Just got done with having poopsies for dinner so this review is hot off the press. Living in town my whole life, I have only been to Poopsies a handful of times. I hadn't been in several years and have a night to myself tonight so I thought hey, I'll go for a poopsies pizza tonight. Based on the pizza alone, not the dark, dreary interior or anything else. I ordered a pepperoni pizza. I called it in at 545 on a Tuesday night and was told a half hour wait which I figured it would be. I am not one to have sky high standards when it comes to food, but I really was expecting more. It didn't have a lot of flavor, was rather greasy on both the top and bottom, and was somewhat overcooked. I definitely can understand why it reminds some folks of Celeste pizza just more fresh and bigger because thats exactly what I thought. One pie is good for one person as I ate all but 2 slices. I don't know if I'd go back but if I did I would only go if I was driving by on my way home, def won't leave my house to go up to the highway for this place again. Its simply not worth going out of your way for. Overall, if you're in the area and looking for a cheap meal and don't have high standards and can afford to wait for potentially an hour, Poopsies will suffice. Other than that, I won't go out of my way again for the pizza. I'd go across the street to Capones for a couple slices anyday over Poopsies. Bummer :( read more

I really liked my Greek salad and the taste of their pizza. It is slightly greasy bar pizza on a buttery type crust. The sauce was good too. This is a great spot to meet friends and pull a couple of tables together. Our waitress was attentive and warned us the wait for pizza would be awhile. She brought out drinks immediately after ordering. Would definitely go back! read more

disgusting, dreary, dark, depressing. the pizza is awful i would say it is no where near as edible as celeste frozen pizza from the 1970s and about the same size. it is $10 for this revolting cardboard style crust with sauce and cheese. i cannot stress enough the poor quality food and horrible dirty atmosphere. it is the same dark stained captains chairs and tables from 1970 and the same filthy looking carpet. the greek salad was made of huge pieces of iceberg, a tiny slice of tomato, a little feta and some sliced black olives you had to cut the entire salad into pieces you could handle. the burger was disgusting as well. cannot believe anybody would patronize or actually like this dump. horrible. read more

We love Poopsie's pizza! We don't really get much else there but we have in the past & the other food is really good too. If you want pizza on the weekends, definitely call it in early. read more

After hearing how great their pizza was, I couldn't wait to dine in.....big mistake.....dank and dark inside....Although not busy we waited 10 minutes to even be acknowledged. Waitress was a miserable wretch. Our greeting was" wanna drink" and menus tossed on table.....we ordered drinks and when she brought them we asked for a few minutes to decide...that few minutes turned into 20....this poor excuse for a waitress walked by us 6 times.....the 7th time by us I asked for the bill, telling her I was tired of watching her walking past us like we were invisible......she couldn't care less! They don't take charge cards, the ladies room is like a postage stamp, careful you may get hurt in there bumping into things it's so small. I wouldn't go back here if they were giving pizza for free, and its not because of the dark dank dining area or the fact they don't take plastic or even the tiny bathroom......It's ALL because of the miserable wretch of a waitress!!!!! So that there is no mistake which miserable waitress it was, we were 2 women sitting against back wall near bathroom, we were there at 7 pm Thursday Aug. 22, 2019.....never to return and will blast this review everywhere I can. read more

One of the best bar pizza places around! Wait can be extremely long, especially on weekends so plan ahead!

The pizza was nothing to write home about and the service was lackluster. There seems to be a shortage of solid pizza spots around the area, so hopefully next time we are visiting, there will be better options. We ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza. The pizza itself was overcooked (burnt) and by the time the server came by to check on us, we were too hungry to have them remake it. She came by 15 minutes after dropping off the pizza, so by the time we would have waited to have them remake it, we were looking at another 30-45 minutes. read more

This place is a local bar and pizza restaurant. I wasn't impressed by the pizza at all. The sauce and cheese were very good, however the crust was terrible. I was hard like a dog biscuit and ruined the experience. Poopsie's is not even in the same world as Cape Cod Cafe in Brockton or the Lynwood Cafe in Randolph, Schooners and Mambo in Hull. I probably should have give it one star but I didn't try the burgers or salad. Never again. read more

My family and I always come here for special occasions. One of the best pizzas I've had. The wait is a bit if you sit down (approximately 30-45 mins) but so worth it. Pepperoni is my go to and never disappoints. Never had a bad experience or pizza here. read more

The pizza is great but they take the phone off the hook. If your busy just pick up the phone and say so! You lose business this way.

Three of us went for lunch yesterday and it was great. I got pizza which was as good as I remembered from years ago, The others got the Ruben, it looked and smelled so good that I can't wait to get back to try it. When I moved to Pembroke I had several people ask me "have you tried Poopsie's pizza yet?" After laughing at the name, I would say no but I finally gave in and tried it. You can get the same pizza at any grocery store in the frozen section. Actually a lot of those frozen pizzas are better than Poopsie's. People say it's "good bar pizza" and I agree with them if that's another way of saying "bad pizza". read more

Hey, do you like bar pizza? This place is worth the trip (if you have a car). Seat yourself, wait for one of the two waitresses, order 1 pie per person (then mix and match different toppings), get cheep pitchers of beer (soda's are not free refills), and watch the game for an hour while you wait for your pie. Went for the 1st time and as we sat at the bar having a beer, we proceeded to watch into the kitchen as the pizza maker answered the phone. Immediately after he continued to make pizza, no gloves, no hand washing... The amount of germs on telephones is outrageous. We quickly drank our one beer and left. I've been going to Poopsies for almost 30 years and the pizza has always been amazing. I've found very few places in the country that come close. The beer is nice and cold and you can get a few on draft. A couple of the bad reviews on here talk about wait time. True that when they're busy, you're gonna wait, but once you get that pizza, all your problems go away... Sometimes I'll call and order ahead to minimize the wait time. and other times, I'll sit at the bar and wait while drinking a few beers. read more

