As you can see from my last review in August 2025 this is now one of my top 5 restaurants for happy hour at the bar or when we are in the mood for good Italian cuisine. In fact this is now our #1 Italian restaurant for happy hour. We were here on Wednesday for happy hour at the bar. I will summarize our two most recent visits here: I started with my favorite two Limontinis for $11 each. They offered a half price bottle of wine special. We opted for the Tinto Negro Malbec red wine for $40, which was discounted down to $20. The Tinto Negro tasted great. I also enjoyed my usual Bob's happy hour meatballs with crostini for $11. My total bill was $81 less gratuity. I was awarded a Local by Toast Reward program annual birthday reward credit in the amount of $10 so my bill was reduced down to $71 less gratuity. Our bartender Sabina G. applied my $10 birthday credit to my bill, which reduced it down to $71 less gratuity. I like how easy it was for me to apply for my $10 birthday credit using my mobile phone number under the Local by Toast Reward program. We returned here again in January with our friends. I enjoyed my usual two Limontinis, my Yuenling draft beer and my three Bob's meat balls. My total bile was $57.25. Sabina served us very well both times by being very customer friendly. I've wanted to try your restaurant for about three years now. My husband and I came this past Saturday 5/30/2026 arriving at 4:50 PM without a reservation, I checked online and did not notice anything mentioning we should have one. We were seated way back in a far corner. My husband ordered the steak which he (not exaggerating) needed a chainsaw to cut! I ordered the parmesan cutlet special - the chicken was good with the exception of it being placed on mashed potatoes which made the underside extremely soggy! Our waitress never came back to check on us to see how our food or we were, not until we were finished and ready for the bill. Based on my visit, experience and service received, I will not return and would not recommend. We felt as if we were shunned for not being dressed "up" or having a "reservation". read more

I'm kind of annoyed because this restaurant offers gluten free options but are not transparent about any up charge for it. Holy cow- $6 up charge for pasta and $4 for a roll! I HATE when businesses are not forthcoming with this and they sleezily add it to the bill. There is no need to be like that when you have a thriving business, it's glutenous. read more

I cannot understand how anyone could give this place anything other than a five. Every time I come to visit my friend in this area I always have to come here. I am so impressed with the quality of their pasta and sauce. I've eaten in California, Washington DC, Chicago and then any other bigger cities, but this still remains in my top three of Italian places I've ever eaten. Let me first say how I was looking forward to eating here since I frequent the other establishment in Rehoboth . Started with cocktails, I had the Old Fashioned Italian which I really enjoyed and Wifey had her usually; after that it was down hill from there. Started with cocktails a watermelon gazpacho and the DiFebo' garlic bread which I found to be greasy(maybe oily is better), the gazpacho was so so, not much of a watermelon taste. Entrees is where it really went downhill, Wifey had chicken piccata with pasta which we found to be very salty and we like salt. I had the linguine with clams (white), not much flavor considering the pasta was swimming in a pool of liquid. The killer here was the 5 little neck clams it came with and the first one I bite into was filled with sand...The second one was gritty. ( no one ever came by with some grated cheese for the pastas). Not a pleasant experience, we enjoyed the wine with dinner , Chianti Classico Banfi Reserva. We left and left our gift certificate and cash for a tip. ( Left disappointed)...As I was driving home we get a phone call from the manager telling us that the gift certificate was not honored there. No one ever said anything to my Wife when she purchased the gift certificate where it was to be used; nor does it say it on the gift certificate. my partner and i were lucky enough to snag a table without a reservation on Labor Day weekend here. Originally quoted an hour, we got in within 20 minutes due to a cancellation! The staff was kind and attentive, and the food was clearly made with love and attention to detail. The wait for the food was a bit long, but so worth the wait. The food was immaculate and we definitely want to stop by the market across the street to take home some pasta and sauce with us next time! Usually a Di-fabulous experience - perhaps since they were very busy with upcoming holiday and packed, tonight was simply Di-BigMiss. Burned, maybe even day old lasagna, usually a standard go-to for us, was charred and so hard to even cut with a knife. Numerous gnats flying around landing in the cocktails not even half finished and over-cooked linguine. Appetizer special labeled Jerusalem artichoke was not a Jerusalem artichoke but simply a fried artichoke piece procured from a jar. Friendly staff but everything tonight was off point - not worth the $120. So disappointed especially since this is atypical. read more

