I had the bbq pork (cha siu), chicken congee and beef brisket soup noodles. Food is alright, not the best in town. Cash only for purchase under $30, so make sure to bring cash if you come eat alone. It's a decent place if you are craving Cantonese food but I'd recommend going to Dim Sum King if you eat with a group.

Good Cantonese food and decent prices. The lunch specials are pretty good. You have a choice of main entry with a choice of coffee or milk tea. Their milk tea is authentic, not the tea bag or powder variety. The dining room is plenty large to accommodate large groups. It's also clean. The service was good, waiters were attentive and offered hot water often. They also have a large parking lot outside. However, parking space is hard to find. If you want to grab a quick delicious lunch with tasty milk tea, come check it out.

We visited Porridge King for a quick, weeknight dinner and it was an okay experience. My partner was craving savory congee and we opted to dine in. I ordered a shrimp with scrambled egg rice plate, which was tasty and a good-sized portion, so I also had leftovers. Customer service was not great, we had to wait a while before we flagged someone down to order. Same thing happened when we finished eating and wanted to get the check, some of the wait staff walked right by and did not care to acknowledge us or see if we needed anything. Another thing to note is cleanliness, which could be definitely improved. The restaurant itself is pretty average, nothing to rave about. Menu options are pretty good and the pricing seems reasonable. They also offer limited lunch specials on weekdays. I imagine there are better restaurants nearby, so it's really up to you on whether to dine here or not.

Mom favorite location to have porridge. We ordered: Beef porridge, and the standard one with the egg. I normally order a rice plate, but I ordered their special " fish fillet over rice " . Food is ok. Service, typical Chinese restaurant. Not much there.

This is an absolutely disgusting restaurant. Their server was wearing blue gloves, but she used those same gloves to touch trash and food waste, then immediately handled customers' plates and bowls without changing them. She even used those dirty gloves to serve the food. On top of that, the server looked like she genuinely hated every customer she interacted with. The food they brought out was cold, and the whole experience was just awful. To be honest, I only managed to finish the food by forcing myself. The more I think about it now, the more nauseous I feel. I didn't think this place deserved any tip at all. I only left a very small, symbolic amount. But unbelievably, the server actually ran out of the restaurant after me. It was ridiculous -- I can't believe he even had the nerve to do that. I will never go back

Seems like a popular local spot amongst Canto people. Sad to see all the really negative reviews, it was filled with Chinese families on a Sunday afternoon so you know it can't be that bad! I really enjoyed the porridge and milk tea. Very rare do I see a lot of different porridge options on the menu so I was happy about that. The milk tea was very strong in the tea flavor, it was quite impressive and I really liked it. I liked the beef with daikon in chu hou sauce, very flavorful although the meat could have been cut up smaller. The pork was crispy, a little bland, but okay because of the dipping sauce. I thought the seafood in the signature pan fried noodle tasted bland as well. Not the worst problem, and I liked how the food was not too oily. They accept credit card now so that was a nice surprise! Pretty average canto diner spot, I had a nice time and would go again!

Ordered the following items: Surf clam: This was pretty good Garlic chicken: Half a fried chicken with fried garlic on top. A little dry, but decent for the price. Shrimp and egg chow fun: The sauce was thick and gooey; Lacked wok hay. Salted fish and diced chicken fried rice: Average; Not a lot of salted fish Unfortunately, the food is just not good here. Cannot recommend this place.

Decent porridge, straight-forward service, but DELICIOUS salt and pepper fried tofu! Seriously, probably the best salt and pepper tofu I've had. Crispy and perfectly seasoned exterior (my taste preference is on the saltier side), soft and hot interior. The salt and pepper squid was good too, but we felt like it didn't have much squid meat inside. Came around 6:30pm on Sunday, and we were seated immediately but had to wait a while to have our ordered taken. They seemed busy and possibly understaffed. Wouldn't come here for exceptionally friendly service, but the food is pretty good - and that tofu makes it all worth it!

It's an alright place for some quick Cantonese style food. Prices has steadily increase to the point where I think Panda Express provides a better value. It's not bad but it's not great Quality of life has been improved as they now finally accept cards as payment since it used to be only cash only business. Menu has also been updated.

