Been going to POM for several years. Service is excellent and food very good. Lately, have been encountering a number of flies while eating. There will be easily two to three flies buzzing and landing on our food. This is throughout the meal. Instead of the service and food, we recall the flies on our last visit. We have introduced friends to POM and taken out of town guest for dinner. With guests coming soon, I cannot consider taking them to POM. read more

I am always suspicious of casino food, and was very nervous about an Indio Casino "casual dining" restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by the Pom restaurant. We went with the entire family for our "goodbye timeshare not in Palm Springs dinner" which meant I was already apologizing to the waitstaff for the comedy that was about to start at our table. Karen, our server, was so nice and patient, they must get a lot of big crazy family types here. I don't think we ordered a bad dish the whole evening. We started with the White Wine Sangria which was delicious and fruity, and mostly responsible for my headache the next morning. We ordered most of the menu. The beet salad was really good, although I found the combination of beets and goat cheese fritter strange. Separately, yummy. Cast iron Skillet Chicken Pot Pie has to be the most recommended item on the menu. Delicious, it comes with the puff pastry served on top, and is thick and creamy and full of goodness. I had the Mediterranean Salmon, which was standard, and the risotto made me sad, because it was more like rice pilaf then anything else. We had the Indian Fry Bread, the Fries, the Mussels, and several salads at the table. All were given thumbs up by the collective family. The best part was that Karen, our server, met the requests of all of our very needy parents, and all with a smile. At the end of the evening she brought my niece a candy cane and had changed into a little elf outfit. Very sweet. If you are looking for an upscale type restaurant without fine dining prices and genuinely nice people, come to Pom, its a great place in the middle of the desert. read more

i dont mean to sound like a restaurant snob, but this place seems like its trying hard to be something its not. upon arrival it looks nice, elegant and borderline ritzy. felt underdressed at first. we got seated and the hostess put napkins onto our laps. (hence my assumption of it being ritzy). ooh la la fancy. prices were decent. however, if we didnt have the food voucher thing i dont think i wouldve spent my money here. we got the calamari appetizer, GROSSSSSSSS. it had some sort of spaghetti tasting sauce which was a horrible accent to it. a total bummer, i hate wasting food but we ended up tossing it later. for an entree i got the spinach/mushroom omelette (breakfast for dinner option). this is going to sound weird, but my first reaction after eating it was "its too perfect. an omelette should taste like an omelette". there was almost no taste to it whatsoever, when all i wanted was a greasy eggy cheesey omelette. the menu wasnt tiny but i feel like it didnt really offer much of a variety. our waitress was pretty awesome, and the vibe was alright. i just wasnt too pleased with the food. bleh. read more

Oh I like it here! Nice place to meet a friend, catch up, have a nice dinner! Appetizer and a drink is nice too! Food is always good. Recently, my friend and I sat nearby a group of people that thought they were at a sports bar. They should have sat at the nice bar they have, dang people! This has only happened that one time. Our waiter was also missing in action for sometime (old guy). I like this place, because it's a nice place (borderline fancy), for the most part quit, and their prices are reasonable. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great, no matter whether you go during breakfast, lunch, or dinner the place is spacious and the high ceilings make it airy and luxurious feeling. During breakfast- lunch is gives off a country club vibe and when it's hits dinner time, the place defiantly is more fancy; although not as fancy as the next door restaurant the bistro. The steak and eggs were good and comes with a lot of food. Although, the bread gets soaked up in the steal juices that tasted more burnt than juicy. The fries were great and comes with the meal. My cousin loved her chicken and avocado sandwich but liked it better after waiting for the herb mayo to soak into the bread. But my sister wasn't satisfied with her meal and thought it tasted flavorless, she got one of the pastas. Last time I came here my cousin ordered the fettuccini Alfredo which tasted flavorless. I don't recommend you order the pastas here unless it's the ravioli (which is what i got last time.) The only downside is that they added a bit too much dried tomatoes to the dish. Gabriel was our server. Ask for him. Very attentive. Ambiance was open and quiet. No smoke smell at all. If weather permits, sit outside. Cocktails were spot on and only $9. Guacamole appetizer was well made. Filet was lacking in flavor, as well as the New York strip. Sautéed spinach was very good. Steak fajitas were tough and flavorless. Yummy desserts. Went here for my cousin's Bridal Shower Brunch. The restaurant was very nice and the staff even better! The food was excellent! I have to give POM only three stars, the food was excellent as it was on our last visit but the service is horrible. We were seated after a brief wait for dinner and greeted promptly and then it went down hill. We later found out our server was new, perhaps that warning should come at the beginning of the meal instead with the apologies of the manager, We ordered our food and I was served my soup, loaded baked potato -thick and yummy, but the other members of my party did not get their salads. Then our meals arrived along with the salads which there was no way we could eat a hot meal and our salads especially because there was no room on the tiny table for all those dishes. The restaurant was not crowded and it appeared to be adequately staffed, but just not at our table. I had the Cuban Paella, it was delicious. It had a nice assortment of scallops, muscles fish and was very flavorful. I would have this again. One member of our party ordered the chicken appetizers and the shrimp Caesar salad, the chicken was crispy and the dipping sauces were a nice addition,but the salad was iceberg lettuce and came with no dressing, it took a while to get the dressing so she ate the shrimp and that was about it. One member had the mushroom ravioli which was a generous portion and she said it was not as good as described in the menu. The last member of our party had salmon and said it was good. We then sat for more than 15 minutes waiting to be checked on with our finished plates in front of us, we had to hunt down the hostess to get our check. Our sever shows up with the check and asks if we would like dessert we declined and then a bussed came for our dishes to clean the plates that had now sat in front of us for 20 minutes, I asked to see the manager. The manager came and apologized for the service and explained our server was new and perhaps required additional training, YEP she did need more training! She also apologized for us not accepting the desserts that were offered on the house, unfortunately our server failed to tell us the dessert she was offering was on the house....will we come back, yes! We hope it will be better guess we will wait and see read more

