First, this is a food truck. I want to note that for anyone looking during summer. It's located on the side of a convenience store. My experience wasn't great. It was during week for my lunch hour. We ended up waiting just over half an hour for a burrito and a quesadilla. I'm not sure what happened because of the language barrier, but there were people getting their food who ordered after us and it was frustrating during a lunch "hour," so I assume our order wasn't given a priority. There are some benches to sit and eat behind a net, but that's about it. That being said the food was actually well portioned and tasty. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement, I'm like beyond pissed off. I was super excited to try this place because of the reviews, portions and price; but baby no!! I asked for a steak burrito...get home all happy doing my happy dance and take a bite...man WTF?!? This burrito is full of shit that I ain't ask for. Not a piece of steak in sight, instead it's full of pork (which I'm fasting from BTW) hot dog pieces, chorizo, and soggy ass pork skin. Oh and don't get me started on the massive amount of white rice and canned beans. ‍ I asked for limes, they gave me lemons which do NOT taste the same. Really great spot! Tacos were yummy, staff was very friendly and accommodating with my broken Spanish! I got two breakfast tacos: potato and egg with cheese on flour, and a papa a la Mexicana on corn with the salsa verde. Both tacos were yummy and extra points for HANDMADE CORN TORTILLAS!! Just got to say it, this is the best burrito in Austin. We love a good burrito but nothing compares to the punch of flavor that Pollos brings you. The al pastor tacos were incredible and came with a blistered jalapeno. I ate up every last bite. My girlfriend got the burrito. Without us asking, an employee saw that her burrito was ripping and called us back over so they could rewrap it and cut it for us. Awesome little food truck next to a gas station. The person working was super helpful and offered to put nopales or potatoes in our vegetarian burrito since we didn't want meat. While the food was completely delicious, my Pollo Asado Burrito was filled with chicken bones creating a dangerous situation. When you eat a bone-in piece of chicken you're expecting to deal with bones. In a shredded chicken burrito? Never. 3 of the bones were massive (3") including an in-tact wishbone and a full breast bone. Another bone was shattered and a 4th smaller one(2") was present. It's a good thing I was eating slow and chewing carefully. I understand that mistakes happen, but you simply cannot be this careless. This sort of mistake could seriously hurt someone. As for the food, everything was delicious. The tinga sopes were our favorite, followed by the pastor tacos and then the pollo Asado Burrito. Despite the unexpected bones, the burrito had nice flavor and composition, though the chicken was a bit dry. The salsa had tons of flavor, but be warned they are on the spicy side. For us that's perfect. I really would like to give this place a higher rating but Im not sure I can until I confirm that I didn't eat a burrito bone that causes problems. read more

We were looking for a great dog friendly spot to get a quick bite to eat before hitting the road again on our cross country journey. We needed gas AND food, so this little taco truck parked next to the Shell station was perfect. Not only did we get gas, we got some of the best tacos we've had in a long time. Everyone working here was super friendly. It is dog friendly-just eat on the patio area. We hung out while the chef made them to order. It was fresh and well worth the quick wait. My bf got the pollo taco, and a burrito. FYI-the burrito was massive, it's probably the size of a small child. He loved every bite of everything I got three al pastor tacos and they were divine. The green and red chili's were amazing too. Definitely a spot I wish we could go to again! Maybe if we ever end up in Austin again we will. read more

This place is another great hole in the wall! We drive by this area all the time and didn't know it existed, but thanks to other Yelpers I got a chance to try it out. Every place offers their own version and flavor. We tried the carnitas burrito, pastor torta and beef fajitas platillos. Carnitas burrito - carnitas was crispy and tasted like bacon. Stuffed with rice, beans, a little cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. Added avocado for $1 Pastor torta - Pastor was flavorful and moist. Filled with lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese and pickled jalapenos. We can't eat spicy, so picked out the jalepenos. Beef fajitas platillos - the meat texture was a bit tough, but flavorful. Comes with rice, beans and tortillas (hand made according to the sign). All items were delicious, but if I had to pick, I'd recommend the carnitas - mouth is salivating just thinking about it! We plan to go back to explore more of the menu. The food is good and fresh, I just don't think worth the money. For each taco you have to pay 50¢ per taco for each avocado. I was automatically thinking cause it was a taco truck it would sell the tacos on Corn Tortilla. I'm not a huge fan of flour tortillas on my street tacos. Best little taco truck in town! This is my go to when I'm craving a bomb chicken burrito. It can be hard to miss since this is in the gas station parking lot. But don't let that fool you, this place is amazing. They have delicious chicken burritos and chicken quesadillas. Their green sauce and red sauce are yummy. The red sauce is really spicy, so don't go overboard on the sauce. Unless you love a good kick! Ordering is pretty easy and it doesn't take too long to get your food. They do have a small area to wait outside or you can always wait in your car. Only day this place is closed is on Sundays. This is one of 3 little food trailers in the parking lot of Macedo Tire Service, all of which, oddly perhaps, have very similar menus. This is the second of the three that I've tried and stellar. I hope a couple of sopes (no cheese) when I really should have just ordered one. Big, filling and freshly made. It was a bit of wait (no complaint) as the chef was making everything from scratch - even the salsa. I had a chicken and a beef. The beef was a smoky brisket. Very good flavor on both and a steal at $3 each. Actually I ate the chicken and tasted the beef as I was so stuffed. I gave the 98% to a co-worker. I went back the next day and had another beef but it wasn't brisket-y. It was chopped (not ground) beef and was also very good. I forgot to ask for no cheese so I had to pick it off but if you like cheese, there's a fair amount. Seems to be a mozzarella of some kind. There was hardly a wait this time. The sope (a thick tortilla - like a Mexican pita) was amazing. Hearty, homemade corn cake. It's hard to find a good tortilla, much less a sope, and when you do, you know the difference. The whole shebang has beans, choice of meat, lettuce, tomato (actually slices), avocado (a bit), and cheese. The trailer is immaculately clean, brightly painted in orange, and they've got 2 picnic tables for "dine in". I'm very surprised that there's not more business going on - except the tire shop - as at least two of these three are excellent, cheap options and worth going just for the food. I was getting my oil changed over at Mario's Inspections and this was a perfect place to have a nice meal. I have yet to try the tacos and tortas and they even have pozole. The hours are unpredictable as I think moms with young kids run at least 2 of these places but don't worry - if this one is closed, the one right next to it is probably open. And just as good. I know at least one is open by at least noon and to at least 6pm I'll definitely be back. read more

If you don't, there's a gas station too, where I guess you can get some chips and a milk if you hate delicious food trucks. BUT...if you do like all that stuff, there's also a car wash in this parking lot that can help you clean the unavoidable crumbs and meat-bits that will fall from your clumsy mouth and get stuck under your seats and down deep in the crevices of your car.
