Many major banks now have their own notary service that they provide to customers for free. Which is what I've been using recently. At the time, customer service was great and I was really happy to be a customer. For a long time, I got my mail and had no issues. (Though I did often have package slips but no package) Then, in February of 2026, I got very sick, resulting in a hospital stay and major surgery. Once I got out of the hospital, I realized my payment to Mail Station hadn't come out of my business account. I called multiple times. No answer, so I left a message with my name and number explaining that I had been in the hospital, but I wanted to bring my account current if possible. I wasn't able to even walk at the time, so I couldn't go in. I never got a response. I assumed I'd changed the card on file and that my account was current, as I never heard anything. That was my mistake. In June 2026, I am finally physically functional again. I go in to check my mailbox and notice the mail inside isn't for me. I approach the counter and say, "I think my mailbox has been reassigned." They confirmed it had. I ask "Why, was I delinquent in payment?" The older man and the young woman behind the counter look me up in the system, but said they didn't know why my box was reassigned. I asked where my mail was. They didn't know that either. They asked if I had been out of town for a bit. I explained I was in the hospital getting surgery and hadn't been able to come in. I explained that'd I'd called Mail Station, and even left a detailed message with no response. They said, "Oh. Wow. Well, we don't know." So: - Mail Station closed my account without any attempt to contact me. No calls, no emails. If payment is the reason for the closure, I would've happily taken care of my account if I'd been contacted. As it stands, no one can confirm why my account was closed. - Mail Station reassigned my box without asking for the key back or changing the lock on the mailbox. This gave me access to another business' mail. That's not cool for the other business owner. I wish I remembered their name so I could let them know. - Mail Station lost, threw away, returned, or otherwise misplaced my mail but couldn't tell me anything about it. - Mail Station didn't attempt to in any way resolve the issue and I barely got an apology. They didn't even ask for the key back--I volunteered it as I never want to do business with them again and it's super unethical for me to have access to another business' mail. If you value your mail, which I assume you do since you're looking to rent a box, Mail Station is NOT your best option.

However, the news all came tumbling down on me on a Wednesday afternoon. It was 5:15 and I had no idea where I could find a notary. I briefly considered blaming myself and sinking into a cycle of self-loathing, but decided that perhaps, just this once, it might be better to actually try and fix the situation. I hopped on google and found CD Enterprises was the closest notary available. I called and reached Cheryl, who a kindly woman who simply asked, "Are ya desperate?" I replied I was, and she told me to come over to her nearby home that moment. I drove quickly and found an incredibly friendly, engaging lady who warmly welcomed me into her house. She was quick, efficient and to the point, making me extraordinarily comfortable--and did I mention that she saw me immediately? Oh yeah, Cheryl totally wins at life. After a brief consultation at the shop, I went with their 3M Ceramic IR film - 15% for all sides, rear windows & sunroof and 35% front windshield. At first, I wanted to black out my front windshield. However, I occasionally have to place a handicap placard on my rear view mirror when transporting certain family members. Danny strongly recommended that I go with a light enough film to be still able to see the placard when displayed, obviously for legal reasons. Thanks Danny for the recommendation! Danny initially mentioned that it would take about 4 hrs but they got me out very quickly in just a couple. Lastly, at the completion, he made sure to let me know about little details like to not open my windows for the next 2 days to let the film settle and also that I may notice some streaking/air bubble-like appearances on the films which will ultimately disappear. This is the first review I have ever written. I have never been on the Yelp site before but I feel compelled to share my experience. On about 1150 14 Sep 2019 I went to this Postal Annex location to have a document scanned to my e-mail address. After describing what I needed, the old gentleman (I believe Roy) said that he doesn't do scans. I asked why and he said that he didn't like dealing with the machine. I asked him why he was in the store if he didn't provide the service. His reply was that he was there "under duress". I tried to get a better understanding of his reasoning to turn me away. There was nobody else in the store at the beginning of this interaction. He started talking about how he lost money on investments, something about the people next door, and about Republicans. I don't know this guy but he had an air of unreality about him. I did not do anything to set him off other than wearing my Marine Corps t-shirt. He asked if I was a lawyer because of my incisive questions. He finally told me "how many ways do you want me to say no". I left the store after telling him that I will never return. I have read the other reviews and was surprised to find that all is not well at this particular Postal Annex. The ratings are marginal. The QA/marketing people are aware but obviously have no effective voice in providing any meaningful steering. Here are my recommendations: 1. Go elsewhere. The UPS Store on Washington has very nice customer service. 2. Consider buying your own scanner. read more

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the incredible team at Postal Annex 3012 - Karl, Katie, and Nik. As a business owner, I visit this location several times a week to drop off packages and letters. Each time I come in, the staff consistently goes above and beyond to ensure my experience is smooth and hassle-free. What truly sets this team apart is their kindness and willingness to help me carry in my shipments--often multiple boxes at once which can range in weight from 17 to 30 lbs . While they're not required to assist, they do so with such thoughtfulness, and it makes a world of difference when managing larger shipments. On one occasion, I needed to drop off and stamp 200 envelopes, and the team graciously supported me through the process, ensuring everything was shipped out promptly and efficiently. Their care and attention to detail never go unnoticed. Although this location is a bit out of my way, I gladly make the drive because of the exceptional service provided here. I've being coming here for the past 6 years and even though the computers are very old the service is great! They havent rise the prices in boxes since they opened, the faxes are $2 the first page to any number and $0.50 per page after that! which is super unexpensive and the computer rental is only $0.15 a min but sometimes they dont even charge you; the place has no music which is a relief from todays noisy life styles, (besides silence is goldenlol), they are polite and eficient. Sometimes I dont really understand how much patience they have when customers are vulgar, rude and indecisive. (or perhaps have to much on their mind and are in a hurry and think the world turns around them). The employees at PA+ somehow even guess it right when customers dont even know what they came to the store for, its like they can read minds...Anyways over all since the store got sold 2 years ago things changed less employees, les space and less products for sell but their service is still excellent! Being able to stop in and drop off all packages for all carriers is so convenient! The new ownership has really turned this place around. A great local small business- able to do photos, copies, postage (express, package items, fragile…read moreand etc), notary and live scans. While notary and live scan services are on walk in basis, I would highly recommend calling ahead for availability on those services especially if you are on a time crunch. I stopped in on a Friday am around 10:40 to get a live scan done for a license renewal. I also got forms printed, the staff had me email them what I needed printed. They were friendly and prompt. I did have to wait a while to get the live scan done (maybe 20 mins because the owner was on the way there and parking in Cali is a mess) but it was a seamless process and cost $79.00! Worth supporting!

This spot is convenient for printing documents. You can email your file and then print it yourself…read moreat the machine. At only $0.82 for a single page for black and white, it's much cheaper than other places that charge around $2.50 for the same thing. That said, there are some drawbacks. After you email your document, it can take five minutes or more just to receive the retrieval code to enter at the printer. The staff will tell you to step outside and refresh your email, but the delay makes the process pretty frustrating. Parking is another issue. There are about 17-18 spots, but even with only four customers in the store, I couldn't find a space. I waited at least eight minutes and still nothing opened up, not even on the side street. I eventually gave up on parking and walked. Overall, it's the best price I've found for printing a small number of pages, but the wait times and parking situation make it a bit of a headache.