They let us know there is just a little bit of oyster sauce, which is not too bad for my friend. We placed our orders and settled in to wait for our dishes. As we chatted and shared stories, we noticed that the table behind us was receiving their orders and sitting down about 10 minutes after we did. We started to see plates arriving for other tables, prompting us to investigate the status of our food. Upon checking, we discovered that our order had been lost. After waiting for half an hour, we were informed that they had misplaced it. Consequently, we had to place our order again. Let's dive into the details of our dishes: - Roasted Duck Burrito: The burrito lacked substantial duck meat, and the wrap was not warm as it should have been. - Shui Mai: This dish was consistent with the taste of other Shui Mai we've had. - Chicken Feet with Black Bean Sauce: Regrettably, we never received this dish. - Har Gaw: This was the last dish served us. It arrived steaming hot, but the wonton skin wrapper was thick and chewy. - Spare Ribs in Black Bean Sauce: The ribs had a sweeter flavor than expected. - Fresh Okra Poached with Garlic & Scallion: The okra was not slimy and had a pleasant taste. - Hand Roasted Suckling Pig Slice: The slice was incredibly tender and crispy. - Crispy Tofu with Garlic/Herbs: The tofu was crispy, but some of the coating that wasn't fully fried with it tasted a bit raw. - Crispy Fried Taro Puffs with Pork: These were crispy and warm. - Fried Glutinous Dumplings with Dice Pork: The dumplings were crispy and warm, but the pork was minimal. - Stir Fried Beef Chow Fun: The dish was good, and the meat was tender. Throughout the meal, our waiter kept checking on our order and relaying messages in Chinese about the dishes still needed for our table. After two hours, we decided to cancel the chicken feet. When the bill arrived, I expressed my dissatisfaction with the service, and the waiter responded with a series of "ok"s. After a few more "I'm not happy" comments, he removed the "service charge" and informed us that we could decide whether to leave a tip or not. They are located in a strip mall near several different food places, bakery, and a bowling alley. This is a solid dim sum place, with no frills and reasonable prices. You order off a printed menu that's in Chinese with tiny English subtitles. You can also order off their regular menu if you want to supplement the dim sum dishes. Their food is very good, and some dishes were excellent. The service was pretty quick, and before we knew it, all our dishes were out with almost no room on the lazy Susan. The standouts for me were: + Steamed custard buns (piggy buns) - I ordered these for the kiddies, but dang they are so good. The custard filling is so velvety, it's almost like pudding. I think I detected a hint of coconut too - yum. + Beef chow fun - this had a really good wok flavor and the noodles were less wide than most. The noodles didn't clump either, and the bean sprouts were still crispy. + Roasted pork belly - the skin was so crispy and the pork was juicy. We ordered most of the basic dishes like har gaw, sui mai, noodle rolls, turnip cake, stuffed eggplant, chicken feet, etc. and they were all above average. My only complaint is if you don't read Chinese, the menu is a little hard to navigate. The English subtitles are so small that if you're looking for something, you have to scan the front and back of the menu trying to find the item. I was looking for sticky rice in lotus leaf, but found sticky rice roll and thought it was the same thing. It wasn't. The sticky rice roll was not bad, but I found the rice drier than when it's in lotus leaf. We ordered a few things by mistake because the English subtitles were not that descriptive. Overall, a great alternative to more popular places like Koi Palace. The menu may not be as creative as Koi, but you don't have to deal with the lines and you still get great food.

We tried the BBQ Pork pastry, and it was flaky, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweet and savory--definitely recommend that one. Overall, we enjoyed almost everything we ordered. The only miss for us was one of the fried fish dishes and the green onion mantou, which was just okay. Would we come back? Absolutely. The service was efficient, the portions generous, and the food solid. Great spot if you're looking for dim sum that delivers on quality without the usual weekend chaos.

Another guest was waiting for their take-out order. One server working the front of the house. Service was minimal but efficient at the same time. She brought us everything we asked for immediately. The menu is fairly large, but we still managed to order variations of dishes not listed on the menu. Most Chinese restaurants will accommodate a guest request so long as they have the ingredients and they know how to compose the dish. How they work out the pricing may be something else. At the table immediately behind my mom, I heard the guest ordering a Hot & Sour Soup, add Won Ton. One of my favorite mash-ups! We ended up having a very nice conversation over lunch. Of course, we ordered the same soup and the price they charged was a reasonable $16.95. I've had some places try to charge me for two soups which I think is ridiculous. Ordering was easy, the staff were genuinely warm and accommodating, and the food came out in about 10 minutes! No complaints on the service side at all. Honestly, the team here was a highlight. The food, however, was a bit hit or miss. What I'd recommend: Honey Walnut Prawns: The clear standout of the meal. Well executed, good flavor, and the shrimp were a generous size. If you come here, get this. What I'd skip: Fujian Fried Rice: Unfortunately pretty disappointing. The texture was mushy and it lacked flavor throughout. Wouldn't order again. Deep Fried Flounder: Way too heavily battered. The thick coating of flour overpowered everything and there wasn't much flavor coming through underneath. Could be a solid dish with a lighter touch. Seafood Pan-Fried Crispy Noodle: Decent enough but pretty flat on flavor. Just okay. Deep Fried Fish Balls: The flavor was actually there, which was a plus, but they were a bit overcooked and came out harder than they should have been. Overall, the service genuinely saved the experience. The staff were great and the vibe was pleasant. But the food didn't quite land for me and I likely won't be back. If you do go, stick to the Honey Walnut Prawns and maybe explore some dishes I didn't try.

We walked around looking. Another party came in after us, a party of 7 and they were even louder than us. Anyways, everyone just started making themselves at home. Took a table, got our own menus, etc. Quality/Quantity - Today we got the following: Boneless Hainanese Half Chicken - When I ordered this, I did not know it was boneless. When it arrived, I said to myself another skinny chicken, and then realized it was boneless. So for a boneless half chicken, it had a very reasonable amount of meat. I am not sure if I have EVER had an entire half chicken deboned for me?!?! I really appreciated it. And the accompanying ginger was so good; we asked for more. A little too salty for my guests, but I like salt. Clams with Black Bean Sauce - Good flavors. Decent portions, considering that it is a seafood dish. One clam still had some sand in it, but the rest was good. Chicken Chow Fun - Not on the menu, but they gladly substituted the beef for chicken for us. The chicken was very tender. Decent portions. I actually thought it had generous portions, until we finished it all. And we are light eaters. But the food here must be that good, because both my guests finished it all with NO leftovers. Atmosphere - Small local restaurant, with cool decor and even better messages! See all my pictures. Private room available. Two unisex restrooms. Both of which have positive messages; again, see pictures. Open 7 days a week from 10:30am to 9pm; closed Tuesdays. Plenty of mall parking, but it was FULL due to a busy Sunday lunch rush in the mall. Service - Good, friendly, and welcoming. Well after she finished working in the back... Price - $60 + generous tip. Reasonably priced for what we got. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2018.
