I've had regios from different locations and I've always been satisfied with the service and food. However this location seem to always disappoint. It usually just happens at the drive thru. Although their service is pretty quick indoors, the drive thru is like a 25 minute wait. In addition, they seem to always get the order wrong. For instance, today my boyfriend ordered raw onions for a side, and made sure he repeated it so that there wasn't a misunderstanding, but they still gave him a side of grilled onions. I understand that people are not perfect and mistakes can happen, but this kind of mistake has happened to us more than once here. Not only us but to others from what I read from previous yelp reviewers about this location. I don't recommend this establishment over the other El Pollo Regio locations, especially their drive thru. read more

This place has the best barbacoa tacos I have ever had. You get with 6 or 7 with your order (I can't remember) and they cost about 7$. Great food for a great price. I gave it 4 stars because they charge extra for sour cream and sometimes they forget to put the cilantro and lime in my order, lol read more

My favorite go to place when I want that homemade backyeard grill taste. I went by yesterday around 8:45 & when I pulled up the workers stared at us like "uh, not another customer" i had already checked and they don't close till 10. The lady at the cashier took our order but seemed impatient and ready to go, also I didn't know this but they limited the number of to go containers we could use for the salsa. Came for 3 half chicken told the cashier if they could have cook it more this is not the first time it happens where I asked them to cook it more and they just get it from the heater and say that it was "cooked more", I had to cook it even more when I got home because we like it to be crispy somewhat burnt not soft all because they decided it was easier to get it from the heater I'm guessing. read more

Me and my friend came here for the potatoes when we got here the first person told us they were out and didn't have any. So we ordered something else and sat in the dining area we had been there for a few minutes when someone else came in to replace the first person new customers came in and all the sudden they now have potatoes. We really only came for the potatoes I don't quite understand why they didn't have them whenever we ask for them. They didn't get a truck and nobody came in with any the first person just lied to us for some un-obvious reason. When I went here. I wanted to see what grilled chicken would taste like. The whole chicken was dry. like over cooked dry. it was a bit disappointed but the side items are good. I loved the rice. It came with tortillas. So basically like a fijita. I thought that was pretty cool. Togo fajita. I liked the grilled veggies it comes with too. I think their batch of chicken I got was dry. Today I went to the pollo regio on south cooper st in Arlington and first thing the drive through speaker is out of working order. So not only do you have to wait to get to the window to order you still have to wait for your order after placing it so after a few minutes a girl came out of the door next to the drive-through window and just stood next to my car didn't ask me hi how can I help you or sorry about the wait or what can I get for you today? So I then looked at her and told her what I wanted assuming that's why she came outside she gave me my total I gave her my money she then walked to the car behind me after that she went back in. I then waited till I got to the window a few minutes pass by she opens it and hands me my money scrunched up in a ball again she said nothing and then I wait 10 more minutes for my order she opens the window and hands it to me again she says nothing not thank you not have a nice day not come back and See us nothing! We prefer this smaller El Regio on Cooper Street over the larger one on Pioneer. The chicken on Cooper St seems to have more fresh flavor. Too bad they don't offer the red onions and habenaros mixture like they do at the Pioneer location. This location is too small to have a side bar. An order of a half of a chicken is a lot if food for today and tomorrow. The rice is salty but flavorful. It tastes a lot like Rice A Roni. It is really tasty if you mix hot Rotel with it. I enjoy coming here when I want to treat mysel, but I do not like the dangerous u-turn that I have to make to go back north on Cooper St. read more

Went in today for lunch, we kept passing this place and decided to try I today. I ordered the chicken mole and it was very good. My husband ordered the tacos and ate them all before I could ask for a bite. He said they were good. We ordered a chicken quesadilla for the boys and it was kinda dissapointing. If we wanted a pile of chicken with a little bit of cheese it might have been just right, but for kids needed less meat and more cheese. Ordered three meals for the four of us and went home with enough for another two people. Value was great! read more

i decided to beat the lunch crowed and walked in this location at around 11:30 am . as usual , i made a visit to the washroom to wash my hands before beginning my dining experience . the bathroom was somewhat unkempt , but I've seen worse . i informed the cashier that the toilet would not flush and she kindly told me that it was broken and would be fixed . i saw only one dirt table but for the most part the dinning room was pretty clean and in order. the cashier Cecilia was super friendly and attentive . the mesquite grilled chicken and beans were totally delicious . i probably will visit this locale in the future , if i'm in the mood for mesquite roasted chicken . read more

There was about a half inch of beans in the bottom and the rest was all juice and chunks of fat. Have had their beans before and think they are great. Don't know what the deal was today. Service - not great. I may have been an interruption to her day. Guacamole was the worst I have ever had. Flavorless and an odd really light green color. Had some onion chunks in it but that is all I could taste and I LOVE avocadoes. I know what good guacamole tastes like. I had a bowl of the charro beans and that was the only good thing I received a small container with yellow cold liquid that had no description on it. Since I am allergic to cheese - I called the restaurant and their phone service was so bad I could not understand her. Thinking it was MY cell phone that was bad - I called her from a land line and I still could only understand about every third word. She said it was habanero sauce - I think. I was not impressed by this restaurant. I have not tried the chicken but will not waste my time going back. I will probably not try this chain again - and I like chicken. read more

They take for ever to get the food out, not only is the service horrible, the Assistant manage Melissa definitely needs to go back for training. She is very rude and unprofessional.
