I was staying in Manhattan Beach when I needed an emergency nail repair, yes call the wahhhhmbulence because I was seriously upset. So I decided to check yelp for the best spot to go. Reviews for this place were up and down, which doesn't bother me one bit. I checked out the photos and decided to give them a shot. I arrived and was seated right away. The nail technician was so friendly and nice, we got along well and she did a beautiful job. I loved how they have top notch polish colors from OPI and Essie, I went with a dark blue. My first time here and the staff was friendly and pleasant. However after spending $100 (including gratuity) on my mani-pedi, the polish smudged horribly and took well over an hour to dry. Later the same night, it chipped as well. The picture here is my manicure Less than 24 hours after the service. Other salons I've been to use a quicker drying top coat and it lasts much longer. Another customer before me had also come back to re-do her polish that smudged. I'm very disappointed and this was a big waste of money. read more

This place is not clean. I did not see my nail technician sterilize her tools nor did she open them from a new pack. Also the manicurist skipped the entire step of massaging/motioning my hand and lastly the overall manicure is horrible. Of course my hand and cuticles were very dry and flaky because I soaked gel off and she did not moisturize them but also the polish is bubbly and on my cuticles. Lastly the tip situation was very weird I said I wanted to put the tip on my card and was expecting to get a receipt with a subtotal that I could then place the tip on but instead she wanted to charge me a higher cost and then give me back the cash to give to my nail tech. This Salon wasn't great. I came in and asked for a polish change ONLY but was charged for a manicure. I never asked for a manicure, nor did I receive a manicure. I was never asked if I wanted my nails cut or shaped. and I left there with multiple bleeding cuts on my fingers and toes. The gel polish on my thumbs are cracked and one of my nails chipped the next day. Will not be returning. read more

First time based on a recommendation from a friend. They did a good job on my nails (feet & hands) plus brow wax, MY PROBLEM IS THE SHADYNESS! When I went to check out they said they only accept cash for tips (why didn't they tell me that when I booked the appointment?) They suggested I use the ATM at Bristol Farms, sorry but I don't like giving banks money for withdrawal fees. They should've told me when I booked the appointment. Next, when I was in the chair the lady told me my price would be $150. Today I looked at my credit card and I was charged $154.50. I called them and they said, "if you use a credit card you pay 3% more", WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME THAT BEFOREHAND (at booking or while in the chair)? SHAME ON YOU POSH NAILS FOR BEING SHADY! I'm sure many of us would be OK with one or both of these things, but to keep everything "secret" until the end... THIS IS SHADY BUSINESS TACTICS AND YOU ARE ALREADY EXPENSIVE! I made an appointment for my daughter to get her nails for a senior dance at school. She told me that the ladies were rude to her. They would not accept her debit card and made her get up out of the spa chair and walk to the ATM machine to give them cash. This information would have been helpful BEFORE they began her services, not right in the middle. When they finished painting her nails, they rushed her out of the chair so someone else could have it. She asked if they would help her put on her sandals since both her hands and feet had fresh polish and she didn't want them to smudge. They told her no. So the inevitable happened...her toenail polish smudged and when she asked to have it fixed, she was treated with rudeness. The girl did it quickly and was noticeably irritated. Came here yesterday with my best friend (after begging her to try this spot because I come every month for a pedicure, which accounts for the second star). She said she would give it a try, but now I am embarrassed I even took her here... She got the absolute worst manicure ever. She came for gel manicure + chrome. The manager accidentally gave the manicurist the regular polish instead of the gel. This mistake was not figured out until after the chrome powder was already applied. The finished product looked very wrinkly like raisins. Finally they realized the accident. The manicurist switched places with another employee, and she proceeded to file off the entire previous job. Meanwhile, my pedicure was done and we were now running behind for a friend's birthday dinner. Her hands looked horrible so I understood why she wanted to stay and let them fix their mistake. I sat next to her as the second manicurist began sawing off the first round of the wrong polish. She rushed through the job and had to do so much filing that the skin around the nails is raw. Some clear gel/chrome was cured onto the skin itself (pictures attached she sent me after she tried to scrape it off). She just wanted to get out of there so we paid quickly and left. After two hours of being there her hands looked worse than when we walked in. All night I continued to be embarrassed as our girl friends commented on how tacky & unprofessional my friend's hands looked. She never even mentioned it was my idea to take her there. We all made her promise she would go back in today to get a full refund. Apparently she went in with her mom and showed her hands to the manager. She didn't have time to stay and let yet another manicurist fix it, so she asked for a refund. They were only able to give her $20 (originally she paid $45, tipped $11 bc she didn't want to punish the two manicurists for the manager's mistake). All-in-all, I know she will never be returning and I will NOT be recommending for anyone else to come here. :( read more

