My wife and I regularly easy at this location. They have great table service and everybody is very friendly. The Oviedo location is really the cleanest of any in central Florida. It's also unique in that, if you dine in, you're served on non disposable plates and given actual flatware, rather than plastic. The food is very good, given that it is fast food; and I believe you have more healthy options at a lower price than traditional fast food joints like the burger places. spent 23 dollars on two salads. my whole office buys from this place, but we all have noticed that the ceasar salads have less and less lettuce by the minute. paying such a price for a salad should at least mean that you will have lettuce. it has been like that for a few months. Incredible pollo tropical. Of course the food is insanely good. Try the 1/4 chicken, tropi chop with all the toppings, or chicken sandwich with Chipotle sauce. For sides, you can't beat the plantains. The only thing not to order are the smoothies, which are too sweet. Since other Pollo Tropical locations are so busy, sometimes they might be a little dirty on the edges. Recently I went through the drive through to order a chicken dinner. When I got it home, it was white meat that was way, way overcooked. The scrawny wing was so overdone that it was almost impossible to get off any meat. The breast was extremely dry. I have had trouble in the past with errors in what I ordered at the drive through. Do they put all the meat into to go boxes that they don't think would go over for people in the restaurant? After all, once you get home it's too late to complain. I'll think twice before going back there as much as I love the meals that are properly cooked. read more

This place is the fuego-ist fuego. Last night, right before close, my girl and I stopped by to eat to make sure they had to wait until the very last minute to leave. If the dining room hadn't closed at 10, we really would have been those assholes that everyone hates in a restaurant. It's not that we suck, it's that you can't put a time and a place on gains. They come when they feel like it, and 10:55pm last night was when they were coming. So we drive through, order from a girl with the best personality I've experienced in fast-food. We make sure to inform her that we want every sauce they have and a lot of it, because their sauce is that bae. When we drove up to the window, her shirt read "Chicks Rule." I had to agree, because she ended up hooking it the F**K up on sauces, our picky-ass specific orders(because gains) and she made us feel nothing like the assholes we were being at the moment. Today I decided to be brave and try Pollo Tropical once again after being disappointed in the past at the same location between roaches in the dining room and the chicken looking undercooked, I gave it another stab.(I don't know why) Today Pollo Tropical lost a customer. As I was eating my chicken quesadilla wrap, not only was the chicken texture weird, but I also found myself playing tug of war with a long black hair that was embedded within the wrap. With it being our first time eating at Pollo Tropical, it took forever to decide what we wanted. I'm glad it was not busy so we were not holding up the line. The kiddos decided in no time, but the adults had to check out everything. After we ordered, found the table, got our drinks, they were bringing out our food. The food was so very good and all you could hear around the table was Mmmmm!! The family was already planning our next trip to eat here before we left. Very fast service! Super friendly staff! The restaurant is very clean along with the bathrooms. The only problem I had was on my chicken sandwich, there was way too much sauce but that can easily be corrected with ordering it on the side next time. They did offer the wet wipes to clean up with afterwards and I understand why. If you would like a drink with your meal, they serve beer and wine which was neat but we went with the mango tea! The most recent trip included 6 tables that had not been cleaned of food scraps, plates, and silverware and only 5 parties eating in the restaurant. Grabbed a quick lunch and it was the first P.T. we've been to in Central Florida. There were about a dozen people eating and only one ahead of us on line. Two young ladies were taking the orders and one young lady was delivering to the tables and doing "bus-boy" services. The food was actually pretty good and delivered to our table in a timely manner. However, adjacent to us was a vacated table where apparently a group of ill-mannered swine had dined. I have seen authentic pig troughs and they were immaculate by comparison. It makes me wonder about other humans...and I use that term very loosely. There was food all over the floor, under the table, on the table, all over the booth seats and it was disgusting. The reason I'm giving the establishment 3 stars is because they were understaffed. The poor gal who was seemingly responsible for everything in the dining area, started to clean up the mess. It was impossible as she had to stop and deliver food plus handle the bus-boy chores. She finally put red cones around the area and gave up. Who could blame her? A HAZMET team needed to be called in for that whole corner!!!!! The offending swine should be placed on a banned list. read more

I normally don't complain about food places because usually I go back and it is just a simple mistake or it's something that gets fixed but not in this case. Literally this is the second time I've gone there in a Monday/Tuesday night and it's a specific girl working the drive through that looks totally spaced. I recognized her from last time when I pulled up and was thinking to myself definitely have to check the bag since this gem is working since she forgot my water, my sauce, and my messed up my order last time. Sure enough checked the bag and had to ask for the sauce (expected that one). Then also forgot the waters. The entire conversation she is like looking off into space in my direction so I asked her if she's talking to me or the drive through, (it was the drive through) then staring at the same direction with the same tone with the same body language mumbles something to me and I had to ask if she was talking to me and to please repeat because whatever she said was completely indecipherable. read more