Three words: best bar pizza! I get one every time I go and I've never been disappointed. The drinks are cheap, the staff is nice, plenty of parking. It's cash only (ATM inside) and incredibly dark but if you want an old school pub feel close to this area, go to poopsie's. read more

I hate to write a bad review, but we hadn't been to Poopsies for years, so we popped in one night and found it not to be very busy, so we grabbed a table. The room we were in only had 3 tables occupied. No one told us there would be much of a wait, but 75 minutes later our pizza arrived. Wow, this is not the pizza I remember. The crust is dry, paper thin with no bite to it. It's more like a cracker crust. And....what the heck is wrong with these customers they have? They let their kids RUN all over the place, I can't believe Poopsies even allows that. The poor servers have to dodge all around the room to avoid tripping over one of them. Ask for your cheese pizza with extra sauce and "crispy" and life does not get too much better than that. Chili pizza is great too. Wait times can be long when it's busy, so be prepared for that. This place was horrible. It does in fact look like your dad's creepy friend's basement, but not in the good way. Unless you're four beers in, there is no way that the food tastes even palatable. The pizza was essentially microwaved and the salad was half decent, but visually looked like a gentleman hath pleasured it. Came here because we were craving pizza, and this place hit the spot. The bar pizza is perfect- chewy/crispy crust, nice and greasy, lots of cheese and toppings- we got hamburger and green pepper. The hamburger was delicious. My issues with this place: 1- cash only. booooo. 2. BAD beer selection.Only on tap- miller and bud. Boooo. 3. Kinda sketchy townie bar vibe. 4. LONG wait for pizza. We watched a billion pizzas get made before ours came out. This place sells a lot of pizzas!! Take out orders were stacked like 6 pizzas high! Like Mama Celeste Pizza on steroids, and dirt cheap. There is no BS at Poopsie's, just ice cold beer and delicious bar pie. If you're expecting atmosphere, ambiance, pampering, or style--hop on the highway . On several occasions, I have gone to Poopsie's with more than five people, had a pizza, and split eight or nine pitchers of beer for less than $20. Where else can you binge-drink for that price? The pizza is plenty for one and will leave you craving more. Poopsie's has two added benefits that I haven't found anywhere else. First, if you're wearing any piece of name-brand clothing, you will undoubtedly be the best dressed person in the restaurant--great ego booster. Second, all of the waitresses look like they just woke up from a 25-year coma. Apparently, in 1986 waitresses are all perfectly nice, competent, and quick--with fantastic hair to boot! Unlike the talkative waitresses everywhere else, this waitstaff gets it done without having to talk it up for a tip. This is a true dive, and there is no better place to spend a Sunday afternoon. Alrighty, I'm boosting up ol' Poopsie's rating!! Everything decor and wait-wise that the other reviewers have said is absolutely true. Poopsie's has been here since 1973, and I swear they haven't changed the decor ever. Faux wood paneling everywhere, really dark *um, no? lighting* w/ little red votives on each table. Sure, it totally needs a decor overhaul, but the freakin awesome bar pizza so makes up for it. By far, the BEST bar pizza on the South Shore. To be honest, the '70's decor-vibe doesn't bother me, probably cuz I've been coming here since I was a kid, and the nostalgia kicks in. Definitely order a pizza per person *The prices are really cheap*, maybe order some salads, and have a few beers while you're waiting. The pizzas usually do take about an hour *just be prepared!*, but they are so worth the wait. Perfect sauce/cheese/toppings, with a nice, crispy crust. *Sometimes we call ahead for take-out during the weekend, the wait is usually even longer than an hour, just for a head's up.* If you're craving a perfect bar pizza, definitely head to Poopsie's. Try not to get lost going to Pembroke, *tho Poosie's is right on Rt. 139, in this little strip mall, right after Burger King*, and smile at the yucky decor. :0) read more

Poopsie's is known for its pizza. I cannot suggest a better place in Marshfield for good, cheap bar pizza. The chili and jalepeno pizzas are my favorite but they have every topping you could need. Do not go for the decor, it's a standard bar but the pizza will make up for it. read more

You gotta love this place! It's cheap and the food is good. The individual size pizza's are great. The house salad is delicious with the Russian dressing. I have always had good service, despite their usually only having one waitress to serve 15 tables. The decor is somewhat cheesy, but it adds to it! The beer is so cold that it tastes great. The menu selection was very limited. No real normal apps. The wait for the pizza took forever. It was good but way too long for Bar pizza. Yummy single pizzas which is fun as you can design your own. Be prepared to wait about an hour for your pizza to be ready, not a big deal as their is a full bar and the atmosphere is inviting. No changing table, but at a tourist I found that to be common in many restaurants. and public restrooms. ...anyways, if your starving order a bowl of chilli or a salad, that won't be an hour wait. read more

Have been going to Poopsies for the past 10 years and it is by far the best "bar room" pizza money can buy. As for the atmosphere, the decor hasn't been updated in probably 25 years, but I go for the pizza! If you plan on going in on a Friday or a Saturday night, be prepared to wait 1+ hour for your pizzas, but believe me, they're well worth it. Also, nothing beats a pitcher of beer (cheap!) and a garden salad while you wait! Love Poopsies and will continue to frequent this place for years to come! read more
