So I happened to be early in the neighborhood and stopped in for a little nourishment. I wanted to sit by the window for the sun and the one table had six seats and one guest . I asked if it was a community table . The sweet waiter directed me outside where he set me up in a lovely spot full of sun, so it was great. In my rush to go outside I didn't notice that they had a full coffee bar with hot chocolate and any coffee drink you would desire a full Sports bar. They even had Turkish coffee, which I love. The outside for me was perfect the inside was just too loud .too many people. So I ordered their green Benedict which comes with asparagus and avocado. I asked to have poached and English muffins. There's is listed with scrambled eggs and sourdough the other store it's poached. No problem with the switch . The waiter was great attentive and knowledgeable about his choices. They have a great selection of juices so I ordered a pomegranate. All went well beautiful sunny warm table cause it was freezing

Came in and waited to be seated got seated but wasn't told we had to purchase first... after waiting and seeing people food coming to the table went to the counter to ask why we weren't being served. We had to pay at the counter but wasn't told I think the gentleman was a manager.I spoke to someone who brought food to the table. I told them that we haven't been here in a while and decided to return, it would have been helpful to tell your guest so they aren't waiting too long to get service especially when they are sitting. But I will say it got busy with everyone buzzing around us. The food came out and with surprising speed I ordered the piggy special with scramble eggs and sausage, French toast...why especially when I ordered pancakes basically what I get when I come. There was also orange juice and crab Benedict, which we shared one Benedict for me and the other Benedict for I guess surprisingly enough after eating halfway through my meal, but decided to go into the Benedict and the egg was hard boiled see the photo. Also, the French toast was really dry, but the pancakes were good and they were scrambled egg with cheese was amazing. The orange juice is fresh squeeze, but for some reason it seemed like it was watereddown. I know everybody has a bad day and they seem like to have been one of theirs, especially after the rain we've been having however I was off this weekend and wanted to enjoy a meal without cooking and that's the reason why we went. After leaving, we were approached and asked how our meal was as we were crossing the street and I hesitated to answer, but decided to give that information and was asked again if we would try them again and I think I'm going to do that. I'm gonna try them one more time and see what the Service is like Hopefully it is better than what happened today. Very disappointed.

Y'all should have this coffee!!!!!! Amazing! Usually, I get a stomachache after drinking a cup of coffee if they are left for a while after brewing or are too much acidic. Here, it is different. (idk why tell me why :shrug) The staff says "it's a simple dark roast." It is fun to see the gigantic siphon used for water brewing. There are other 5 or 6 coffee mills and/or brewing machines for each purpose behind the counter.

Standard breakfast, nothing to write home about. Biscuits were under cooked and gravy under seasoned in my opinion. Belgian waffle was a-ok, but didn't come with any fruit like I thought it would.

Had an intense craving for chicken/country fried steak. Found this store on DoorDash. Got the chicken fried steak with biscuits. Added extra for sausage gravy. Everything was very good. Perfect over easy eggs and crispy hash browns. Portions are big, enough for 2 breakfasts for me so for $32 (delivery + tip) is worth it.

Solid breakfast food at a reasonable price (especially for SF). The plates are plentiful so go hungry!

We stopped in for breakfast before our flight out of San Francisco. Locals at the 500 club recommended it. Good food, and decent prices. Will be back!

Initially the sketchy location could make one feel a little leery. The outside of the building looked unkept and uninviting. However a work friend comes here all the time and set up a meeting there. Once inside--decor was actually inviting--clean, spacious and artsy! Order at the counter, a huge vast menu looms above on the wall. So much to choose from! Very rare--but I just went super simple --MAKE YOUR OWN OMLETE--spinach & chicken apple sausage, with hash browns and two big homemade biscuits. Massive servings! Great place to have a midweek morning meeting as well! Plenty of room, food was hearty, service was great (came around a few times to refill our coffee!) They have a full lunch, dinner and bar menu. Assuming it gets more busy at different hours and weekends.

