I don't think I've ever written a review for a fast food restaurant, but this specific Popeyes location is one of the cleanest and overall great service fast food restaurants I've ever been to. The manager and staff are doing a really good job. Hadn't been to this location in a long while but was pleasantly pleased with the service and the food. The chicken was nice and spicy, but not overpowering. The Cajun gravy and mashed potatoes were flavorful and tasted like freshly made mashed, not from flakes. Another good sign. Red beans and rice had a very authentic Cajun flavor too. Biscuits could have been fresher, my only complaint about the food. Also bemoaning the removal of greens from the menu, they were a favorite of my wife's. The kiosks were OK to order from, but there was no way to order the fried pickles which I guess are a seasonal item. Just didn't show up on the kiosk so I ordered twice, once on the kiosk, another time just for the pickles at the counter. The fries were really crisp too, so overall enjoyed the meals we had. This Popeyes used to have a line of cars around the block waiting for food. Now there's no line. They are pre cooking like they still have a lot of customers waiting. The biscuits were old, dry and hard. The chicken was old and dry like it had sat under the heater for hours. This place is too expensive to be serving inedible food. I won't be back. read more

It was so crispy! Amazing how they can keep the chicken this crispy and not greasy. Really enjoyed the coleslaw and the mashed potatoes and gravy. I ordered the infamous Popeye's chicken sandwich with extra sauce. 1st the chicken patty is a very nice size! I was surprised. It was juicy and crispy on the outside. The sauce was very tasty - I'd definitely recommend asking for extra sauce as it would be dry if not. The only thing is that it extremely oily. Went through the drive thru to pick up dinner for my mom and I. She wanted a two piece and a biscuit. I opted for the chicken sandwich with extra pickles. We didn't have to wait long. The employee was nice. My mom wanted strawberry jam and they provided more than 2 packets for just one biscuit. (Thank you!) I was pleased with my sandwich. When I got home, It was still hot and crunchy. I appreciated the extra pickles too. I like how they were thick slices because it gives a little acidity and extra crunch to the sandwich. The food is good when it's right but seriously the service here has been going down since last year. I mean what is the point of ordering and then having the order repeated back to verify correct and get to the drive thru window where it's repeated again and it still comes out wrong! I mean how hard is non spicy fish or chicken sandwich and they always want to give spicy when we specifically requested non spicy. Don't trust them when they hand the order over to you. Popeyes will never get another dollar out of me. I ordered Popeyes for the first time today. I activated an Uber eats account and got a $25 certificate towards my first order. So I decided to try Popeyes. I ordered 12 wings on a BOGO deal (6 piece order - buy one get one), a side of rice and beans and cajun fries for my son and I. Came to $31, but with my first time discount of $25, it was only around $6 including delivery. Good deal, right? WRONG! It was terrible. I would be embarrassed if I were the Popeyes corporation. Holy Sh*t. The rice and beans were regularly $4.95, and they came in a tiny little container that only took maybe three bites to finish. It would be comical if it weren't true. The "boneless wings" were more like scraps that had a poorly seasoned sauce thrown at them. And I got a buy one get one deal...to think they actually charge TWICE this much normally is freakin' unbelievable! The fries were soggy and awful. It was absolutely the worst fast food order I have ever had. I feel completely ripped off, and I only paid $6! If I would have had to pay $31 for the complete crap order I received...and I'm serious...I would have acted in a way that might've gotten me in trouble. It was a terrible deal, at a ridiculous price, for an awful meal. I don't do fast food very much, and I was reminded today just why. I'll never, ever go to Popeye's again. Ever. I have grown up eating Popeyes often living so close to this location off of Sonoma and Lewis Brown drive. There's always a long drive thru line in this plaza that it's sometimes faster going in and ordering. The workers are very efficient and fast. My family always gets a family meal with chicken, they're chicken fresh is always really crispy and juicy, I prefer Popeyes over KFC and Church's but that's just me. I like the skin and juiciness of the chicken pieces and meat. As for sides my family likes getting Cole slaw, mashed potatoes, and Cajun fries. Their biscuits are also good fresh or pop them in the toaster and just add some honey. Right now they have beignets for a limited time. They're filled with rich Hershey's chocolate and coated with tons of powdered sugar so it's really messy to eat so be prepared. I personally thought they were good, on the sweater side and comparable to Disneyland beignets for a cheaper cost too! You can get like 6 or more for a reasonable price too. I would recommend trying them. I think I even like them better than some Cajun places and restaurants. read more

We ordered the family pack with 4 chicken sandwiches (we did 3 spicy, 1 no pickles, and 1 regular with extra mayo), regular tenders, Cajun fries, and the blueberry and lemon/cream cheese pie. Holy mackerel that was good. The pie was stupid good and nice and crispy! With 5 bucks off, I think we paid 35 for it all with a tip for door dash. SALT BOMB ALERT!!! Gorgeous looking food fried to perfection, HOWEVER, I ordered the 12 piece spicy chicken tenders. The tenders were more like smallish strips, but they did include 19 of these in a box filled to the brim. They were kind of dry because they were thin. Maybe someone in the backroom chopped them down too small. Had the the smaller pieces been consolidated into bigger tenders they would've been juicier I suppose. You are immediately aware of how very salty these were and dipping them into the BBQ sauce made them even saltier. Pretty much the only flavor I experienced was all salt and everything else was flavorless and any chicken flavor was lost in all that SALT. 1800++mg salt for 3 of these. WOW. I have seen other reviewers comment about the overuse of salt. So, never again. Never had this experience from them before and was very disappointed with how the customer service department rerouted the issue back to the store to handle given that's where the issue came from.
