It's been on my list for awhile but it's kind of out of the way with not much else around to do. However one night I decided we'd go. Wow it was so delicious. Their famous risotto balls were perfection. I had their chicken parm it was one of the best I've had. My boyfriend had their short rib ravioli it came in a mini cast iron and he said was delicious. Their drinks were great too. We went on a Monday and just got a seat so indefinitely recommend reservations. I don't often like to base my opinions on first impressions with a restaurant because everyone can have an off day. The first time we were there we waited 15 minutes to be seated which isn't terrible and we figured it must be a good restaurant. Once we were seated however we had to wait 15 minutes for someone to bring us water. After that it was another ten minutes to place an order. I ordered a half chicken dish and my husband the eggplant Parmesan. When we started to eat my husband said my meal is cold. And I replied that's odd because mine is really hot but there is no flavor. After asking for the check the wait staff didn't even ask us if we wanted boxes.......we had to ask for them. A month later we were invited there for dinner by a few friends after watching a local football game together. I didn't say anything about my past experience there because I didn't want them to judge the restaurant by my experience. After finally being seated this time around we placed our orders and waited almost half an hour for our appetizers. When we asked where they were they said they would be right out. When they did come out they came out with our meals. Needless to say nobody at the table was too impressed. Ask me if I would go there again.....not likely. Longmeadowans wouldn't know a good restaurant if it slapped them in the face - "Thwack!" We visited last weekend, place was jam-packed. I have to say from the moment we walked in the door and were greeted by the hostesses to the time they wished us a great night when we left, it could not have been better. Our dining experience was the textbook definition of hospitable, gracious, and on point. Bar side and dining side have different vibes (in a good way). We hung at the bar while we waited for a table (patiently I might add - does anyone know what that word means anymore?). Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. My mother and I heard about the rave regarding Posto prior to the launch and have always wanted to go. On the Saturday evening we attended, we were able to walk-in without a reservation and be seated immediately for dinner. Upon being seated, we were smushed between two couples that would have much rather had the seat left open for an intimate evening. But, by the time we realized this, our hostess was ghost. Onward, with our somewhat awkward evening. From reviewing Posto's Instagram and Facebook prior to going, I knew they advertised very heavily their drink options. They did not disappoint in that respect. We ordered the white negroni ($10.00) and the jungle bird ($11.00). The presentation of the drinks were excellent. The cons however, with the type of ambience the resturant is trying to achieve, I wouldn't pour an amazing drink like the jungle bird in cheap tiki cup seen at Margaritaville. Additionally, I know restaurants use the tactic of adding more ice for the consumer to buy more, the jungle bird had a nice sized shaved ice ball with little drink. Meanwhile, the negroni had the same exact issue too. The ice was going over the edge of a very small glass. Again, despite the ice hiccup- we enjoyed the drinks immensely. I love the personality/style of the waitress we had. She seemed shy, but needs to build more skills to sell the menu. She did not ask us if this was our first time at the resturant, provide us with the house specials, and did not even provide us a desert menu at the end (all basic requirements). The only pro was that she did provide minimal recommendations. Anyways, we decided to order the potato fried dough ($9.95) for the appetizer. She offered us the house bread basket, which we accepted. Essentially, nothing special besides two pieces of lukewarm bread in a basket with the olive oil already on the table. I believe it would cost you extra if you wanted more. However, the potato fried dough out of the entire meal was the best edible item we had. It was absolutely delicious. The mixture of the caramelized onions, the white truffle butter and stracciatella is to DIE FOR. I am literally craving it the morning after. Onto ordering our entrée. We both decided on sharing the little neck clam pizza ($13.95). During that time, I also ordered a moscow mule they previously advertised. We had a bit of a wait for the pizza only assuming that, maybe it took a long time to shuck fresh clams. The Moscow mule came out in between. Absolutely another amazing drink (this time without even asking for minimal ice!). The pizza finally came out to our dismay. The pizza, had little to no clams on the pizza. Yes they are little neck clams, but we see they essentially minced the bellies of the little neck clams into micro size. Additionally, the clams were not fresh. They were definitely the ones restaurants order from a food supplier that is in a plastic container. The pizza also was, inundated with a ton of rapini (broccoli rabe). Please, don't get me wrong I love my vegetables, but I have never had such bitter rapini in my life. When biting into it, you couldn't taste anything else. Also, the lack of seasoning, which seems to be the reoccurring theme with reviews on here. It was supposed to have garlic and chilli flakes, definitely did not taste that. Following the pizza fiasco, the waitress did not ask if we liked the pizza. She in fact said, since she didn't see us eating anymore, she new we were ready for our check. As stated previously, no offer of a desert menu was made. Recommendations for the Resturant: I do not want to leave this as completely negative review, but more of constructive criticism. - Hostesses: Before leaving someone at a table, assess the situation. Learn how to read nonverbal ques from the party and surrounding patrons. Do they appear comfortable to sit where you intend them to sit? Or better yet, just ask. By you being forthcoming, you are showing them you care. Finally, I noticed a majority of you are young and appear to be in high school. Do not use the front area as the place to chat and stare at patrons while they eat. I would understand, if you are busser for the tables. Otherwise, make yourselves look busy. You are the first individuals patrons see when they walk through the door and when they leave. -Bartender: Absolutely amazing. Keep up the wonderful work and concoctions you make. Only suggestion lighten up on the ice, especially when shaved ice can water down a drink quickly. - Chef: You have wonderful concepts for the menu. But, the truffle butter advertisement seen throughout the menu will not save you in the end. You need to season your food more. I have never seen so many people in resturant either pick up salt or pepper shaker. For the clam pizza, that can be your best seller. Possibly creating an alfredo sauce as a base. Making sure the broccoli rabe is in season and tasting edible. - Waitress- your recommendation was in the review. read more

