All have been 3-4 stars (even the ones I hadn't reviewed). A friend claimed she got food poisoning from the Wheaton Mall location, which surprised me as the food quality is high, but maybe that location fell short. I prefer some other locations over Wheaton Mall one. As for the Laurel location, this one is my favorite, and I've been somewhat often. I've never had any significant issue with them. The food quality is great. I'll get a 1/4 or 1/2 chicken with 2 sides like redskin mashed potatoes, Brussel sprouts, corn, fries, bread, etc. Staff is relatively nice here. I talked to the manager a couple of times about a couple of minor things, and manager is good here. One time in July 2025, I went for Mandela Day, and it was a madhouse as it was a free 1/4 chicken with fries. I was patient as I waited a while as they had dozens of people wanting the free chicken that Friday evening. My girlfriend was sadly ill that weekend; so I bon appetited on my own. Nando's reward program got worse; so I'm less motivated to schlep to Laurel just to get Nando's. However, if I was going to go with Nando's, I'd go with this one as Arundel Mills let me down last time. Service & food is always top notch at the Laurel location.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would definitely stop by again.

I've had three 3-stars here: Burger King, Bob Evan's, & Catherine's, 3 mixed bag reviews. This will mark my only truly negative Yelp review here (except China Express got 2-stars mainly because I consider it to be subpar Chinese food). My girlfriend & I were pissed at Charleys yesterday. My girlfriend & I have visited multiple times & been a few times on my own. We used to think this was a good option. We even had eaten here 2 weeks earlier on Sunday, July 26. We had a 25% off deal we were going to use on Sunday, August 10. We had a noon movie and arrived at opening time of 11 AM. First of all when we walked in, it was extremely hot in there. I know they just opened, but they should've gotten the A/C going as soon as the 1st person walked in to prep. I mentioned it to the cashier, and she said it'll cool off, but not in a reassuring way. Before we put the 25% discount in, the subtotal was $17.77 for the large chicken cheesesteak sub combo we would've split, over $18 with the tax. I said the menu shows it's $15.77. She rudely said it's the tax. I said no it's the menu shows $15.77 pointing at the menu. I said you aren't honoring the price listed on the menu, and we are walking out. We had the 25% off, but it's the principle of them not honoring the listed price on the menu. So, we ended up going to Shake Shack by AMC Columbia before our movie as we had a free chicken sandwich deal there, which was delicious. So, it'll be a long time before I'll consider going back to Charleys here in Anne Arundel County. Maybe I'll consider at Columbia Mall before or after a movie in the future or other location, but I don't generally like going to places that are near my home as I like going to places that aren't near my home like Shake Shack or Bibibop at Columbia Mall. But this is a situation where I might actually more consider a different Charleys location as I'm boycotting my local location for the timebeing. They lost potentially $100+ in future business from me; perhaps after enough time has passed a year or two, I'll maybe consider giving my Maryland City location another chance. Further, Howard County got the tax dollar from me on Sunday over my own AA County as a result of Charleys rude cashier.

They do this better than the big-name fast-food places! We also had a generous serving of crisp hot potato wedges, some fresh-tasting creamy cole slaw, and their always delicious savory collards. Upon entering, we were met with graffiti inspired artwork on the walls, which was cool. We perused the menu and decided to order. They have different levels of spice for your chicken and decided on an order that was mild (2 sandwich meal) , medium, (2 sandwich meal) and extra hot (I was warned by my daughter to rethink this option, but, alas, I did not heed her warning; 1 tender 1 sandwich meal). Saturday, January 20, 2024 was the coldest day that winter. I was chilling at home in the early afternoon, bundled up, and had planned on going to my favorite games Meetup group near BWI area. However, my car wouldn't start, and I thought it had to do with the battery in the key fob. I had gotten a ride from a neighbor up to Wal-Mart for a battery fob. Wal-Mart staff had told me it was right one, but when I got back, I realized it was the wrong one. I ended up walking in the cold & snowy ground from my home in Russett (it had just snowed several inches the day before) up to Wal-Mart as my one neighbor left and didn't see anyone else out there. Wal-Mart didn't have the right one, I walked up to Corridor Marketplace Target (didn't have either), and then ultimately the auto parts store here in the Shoppers center to get the car key fob battery. It was dark outside and didn't want to walk home in the dark & even colder. So, first I ate dinner at America's Best Wings since it was convenient in the same center. Staff was cordial answering my questions. I got 15 wings, 3 different flavors. Wings were decent, but I was disappointed, these were these deep fried wings. I was thinking they wouldn't be breaded like one might get at Buffalo Wild Wings. I couldn't remember as it had been maybe 7 years earlier since I went to one. The place wasn't very clean with windows stretched up. This is not a place I'd necessarily go back to unless I ended up getting coupon mailers or some deal to get me back in the door. As for my car situation, I ended up taking a Lyft back to my home $8 to only go 1-mile (rip-off), but what choice did I have as it was dark & very cold out. I got back to the car and new key fob battery fit this time. However, the car still wouldn't start. I determined it must be the car battery itself. I got at the time Allstate (switched to State Farm weeks later for issues with Allstate unrelated to this) for their essentially triple A service to check the battery and to have towed on a place open on Sunday. My weekend was partially derailed but my Sunday was redeemed when they replaced my battery. I'll always associate America's Best Wings here with that bad memory and won't rush back over here.

The turkey burger was so good, but the wings definitely had me questioning why I forgot about them! They were cooked perfectly, not a questionably large size, and the sauce was perfect. I need to verify they have a certificate next time I go (my husband is muslim, but the order was just for me that day, so I was not as vigilant), but it's good to have them as a halal option for some good wings in the area! My main gripe is the price. I paid $1 for a side of mambo sauce that came in a tiny cup and the wings with fries meal and a drink was $22. Also, I their ice tea and lemonade tasted very artificial. So no more side sauces, ice tea, or lemonade for me, but I will continue to get my wings and fries despite the price!

But my Wife insisted a refund, so I obliged. I called first, and told them my issue. I was told that if I wanted a refund I would have to come back to the carry out so I did. When I got there, a female cook of Asian descent asked me to open the container to which I did. She said she couldn't see the hair, even though I pointed it out to her. She then asked the cashier if she could see the hair, to which she replied: Yes, but it's super small. As if that made it any less unsanitary. The cook then said, it must've come from you, and pointed to my 5 o'clock shadow for a beard! I was shocked & offended, for one bc I barely have a beard, that particular dish wasn't even my meal, and just the audacity to imply that I would do something as disgusting as placing hair in my food to get a refund. It was super insulting. Again, I'm at an age where I'm not going to be arguing with anyone publicly. Especially over a $14 meal. But I didn't inform her that I have much better things to do then be going back & forth about chicken. She then told me that I could not have a refund, but she would make me more food, which I told her earlier that the site of the hair turned my daughters stomach and she was no longer hungry. I accepted the replacement bc something is better than nothing & after a long work day, I just didn't have the energy to continue to fight, but man am I disappointed in the customer service, the lack of respect for regular patrons, and my overall experience.