I knew I was going to be in Bethany Beach and I heard that DiFebo's was the best Italian restaurant in the area. So I made a reservation a few weeks in advance after hearing this hype. Having said that, DiFebo's was decent, but not as good as I hoped. To explain, I started things off with the garlic bread which was very tasty. The bread was fresh, light, and was topped with delicious garlic and cheese. It was simply great garlic bread. After that, I ordered the lasagna with a meatball. I was hoping the results would be the same as the garlic bread, but sadly they weren't. To clarify, the lasagna had good flavor and the pasta tasted homemade. In addition, the red sauce was flavorful with a hint of sweetness. Also, the meatball was great. It was savory and sweet. However, this was all wasted because the dish was cold. I was shocked and disappointed that such an expensive restaurant would serve cold food, but sadly they did. I assume the food was sitting for at least fifteen minutes before I received it. If the food was warm, it could have been top tier Italian food. To finalize, DiFebo's is a decent Italian restaurant that could be great if they didn't serve cold food. read more

Went in to purchase Jeff's Hot Olive Oil on 9/29/25 a Monday. Manager was speaking with a staff member and the server/bartender was serving tables and told me he was busy an would be with me in a few minute. I told him I want to purchase the large Olive Oil an he said we might not have it but could help me out with a discount if not. Waited 12 more minutes then Manager and said he would check. He said we only have small bottles which are 33% more. I asked him about what the bartender/server stated about a discount given they did not have the larger bottle available and said the Owner would not allow me to discount it. I said I just waited here 15 minutes and was told I may be able to get a discount. Awful customer service by the Manager I thought and wantef to share. Upon arrival we were greeted by Emily. There was a mix-up (my mix-up) with our reservation for 8 (including 2 children) for late dinner. Emily kept a cool head and helped us get sorted and seated quickly. What a relief! From there things only got better. Cute table with view of bar and outdoor seating. House made breads and cocktails were beautiful and delicious. We shared a variety of appetizers including limoncello wings, calamari and garlic bread. I would recommend getting all 3 - including the garlic bread. (We thought it might be too much bread and finished it all). The vegetarians in our group were thrilled with the eggplant meatballs (which were enjoyed by meat eaters too). Lasagne did not disappoint. I had the panzanella salad with grilled chicken which was fresh and perfectly dressed. Portions were big enough to share or take home. I had half the salad for brunch the following day and was glad I saved it. Our server (whose name I forget, was attentive and patient with group decision/making). Lastly we sampled and shared a few desserts: cannoli, peanut butter pie, chocolate tart and seasonal cobbler. They all seemed to be made in house and everyone had a favorite. I give the entire experience (which could have gone wrong due to my scheduling snafu) 5 stars! I would not hesitate to recommend DiFebo's to anyone looking for a special meal at the beach. They take reservations - which allows you to avoid crowds and wait. Plenty of parking at market parking lot across the street. A girlfriend and I went for lunch to celebrate our joint birthdays. Sal S was our server. He was really friendly, personable, helpful and a nice guy. I had the eggplant sandwich and my friend had the Cesar salad with meatball. Both were delicious. We treated ourselves to the peach cobbler which was also delicious. We have been here twice and enjoyed it immensely both times. This time around I got gluten free pasta and Gianna was super helpful with walking me through the gluten free options! The italian wedding soup was delicious and had a lot of meatballs! Not complaining about that! The caesar salad was also pretty tasty. By the end of the meal, we were pretty full so we didn't get dessert. The restaurant was packed, but it seemed like everyone was getting sat pretty quickly. We often eat at DiFebos and Friday night was one of their best nights. The food which sometimes could be inconsistent was uniform of excellent and a special shout out for the fish stew. I had fish stew at several different restaurants on this trip and this was by far the best and one of the best fish dudes I've had anywhere. They were extremely generous with the mussels (at least 20) though I could've had couple more clams. The fried calamari also was excellent. Another dish we order a lot and our friend who is a seafood affection Out thought it was the best she ever had. Certainly it was the best cook. Perfectly tender. My only quibble would be I think this nice of a restaurant really should have better wines on this wine list. Almost none of the lower price wines are very well rated and they're definitely are better Wines at those price points to be had. read more

