experience. Conclusion: The combination of superb service, excellent presentation, inviting ambiance, and reasonable prices made for an unforgettable dining experience. I only wish we had discovered Elements Restaurant sooner. It's perfect for a romantic dinner or special occasion, yet the pricing makes it suitable for any day of the week. Great place for bringing friends and family. I strongly recommend that you visit this amazing gem--don't wait! Note: They also offer an extensive take-away menu, which is even larger than their dine-in selection.

It's a relatively smaller restaurant and seems to be family run, with friendly staff and good service. Big wine enclosure, a separate bar area. We started out with the quail appetizer, which was a little disappointing. The quail seemed overcooked, which I'd imagine is easy to do with such a small bird, but both the cook and flavor were nothing to write home about. Just too dry. I'm not one who loves to deal with the difficulty of eating something small with minimal meat, but am more than willing to if it's prepared well and tastes great, but this didn't meet either mark. I think a closer to correct cook would have helped a lot. However, the other dishes were very good. The tea flavored duck was prepared VERY well, nice cook and delicately flavored. Liked this one a lot. Some taro there as well for carb/starch lovers - also good. I would definitely order this again. The Salmon Wellington was overall good - I think it could have been a bit more seasoned, but overall, we still enjoyed it. I'd likely not order this again, not because it wasn't good, but I'd want to try other dishes on the menu. The mango panna cotta was overall good. Not special, but solid. We'd come back here again. Nice people, good food, interesting menu.

Birthday Fireworks, Family Memories & Elevated Dining at Trifecta…read more My husband and I celebrated our birthdays at Trifecta this year with our children, and it turned into such a memorable evening. Our neighbors first introduced us to this family-owned gem, and one of the things that keeps us coming back is the genuinely warm and personable service. You can truly feel the care they put into both the food and the dining experience. While my son and I aren't huge seafood or sushi eaters, we can absolutely appreciate the artistry behind Trifecta's sushi. Every dish is beautifully presented, thoughtfully crafted, and made with incredibly fresh ingredients and elevated garnishes. We're just admittedly picky eaters who tend to gravitate toward our comfort favorites like chicken or beef teriyaki. The restaurant is usually packed, so reservations are definitely recommended if you don't want a long wait. Surprisingly, this visit was a little quieter than usual, which made for a nice relaxed atmosphere. My husband and daughter were interested in trying the Chef's Tasting Menu, but we learned it's designed as a full-table dining experience where everyone participates -- something we may plan for another visit. The standout dishes of the night were definitely the corn ribs and chicken karaage. The corn ribs disappeared before I could even snap a photo because everyone devoured them immediately! My family also loved the Pork Adobo Ribs special. I'll admit, Trifecta is more of a special occasion restaurant for us. The bill can climb quickly, especially with multiple sushi lovers at the table, but the quality, creativity, service, and overall experience absolutely reflect that higher-end dining experience. This isn't your average weekly sushi spot -- it's a place you go to celebrate. To top off the night, the staff surprised us with dessert decorated with sparkling light-up fireworks, which made our birthday celebration feel extra festive and thoughtful. The only downside of the evening had nothing to do with the restaurant itself -- unfortunately, a couple at a nearby table was quite loud, drunk, and disruptive. Thankfully, the incredible food and attentive staff still made the night feel special overall. Highly recommended for celebrations, date nights, and anyone looking for elevated food paired with exceptional hospitality.

Unfortunately, this experience left me just as disappointed as before. I placed an order through DoorDash and received it about 45 minutes later, which I understood since the app noted they were busier than usual. No issue there. The problem started when I checked the receipt on the sealed bag--it had my name and all the correct ingredients listed. However, when I opened it (and it was clearly still sealed, so not a driver issue), it turned out to be someone else's order entirely, with completely different items. This is very similar to my previous experience, where part of my order was missing altogether. At this point, it's hard to justify giving them another chance. It's especially frustrating because the food itself has been great when it's correct. Issues like this point to a lack of quality control, whether that's from insufficient training or not taking enough care when preparing orders. Poke isn't cheap, so when mistakes like this happen--especially more than once--it's incredibly disappointing. Sadly, this will likely be the last time I order from here.
