Local favorite. Great place to have a good mea that's cost efficient. If your having a cold, and need a picker upper, their Tropical Caribbean Chicken Soup will do the trick. I've usually had them when I've been sick and it hits the spot. Love their chicken breast value meal, brown rice, corn and also the citrus chicken salad. Both great options for eating healthy. Great sauces for the food is a plus, along with the spicy Pollo Pollo sauce. Place is always well kept and clean, and usually always busy. I had gone to this location to get my lunch. I had ordered a chicken quesadilla with French fries and plantains and some cilantro sauce on the side . Horrible service. Drive through lane was insanely long in addition to the employee eating while taking orders. We ordered 2 chicken avocado bowls. The lettuce was brown and obviously old, the tomatoes were rotten. Who is overseeing this establishment? Where do I even start, I go here often atleast 3 times a week. In the last three times I've gone 100% of the time your order is incorrect. The worse part is I get home and the chicken is completely burnt and dry. Every single time I order without tomatoes they put tomatoes. I get a tropichop and they add the lettuce first and put the beans and rice on top of the lettuce it gets completely soggy and wilted. I didn't feel like cooking tonight, so I placed an order through DoorDash and was SUPER disappointed with the food. The chicken I ordered for my hubby and kids was completely burnt and tiny compared to other times we've had Pollo Tropical. I also ordered a Trio platter of Shrimp, mojo pork and ribs. The Doordash driver contacts me and says the restaurant is out of shrimp, so I had them sub for chicken. When it arrived all I got was the chicken and the ribs. Looking at ratings saw that people haven't been to kind to Pollo Tropical, but let's look at the facts... Yes, it's a fast food restaurant chain, so why compare it to good upscale restaurants. If you go to Pollo Tropical is because your in too much of hurry to hit the many awesome restaurants we have in Miami. Also if not for this place, were would you go McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell? This has to be the worst Pollo Tropical, we waited 20 minutes in the drive through only to be told that the chicken is still cooking and that it will be 20 minutes more for the chicken. No consideration on the part of the restaurant to tell those waiting so long what's going on. Always a problem at this location, if it's not the crappy customer service, it's the wait if it's not the wait it's the missing items when you get home or being charged for something you didn't order. I'm not one to write reviews but today I am very upset after waiting a ridiculous amount of time in the drive thru, I come home and everything about the order is wrong. Yuca bites are freezing; ordered 3 tropi chops and neither of them were prepared as we ordered. Two of them were the new avocado bowls and the avocado was not to be seen. We're lucky if we even got 2 slivers. All 3 bowls had maybe 3 bites of chicken with the rest of the bowl just being rice and beans. read more

Worst and slowest drive thru service! No matter what time of day you go the wait time is minimum 30 minutes to even get to place your order. I would hate to see how long it would take if they were to ever consider doing Uber eats or any food delivery service. Rice has been undercooked, they always give me the wrong thing, today I picked up a side of large beans only and they were completely without salt or any condiments. Terrible service !!! Waited half an hour through the drive through. Once up to the ordering speaker and waiting for someone to come on , they respond with one second please. That was another 5 minutes. Once they came back we asked what was included in the trio. After a pause they say " one second please " (another 5 minutes)! At this point we are frustrated and hungry so we just ask for what we already know that we like. Once we get up to the window, we ask for mojo sauce and cilantro sauce.... guess what .... they are out of both. So we asked the guy at the window, "what sauce were you planning on giving us the"? This Pollo Tropical is currently giving me false information. They have a sign on the outside of the store talking about corn fritters and when I ask if I could have some corn fritters, they say that they no longer sell the food item. Why would they have a sign advertising corn fritters if they aren't selling them anymore. Additionally, I have also experienced a very unappreciated waiting. I was told by the person that sold me my food that I was to wait outside in the car until my food was brought to me. My daughter asked if this was new or something. I was waiting for over 30 minutes before my food was brought to me. What type of fast food place would make you wait outside - without a receipt - for someone to give the food. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. The customer service is TERRIBLE. And they are providing me with FALSE HOPE. Do not go to this pollo tropical. Went to this pollo tropical because it near my home and for a week they have been out of lettuce. If you want a simple Caesar Salad please don't stop at this location. You wait in line forever only to find out they are still out of lettuce among other items on the menu. Unfortunately this is the closest Pollo Tropical to my place. Every time I go something is wrong eith my order: for example, something is missing or the chicken is burnt. Yesterday I went to get the St Patrick's special (2 family meals for $19.99) and when I get there the guy who was taking the orders by the drive through line didn't know about the special. It was on tv all weekend and we even received a promotional email! Anyway, once I got to the window I mentioned it to the cashier and he did know about the offer but he made me go back home to get the email so the discount could be applied to my order. I wonder what happened to those customers who saw the offer on tv! So I went back home, made the drive through line again, placed the order with the guy taking the orders by there, and then he came to tell me they run out of chicken!!! Fortunately I had already ordered my food, but seriously, Pollo Tropical ran out of pollo?????? Long story short, I also asked for a large side of fries and a large side of balsamic tomatoes, and guess what??? They forgot to include the fries!!!! A staff of incompetent kids. I've come three times in the past two weeks, and the I've either gotten cold food, or wrong orders. No beans= extra beans, a Caesar salad doesn't come with dressing or croutons just a styrofoam container of lettuce.
