After eating at every Poki place near my work and surrounding areas I finally got to venture out a little further on my trip back from Huntington Beach. I spotted Poki Naya on my Yelp the night before, and planned my route carefully as to pass by there on my way back from running some errands. Poki Naya has all the same ingredients as all the other five million Poki places that are popping up. I went with my usual order of: large with white rice, shrimp, tuna, cucumbers, onions, avocado, crab meat, masago and green onions all tossed in "spicy" sauce and spicy mayo. The sauce is excellent, not too spicy, but has a nice little kick to it. The shrimp are nice whole shrimps, and not the tiny little ones either! All the other ingredients were pretty standard except the Tuna. I felt like the tuna was not up to par with what I usually get from Poki places. I felt like this tuna was really fatty or it was a little older as it did not have the nice smooth bite to it. Did I eat? Of course I did, I wouldn't be Feast Mode if I hadn't. I'm in town about once a month and everything I come I make sure to stop by and eat here. The first time I've ever tried Poke was here and it still continues to be the best one I've tried so far. The staff here is always nice and attentive. The food quality here is great and the variety is on point. The portions are great and the prices are affordable. I think this will be my new favorite go-to place for lunch! Work relocated to this area so I immediately went on Yelp to see what's around and noticed Poke Nayo as a standout. It stood out mainly because I've only tried a poke bowl once before and enjoyed it. This place is literally 4 minutes from work. Environment: Small- but not crammed. The flow seemed to be in good relation with guests coming in and dine-in quests finishing up and heading out. Clear glass counters to let you see the food options. Food: I call this place the Asian chipotle haha. The other poke place I went to you couldn't pick what goes in the bowl so it was fun to have the power of selection. What I ordered- large bowl which is $9.95 ($1.00 more than small size and with 2 additional toppings). Inside my bowl- brown rice, crabmeat, avocado, spicy tuna, salmon, spicy salmon, shrimp, scallops, masago egg and green onions. Spicy mayo sauce drizzled on top before they mix the meat and poured on top of my rice. It was so flavorful and the meat tasted fresh. This was a good large and fulfilling portion. Mmmm Staff: The girls behind the counter greeted me the moment they laid eyes on me which is good customer service. Funny I have to mention that because some places totally lack that common sense. I've walked into other places where the staff sees you and makes eye contact but won't even say 'hi' or 'welcome' (ughh RUDE!). There was one person in particular that stood out. There's a really cute guy with a small man bun that finished me off. I mean- he helped complete the order. What were you thinking? When I first saw him I thought "hmm hair goals". Went here with my boyfriend as we were recommended this place by a friend and it was close to my house. My boyfriend ordered a large with rice only and three scoops salmon two scoops of tuna with spicy mayo and the already included sesame oil and etc toppings that i don't feel like listing. I had ordered half white rice and half salad with the same fish and hot k sauce with spicy mayo on the side and etc toppings. They also failed to give me my spicy mayo on the side:( We both felt the quality wasn't great. The sauce almost had no taste and the hot K sauce was kind of weird and not really spicy. The quality of the fish wasn't as great as other poke places we've been to. I also noticed a lot of flies flying around the food and the workers kept shooing the flies away. It low key made me uncomfortable with how many flies were around as I watched them land on the bottles and such. Some of the food was covered in plastic wrap but majority wasn't. My parents go to this place all the time and always recommended it. I was in the area and have come down with something so some pho sounded good. Welllll I started to eat when I got home and the broth tasted like straight up SOAP. I had my husband try and he agreed that it was soapy. I tried calling them to let them know so they don't keep serving soapy pho broth and they must have their phone on a continuous ring because there was no answer. Husband's salmon was way too fishy. Shrimp isn't fresh. Ginger tasted old. There are high school kids working there comparing tattoos, while scooping up raw fish with unwashed hands and touching all over the glove before loosely putting it on. Located on the corner of Chapman and Knott. I've seen this place with a lot of customers every time I stopped by Arby's, so I knew I had to try it one day. Well, the day finally came and I was not disappointed. Generous portions for a great price! $9.99 for a regular (3 SCOOPS) and $10.99 (5 SCOOPS) for a large poke bowl! With just a $1 difference, it will do you no wrong to go for the large bowl. No extra charge for seaweed salad or avocado is a winner. What's even better is that the fish tastes fresh and is actually in chunks! And their spicy salmon isn't in some paste like texture. One of my pet peeves of poke bowls is when the fish chunks are so small, you don't really get a good taste of your protein but it is obviously not an issue here! Compared to other poke places, they may not have a lot of sauce options, but it's not really a big deal breaker for me. As long as the portions are generous, fish is fresh and the 1st scoop of avocado is included, I'm a happy camper! The girls working at the counter were also very sweet and were patient when I was trying to decide what other toppings I wanted to add to my bowl. Was my first here while I was getting my stereo interface upgraded, came in with no expectations but to my surprise the quality of fish and rice (which is very important) was greater than I imagined. Although the poke was great, the attendant was kind of stingy with the extra items I requested such as the masago and avocado while I was happy to pay the extra fee.. Older man behind the counter quite literally yelled at us TWICE when we pointed to what we wanted because we were apparently too close to the glass. He was so aggressive and rushed us through the order and mixed up which bowl got a rice base and which got a salad. A solid poki spot! There was a good selection of different kinds of fish and sides, and all components of the poki bowl were very neat and clean looking. Because it comes with sesame oil, I sort of was unable to get the flavor of the mild sauce I requested. But, the main issue I had was being unable to see the price of the bowls since the menu's prices on the overhead menu were blacked out! I wish I knew what was the price, because the receipt at the end surprised me quite a bit. Other than that, Poki Naya was a nice place to go to for a decent poki bowl. I seriously love poke from here! It's the best poke place in my opinion. The portion was huge! It was enough for me to share with my sister and the price was decent. I think the cilantro made it taste so much better too. With a regular bowl, you get to pick 3 different types of fish. We added everything for our sides and we added every sauce because we couldn't decide with one. An employee told us that we can mix the sauces and it's a popular option here so that's what we went for and it was amazing! We asked for extra ginger and the guy gave us so much in our bowl and also stacked a little side cup with lots of ginger! They're definitely not stingy with the sides so that's a good thing! Portions seem balanced and a good deal based on the price. My only qualm: 75 cents extra for a half-ounce ramekin of spicy mayo?!?! I went with the larger poke bowl today meaning I'm dropping $12 on a single meal. You can buy a massive tub of mayo at your local grocer for a few dollars, and the restaurant provides sriracha for free. 75 cents for what's probably a couple teaspoons of spicy mayo. Stopped at Poki Naya because we were in the mood for either sushi or poki and this was on the way home, so we figured it was worth a try. Parking is easy to find, the restaurant was uncrowded at dinner time on a Saturday, and the portion size was good. Poke Naya isn't the best poke I've had, but it is good. I probably wouldn't come back though, the sauces aren't good enough (I'm comparing them to Poke California in Brea). Food: it's the usual poke setup where you choose your base, toppings, proteins, and sauces. Small was $9.25 (3 scoops)and large was $10.50 (5 scoops)...so we obviously got larges I like choosing brown rice because it is more filling than salad, although it was not cooked evenly...which was disappointing. If you want extra avocado, crab meat, cucumber, or onion, you have to pay an extra $0.75 which I'm not willing to do. They have a good selection of protein, I liked shrimp and tuna...they tasted pretty fresh. I got original sauce with spicy mayo (which isn't crazy-spicy FYI) and was not blown away by the flavors. Service: the lady serving us was in a decent mood, but not as nice and friendly as I would expect in the food service industry. It wouldn't hurt to focus on being more welcoming. Ambiance: there is ample seating but this place doesn't seem like it will ever be crowded. The seating area is clean, which is a plus. read more