This is our go to restaurant when visiting Bethany beach. Food is always good. We had chicken Marsala, lasagne, and ravioli. All were very good. Grace was our waitress and she provided great service. A group of friends and I are here in Bethany for the week, and we decided to visit Difebos with our group of 8. The environment was great, and the servers were welcoming. The food was delicious, but we all felt the portion sizes were small and not very filling, especially the Chicken Marsala and Cacio e Pepe. We also planned on splitting the check, but noticed the menu states that checks cannot be split and that splitting the check would incur an additional fee of $5. So while this place definitely has quality food and a pleasant atmosphere, the portion sizes and check-splitting policy were disappointing. Birthday Twin and I had a craving for good old fashioned Italian food while on our Bethany getaway. We had spent the day in the beach then napped. A quick review of Yelp's app pointed us to DeFebo's. We hopped in her car and headed inland. We arrived at about 8:30, an hour before their closing. We didn't have a reservation, so we were told we could sit at the bar and order, they had no tables available. Okay. So we head over there. The staff were quite friendly and amiable. We ordered Prosecco to start, then I got the Cavatappi Bolognese while she got the Abruzzo Ravioli. Yes, it was real bolognese, big meat and tomato sauce, and it was delicious. The Abruzzo ravioli was also yum, with a creamier, on the savory side gravy. Very Abruzzese, we speak from experience on that. So...why four stars? Empty tables. Lots of them. Servers doing side work or just chatting. They had tables, or an extraordinary number of reservation no shows. I'm betting the former, and that what really happened is that the staff wanted to leave right at close and a late table would make that impossible. I get it, both FDC and I have been servers. We understand wanting to leave on a lovely weekend night right at close. That doesn't make for a good guest impression or experience and should not be permitted by the front of house managers. Will we be back? Probably, with a reservation, because the food was good. It wouldn't be top of our list though. read more

When we arrived on the Fourth of July for a weekend stay in Bethany Beach, my family went to DiFebo's, an upscale Italian restaurant that my in-laws have been going to for years. We picked this place among other Italian restaurants due to its gluten-free selection, which was limited but more expansive than other places in town. Due to the hour-plus wait for walk-ins, we ate at the bar and enjoyed chatting with the bartender. I got a Sicilian Calamari Fra Diavlo and my partner got Tuscan Strip Steak, and we split some cocktails that were alright. Some patrons were dressed very well in button downs and sun dresses, while others were in T-shirts and shorts, but no one was swimsuit only/just-out-of-the-ocean. I recently moved to Dagsboro and heard only good things about this place so I decided to try it for my birthday dinner with 2 friends. Came on Saturday without a reservation so the wait was 45 minutes but we didn't mind. We got drinks at the bar. The female bartender was not personable at all and came across as rude and irritated. It made me a little annoyed but Michael the Waiter made it all better. We sat outside on the terrace and it was so pretty. I ordered the chicken parm, best I have ever had! Kay ordered the Short Ribs and we all had to try it and OMG! So damn good! Scott ordered Salmon and he prefers it on the rawish side and it was cooked perfectly. Michael let me choose a dessert (ice cream stuffed donut - ) and brought it out with a lit candle. All in all I was not disappointed at all, even with the cranky bartender!! Been here in about 6 different occasions. So far 2 have been really good and the last 4 have been not so good. I love their hot dipping oil and seasonings. The food however continues to come out barely luke warm! I had the lasagna with a side of meatballs on Friday and both were not hot! The meatballs were borderline warm at best. Stopped here for dinner after reading recent Yelp reviews, very glad we did. We ate outside on their patio which was very nice. Our server Julia was fantastic and helpful. I had the Chicken Parm, wife had the sweet ravioli with a meatball. My meal was fantastic, the sauce was perfect. Best Chicken Parm I've eaten. My wife's meal was equally as good. For dessert she had the tiramisu, I had peach cobbler with homemade ice cream.....both were wonderful. Will definitely return. read more