Pricey for California- $50 for an OPI dip. Looks good but one nail is chipping after3 days. Quick, friendly pro service, clean, COVID compliant shop. The very first time I came here was about a month ago. I had Van do my Gel Manicure and she did such a great job! Took her time, made sure I was happy with the color and shape, very nice as well. So I thought to myself, I FINALLY found my regular nail place! Fast forward to today, I went in around 11:45 and it was pretty busy. I asked for a gel manicure and spa pedi. I actually requested Van to do my nails and the receptionist replied back "she's all booked for the day." Which is fine, I didn't make an appointment or anything so thats my bad. The receptionist wrote my name down, called out to people and went and sat on her phone. Didn't tell me "have a seat someone will be right with you!" Or "it's going to be a bit of a wait." So that was my first turn off. She was very rude. So I sat for about 5 mins which is good considering they were pretty busy and I didn't make an appt. I was happy. I sat down and had Tammy do my manicure and I didn't catch the ladies name that did my pedicure. The one that did my pedi was very sweet, did a decent job. Tammy, the one that did my Gel Manicure, I had to tell her twice to make sure she went to the edge of my nail(to color the whole nail) and then I look at two of them and it literally looks like the color was melting off. She tried fixing one thumb, half assed, still looks awful. I get home take a shower and look at my nails. They look horrible! One thumb is already peeling! Almost as if she didn't dry them long enough or didn't let the bottom layer dry all the way! I'm so pissed off, I was going to go right back and have her fix them and get my money back, but what's the point if they are still going to do an awful job. They did an "OK" job. Nothing special. Nail technicians were nice. Receptionist was welcoming. I was a walk in and was serviced right away for a regular mani & pedi. Nail polish collection was OK. OPI and a few Essie. The reason for my 3 star is because the furniture is extremely old. My chair was very uncomfortable. Missing buttons to the remote control. Seats have tear on them. I saw a lot of water on each chair. It was so old the floor was stained brown. I think they need to buy new equipment. Not to forget there drying machine was filthy. 2 stars for the following: - convenience - cleanliness The nail salon is located across the street from where I work, so eating lunch for 20mins and getting my nails done for about 30mins has become quite the regular routine. Cons: Their color selection isn't so great. I've been to Posh Nails about 10 times now and I feel like I've already tried half of their colors (given that many colors are duplicates.) I've only gotten manicures here but the service that they provide isn't always consistent. For example, on some days I get a nice hand/arm massage and on other days, I don't. I'd occasionally get a hot towel that gets wrapped around my hands, but on some days I'd have to ask for one. I go here mostly because of convenience. If there was another nail salon closer to where I work, I'd go there. read more

I've been coming here for a while. I could say I'm a regular. I came in last Saturday to get a Gel mani and pedi! Everything was rushed as I got home I noticed the Gel was lifting so I called and was told to come in and they would fix it. I work so wasn't able to go in till Thursday and as I got there and told the owner I had spoke to her about getting them fixed she told me to sit down and wait for someone to become available! I sat there patiently while they all talked in their language and looked at me. I felt intimidated. I was told someone was ready to fix my nails and the lady who going to fix my nails says " you lie I never did your nails " I stated " yeah I know " I was just told you will fix my nails. Connie proceeds to come and tell me you never came on Sunday '. A woman next to me getting her nails done told me " I feel so bad for you I have so much anxiety and it's not even me they're talking about ' I guess after the woman that initially was going to fix my nails no longer wanted to do my nails ( mind you I've been quiet the whole time ) so they tell me to go wait and sit elsewhere. They all started talking laughing in their language! I still waited and noticed no one was going to help me and got out and left! I left because the anxiety I felt and all the laughing and looks I was getting as if I did something wrong? I would've of been a satisfied costumer if my services were done right! I will take my business elsewhere! I would always spend $100 plus here and still give a tip! Now I have to pay someone to remove the left over gel and pay for the same service elsewhere read more