The Pork Store Cafe is on Haight Street and here's this location. I walked by and hadn't been here before near the Valencia corridor. I decided on chicken quesadillas and hash browns as side. Pork Store has hash browns. It was a decent dinner with some sushi at the other place. Here's to more Valencia adventures during COVID!

This is a the place to grab some breakfast. I enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. I also enjoyed the Belgian waffle. If you have a breakfast craving this is the spot in my old neighborhood.

Great neighborhood cafe with counter service. Breakfast was perfect! The winner was the hash browns. Crispy in both sides and covered in cheese! Find your way to breakfast in Haight and Ashbury. It's worth the stop!!

Given the complexity, the…read moredrinks do take awhile so just hang out and enjoy! * Lychee Corn 75 = sweet lychee, but not overly; can't really taste any alcohol * Korean Cold Noodles = so complex! It's hard to describe but it's definitely worth a try. It also comes with some Dijon mustard to try with it. * Dumpling Martini = VERY strong and unique. It comes with a real dumpling! * Mango Sago = I really liked this one - tastes exactly like mango with coconut and has a few mochi for fun. * Ube Cheesecake = yummy dessert cocktail that is fairly thick so commit (it's worth it) The food is really unique as well - I highly suggest the deviled egg sampler. The atmosphere is very lounge like with chill vibes. Service is great.

Lore's Wonderland escape room was a fun and delightfully whimsical experience. **This review is…read moremainly for the escape room, as we did not order any additional drinks outside of the escape room.** THE SPACE // Lore Speakeasy and Escape Room has cool themed decor everywhere, from the dimly-lit speakeasy/bar room in front, to the Middle Earth/Lord of the Rings-themed board game room, to the individual bathrooms, and of course the escape room's multiple Alice in Wonderland-themed rooms. Clearly a lot of effort went into building these rooms and evoking a certain vibe for each. THE ESCAPE ROOM // The puzzles in the escape room varied in difficulty - some required us to think a bit more, some required our observational skills to work harder, and others required a light level of physical skill/movement. We were perplexed a few times but never got stuck for too long, as the White Rabbit (played by Phoenix, the live actor/puzzle master) would jump in occasionally to provide clues over the speaker or in person. It took us about 1 hr 20 min to finish the entire escape room; I thought the pacing was good. THE [ESCAPE ROOM] DRINKS // Lore's escape room experience comes with "a flight of themed cocktails or mocktails, including "potion"-style drinks that are integrated into the experience as you progress", per the website. We got to choose one cocktail/mocktail option (Korean Cold Noodles) from a list on the website, and the other two drinks are pre-selected to supposedly fit into the Wonderland theme, with the flavors described online as "berry" and "peach". You can get both cocktail and mocktails for your party, in case some people want alcohol and others don't. We all enjoyed the flavor of the Korean Cold Noodles cocktail, which was refreshing and surprisingly a bit minty in the mocktail version. However, we didn't like the two other two pre-selected themed drinks as much. The "berry" drink gave us cherry cough syrup vibes, and the cocktail version of it was quite strong. The "peach" mocktail drink reminded me of canned fruit syrup; we also were missing the two cocktail versions, though we decided not to ask for them as the mocktail version already was less than impressive. One other missed expectation here was the size of the drinks that we received in the escape room. We were expecting full-sized cocktails, like what they serve in the speakeasy in front. Instead, we found out that the drinks are served in small "vials". Given the size of the drinks in the escape room, combined with us not even enjoying two out of the three drinks, I would preferred to go through the escape room without the drinks at all, and likely pay a bit less for the escape room then. OVERALL // I'd still recommend the escape room as a good one-time experience with a date/friends/family. Just don't expect too much from the included themed drinks! The speakeasy drinks on the main menu do sound unique/tasty, so I might come back again to try those sometime.

We ordered shishito peppers and mushroom bahn mi sliders. The mushroom bahn mi sliders were amazing - the quality fillings and taste of the soft bun - I was unexpectedly hit with a bite of spice from maybe jalapeño seeds left but didn't sour my experience. The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! Great experience, I would be weary if the peppers as I'm a bit spice-intolerant but everything else was spot-on.