I cannot compliment this restaurant enough! Staff amazingly attentive, appetizers to die for and main course fabulous. My girlfriends and I enjoyed the baked fontina cheese appetizer and the PEI mussels in red garlic sauce to start with an amazing selection of bread and rolls. I selected the cavatelli pasta dish. Had a great anniversary dinner here on the patio tonight. Our second time at this spot. Everything was delicious! The chopped salad lettuce was not chopped super fine as I have been accustomed but it was just great. The oregano vinaigrette and pickled vegetables were delightful, especially the cauliflower and celery. Very unexpected and unique but so tasty. I had the gnocchi entree with braised chicken thigh ragu and my wife the rigatoni bolognese. Both were equally delightful. Fresh pasta, well prepared flavorful sauces and everything well seasoned. Mine was a tomato based sauce with the chicken thighs and then an olive tapenade - could eat it all day. The gnocchi had a great texture, flavor, and had soaked up the tasty sauce. First this place is a gem. Same folks that run the fabulous Federal Restaurant run this place and it will not disappoint. We had dinner reservations at another restaurant for my daughters 8th birthday. We needed to make reservations weeks in advance to be seated in these "outdoor igloos". Well 15 min before we arrive my wife reads on their Facebook page that they're closed due to a Covid positive member. They never called us, everyone was in route to this place and where during a pandemic can you find a spot to fit 7 people at prime dinner time? My wife frantically called Posto. We've been here many times and the food has always been spectacular and all my daughter wanted was spaghetti and meatballs. Well Posto said we can seat you at 5:30. Thanks to them my daughter had a memorable night, everything was perfect. I cant thank the staff at Posto enough for accommodating our family last minute. We ate our faces off last night and not one complaint, we had more food than we could eat! That calamari is something dreams are made of, the meatball appetizer is a must have. Do yourself a favor and visit Posto, keep this gem in business. Keep the staff working, keep this killer Italian restaurant around for years to come they really are special. I have had a good experience before but this time I was a little let down. Ordered takeout of chicken parm and eggplant parm. I thought it was strange about not asking about a pasta but thought maybe its just a typical side. Nope, the chicken parm was on top of pastini which I knew what it was but husband had no clue. My eggplant parm was a square of eggplant parm like if it was cut from a larged baked order, nothing else. If this is what 18.95 gets you, maybe you should warn customers. First of all, I've been to many Italian restaurant( and Italy itself), and I just have to say that the food here is amazing. The portions are enough to feed a large family. My pallet is in shock because of all the flavor I'm experiencing. The pizza is fired to perfection. The drinks are nothing less than amazing. The staff is friendly and extremely attractive. Made a mistake of allowing them to seat our party of three at the west end of the patio. Initially in the shade but as time passed we ended up in full sun, on a 90 degree day. Pizza was quite nice but we had to cut the outing short as the sun was just too much. Even with reservations for 3 pm, we ended up in the worst seating location ever. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Quite possibly the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. Waited over an hour to be seated, on a Monday. Had to ask multiple times for bread after we ordered. Our food came 45 minutes later. My husband and I both ordered chicken parmesan, which came out so badly burned it was INEDIBLE. Completely black, but apparently the 'chef' thought if he covered it in sauce it would be fine. Management was very apologetic despite trying to justify it "because it's pan fried" and immediately took both dishes off the bill. It doesn't matter how it's cooked, burnt is burnt. We don't send food back. We like food. We're fat kids. We'll eat almost anything. I ate the fresh pasta that came with it. I asked for spaghetti with my chicken parm, but got rigatoni. That was good, so I ate it. Not "make up for making me wait almost 2 hours for burnt chicken" good, but decent. Plus, I was hungry. Our friends finished their food and handed over their credit card to pay what was left of the bill, about $50. Then got a credit card slip asking them to sign for a FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR bill. This restaurant has so many issues I can't even explain. The worst service... I was thirsty all lunch. She came only a couple times and forgot water probably four times. The cups are literally are so small that it looks like it is made for a child. My friends ordered ravioli and got four tiny pieces for 14 dollars and were not told about the difference in price or portions. Half my pizza was just burnt bread, no sauce, no cheese. It wasn't very busy, but our waiter forgot to do about four things for us. I will never go back and never give my money to this company again. What a waste of my time and money. read more

Very noisy for starters. I ordered the rigatoni bolognese and the sauce was almost non existent and with a tiny scattering of meat. Not the bolognese I am accustomed to like from Mulinos or the former Horizons in Springfield. Very disappointed! Noticed that 2 meals from the adjacent table were sent back for some reason.
