Tried to get takeout from here on Saturday night but it was an hour wait. I was bummed but figured it had to be good if it was that in demand. Came back on a Monday and only had to wait 20 minutes. There's very little seating so we brought it back to our vacation rental. We ordered an XL plain cheese pie, well-done, and somehow managed to eat almost all of it. The sauce was plentiful, the crust was crispy, and the cheese was tasty without being greasy. This is what NY style pizza should taste like. We've definitely found our go-to pizza place when we're in the area. read more

This is the best authentic Italian brick-fired pizza in the entire Bethany Beach area (and dare I say it?...the entire Coastal Highway beach area spanning MD and DE). We ordered the margherita prosciutto which was absolutely AMAZING. The marinara sauce was tangy and not too sweet, the buffalo mozzarella was not piled too high on the pizza, they use fresh chopped basil and drizzle it over the pizza with olive oil, and the prosciutto was quality cut. The crust was so delicious and the perfect amount of crunch, not too doughy at all. The restaurant is only carry out/order to-go so they get busy really early and I suggest you call in your dinner requests early during peak holiday season. I will definitely be ordering more pizza from here since their menu has a great variety of pizza combinations that I'm excited to try in the future. We were so happy to see that a new pizza place was opening in our little beach town, and Pomodoro does not disappoint! First we got a couple of slices to check it out, and they passed with flying colors. On a chilly Spring night we decided to call in an order and walk into town to pick it up. It was ready and waiting when we got there and it was delicious!!! They were happy accommodate our special order - half eggplant and half pepperoni. Sometimes beach pizza can let you down, and sometimes you go to Pomodoro. Went here for the first time last night (normally an Ocean City staying guy) and was super impressed by the slices. I guess the hour long wait for a full pie should have let us know that people really love this place. We got a bunch of slices instead of waiting the hour, and they came out in just a couple minutes. I've been here twice this summer and each time had a horrible experience and terrible customer service. My daughter went in to ask for a slice of pizza and was told they do not make slices, but there was a sign that said no Slices after 4pm...it was 1pm! The second time we went to order a pizza for dinner and were told they were out of dough. The irony of that. The cashier woman has a nasty attitude and I will never be back for pizza and hope they learn better hospitality and customer service, what a shame. read more

Great pizza and great people that work there. Much better than surfs up, and much friendlier. They actually care for the costumer, making it best pizza in Bethany. Not too expensive, and tastes amazing. Pizza is warm, unlike Surfs up. Great place to go with friends and family. Great place to get large pizzas to go, and you can call in to get it. I love this place ever since they opened, and I come here every time I am in town. I have never had bad service or bad pizza from here. The atmosphere is calm, unlike surfs up where the workers yell and the upstairs smells like piss. We went there for the first time yesterday. Jackpot! This place unseats Lombardi's in OC as our favorite pizza restaurant. We had the regular cheese pie. The crust is crispy and the combination of sauce and cheese is perfect. You can eat a slice and not get grease on your clothes. It's ironic that Grotto's is across the street.