I been on a huge poke binge ever since I took my first bite of this delicious raw fish salad about a month or so ago. We decided to try Poki Naya out since its on our drive home from the gym. The reviews were not kidding...this place was excellent! Everything's fresh to order and the price for a large bowl with 5 toppings is a steal compared to other Poke joints. Friendly staff and very helpful when we asked about the different fish and extra toppings. Parking lot has plenty of spots also. We'll be back to try the Pho next time! read more

I feel so guilty for leaving such a low review, but I just had to let all of you Poke lovers know my experience. So I went in to grab a Large Poke Bowl which includes 5 scoops of fish. Yum. I was actually very pleased with my experience until I came home and started eating. Very well-priced Poke joint though. Just avoid the Salmon. Being a salmon lover, I opted for 2 scoops of salmon, 1 tuna, 1 spicy salmon and 1 spicy tuna. They had a decent amount of toppings for selection as well. I chose a spicy mayo sauce. So I was so excited to eat, because it looked so delicious! All of the toppings tasted very fresh. But the fish grossed me out. I mentioned I got 2 scoops of salmon... And the parts of the salmon they included doesn't seem appropriate to be served in Poke. They used a lot of the dark part of salmon and some pieces also had the scale-like part. Please refer to my pictures for reference. I only became suspicious of the salmon because some of them were not shaped in a cube form at all AND it tasted different from ones that actually LOOKED and tasted like decent salmon. They were tiny, thin slices. At least the tuna tasted fine! (Not sure if my mashed up spicy salmon contained the unappealing salmon parts though). Maybe I'll be back one day... But for now, I'll stick to other Poke places even if they are a little far. read more

Hopping on the poke band wagon today. First timer here! Poki Naya is on Knott/Chapman in a secluded plaza. I came in on Saturday afternoon and was surprised it was pretty dead. I like the mixed food fusion at this spot. They serve pho and poke. Smart idea to offer both for those who can't eat raw fish. All the poke spots have the same layout. "Subway" style...You pick the size and type of protein. Then choice of sauce to mix-in. Choose a base: rice, salad, chips, or half/half. Finally add the toppings. I got the usual again! Regular bowl-with rice and all salmon mixed with spicy sauce. Avocado, ginger, cucumbers, masago, green onions, and furikake (dried seaweed/sesame). Spicy mayo on the side for extra flavor. The verdict: Fish tasted fresh. Spicy sauce was meh. Spicy mayo was ok. No seaweed salad option. Ginger tasted kinda sweet. I don't like that! 3.5 stars total for food. Service was great!! If you never had poke before... you might think this place is good.... but sadly it's disappointing. My friend and I thought they were bold enough to serve pho and poke, the food must be decently good... but they're not. When walking in, there is no smell of fresh pho. The reason? Because it's not fresh. The beef is dry and over cooked brisket with no raw meat at all. The meat ball was ehhhhh. That's the first word that comes to mind. It was ehhhh... the pho is like pho cali... mediocre. Broth was average. Don't expect this place to wow you. Now as for the poke - it was okay. The sauces wasn't that good. I got the spicy mayo with spicy house sauce. It tasted weird..... salmon had a fishy taste to it. Since there's so many poke places popping up, everyone thinks they can do it.