We had breakfast. It was really good. Great, friendly service. We had the Almond French Toast (cinnamon swirl brioche, almond crust, banana foster flambé, powdered sugar, maple syrup) ... it didn't need the maple syrup...it was perfect without it. We also had the corned beef hash with eggs. It was also tasty. The energy of the room was calm and relaxing. Maybe because there weren't any loud kids, just adults. It was very pleasant. We were staying at the hotel. We'll be staying elsewhere next time we are in Indian Wells...but I'm glad we had such a nice experience at POM. read more

So disappointed! Used to come here quite often about 3 years ago. Came tonight with my family and we were very let down. The menu had changed and my favorite dish (fettuccini Alfredo) had been removed. The pastas available that we ordered had no flavor. My filet was tender, but the port wine sauce was so sweet and it made the steak taste like candy. Service was okay. The appetizers and salads were very good, but we probably won't be returning. Had breakfast this morning. The restaurant wasn't busy but yet it took over 25 minutes to get the meal. When we did get it-two of our orders were wrong. Couldn't get it fixed though as we didn't see our waitress again! No refills, wrong food and Horrible customer service. Lovely dinner for six before a concert at the resort. Comfortable setting, friendly and attentive wait staff and great menu with a wide variety of interesting things to eat. The glazed salmon was delicious. Others at our table had the sea bass, southern fried chicken and the open faced turkey sandwich. All the dishes we ordered were massive in portion. Also had some appetizers: the mozzarella lollipops and the firecracker shrimp. Ended our meal with a surprise birthday slice of cake and candle for someone at our table which was a nice touch. Make reservations! We made ours six weeks ahead of time and had to come earlier than we had wanted as they were already booked for the evening. Will definitely go there again. read more

We have eaten at the Pom Restaurant several times before and have always enjoyed it. Until Saturday night before the Hall and Oates concert. The main reason we go there is for their Bang Bang Shrimp, which we ordered this time as well. There was no Bang in the Bang Bang Shrimp. It was clearly lacking in whatever spices they use for this dish. We asked our waitress about it and she asked the chef, who said it tasted fine to him and it was what they always do. As if this dish wasn't disappointing enough, the prime rib dinner was barely warm when it arrived. Prime rib was barely warm, potato could barely melt the butter and the stuffed tomato was cold. All in all, we'll probably eat somewhere else before the next concert. read more

This was my first visit this restaurant. We were greeted immediately and seated quickly. We were quickly served chilled water with our menus. I ordered the "Surf and Turf" stroganoff. While waiting for my meal, I was served warm bread sticks and butter. My meal arrived in relatively short order. My first impression is that I was surprised by the portion size, suffice to say I couldn't finish. Noodles were done well and the sauce flavorful without being too salty, the "turf" was tender and tasty, the shrimp were done well and there were plenty in the dish. My wife and I ate at the POM for breakfast and late dinner. Breakfast was not bad. We both ordered the California Frittata but felt the food needed seasoning. The toast was soggy with butter. The morning server was prompt and courteous. We decided to try Bingo for the first time and realized that we would not make it for the 8pm dinner reservation. I went to change the reservation and the hostess was really polite but noted that Open Table.com did not set our reservation with them. When we returned for our late dinner we were seated near the bar area. There was not a lot of people there. The waiter for our table was really polite and accommodated us on what we needed or asked. My wife ordered a Manhattan on ice and it was strong and very good. We both ordered the surf n turf which included 5 shrimp as well as prime beef and asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. The meat was seasoned perfect and melted in my mouth. The potatoes had nice flavor as did the asparagus and shrimp. This as their "special" for the evening. If I return to Fantasy Springs Resort then the POM would be a high on the list of eating dinner or late night. read more

Live in town. Frequent the rock yard and visit the Pom often enough. Usually have the meat loaf dinner and is probably the best in the valley. Very generous portions. BBQ Thursday is also very good. read more

My daughter-in-law and I were disappointed in the service and our meal on 9/11. The waitress brought my salad before our appetizer arrived. We ordered the "bangin shrimp" that supposed to be spicy. It was served warm over a bed of lettuce and had a sweet mayo based sauce on it:( My halibut was not fresh and was over cooked. My daughter-in-law 's filet was also over cooked and sub-par. When my salad arrived the second time, it was soggy and swimming in bleu cheese dressing that had a sweet taste :( Neither of us finished our dinner because it was so bad. I'm usually willing to let it slide but we paid $100 for a very bad meal. I have always enjoyed the good service and atmosphere at Pom, but not this time. Sorry but the food at POM is not good compared to the price you pay! My husband and I had the BBQ special on our first experience there...it was not good (cold slaw was old, potato salad was from a store bought container and there was very little meat on the plate! We walked away still hungry! We agreed to give POM another try so we went for the Italian Dinner. Yuk...it was tasteless, very little meat and not good! We vowed we would not return! Both meals had NO flavor, were overcooked and had very little meat! Save your money and order something else or go elsewhere. POM definitely needs to get a NEW Chef and a NEW menu!
