I went here yesterday and it was kind of empty. Tables were not clean and that's a pet peeve of mine. There goes one star! I got the Skinny Turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and mustard. The bread was yummy and the sandwich was great. The girl who was serving us was kind of weird, but not in a bad way. I am not a big fan of Potbelly's because their sandwiches are somewhere between below average and average to me. Yup, that's the loss of another star. This time was closer to average so that's cool. I've pretty much stopped eating at all Pot Belly's. The sandwiches are fine until about 2 hours later when I get this feeling like someone has repeatedly punched me in the stomach all day. It's not just this store or just one time. This has been ongoing for 10 years. For the love of god, what is in their food that causes that? The food is good but every time I order from the store on McKinney my order is always wrong. Today I ordered loaded potato soup but what I got was broccoli and cheddar (which isn't even on the menu for Wednesday). The label even said loaded potato but it definitely was not. My sandwich was missing cheese and mustard that I specially added on. I also asked for no cucumbers on my salad. The label said tomatoes only but of course when I opened the container there were cucumbers. The food is pretty good but like I said my order is ALWAYS wrong. First time here- good experience! Very good sandwich! I got an original ham sandwich (what I always get at sandwich shops) and it was delicious. I went for lunch with a co-worker who said he liked the place. One thing I really liked about it was the service. Everyone was very friendly and they move at lightening speed. This is essential when your trying to get through a short lunch. I got the meatbal with hot peppers and it was pretty good. I'd ask for more sauce next time, but it was worth the trip. read more

Potbelly is always good. The Wreck is the best sandwich in my opinion. Parking at this particular Potbelly can be tricky. There's additional parking in the back. It gets pretty busy during lunch time, so come early or later if you don't want to be part of the jam. read more

I am beginning to think sandwiches are my fav food. I'm new to Dallas and heard a lot about potbelly. Coming from California, I was disappointed they don't offer avocado. The sandwiches are nice and toasty but lack overall flavor. Granted, I got turkey and provolone but it could've used some balsamic, pesto or avocado. :) pretty much tastes like Quiznos. This location has always been hit or miss, similar to other comments. Tonight I had a pretty simple order, a Calicado and Italian sandwich. My calicado didn't come with avocado, so essentially the second half of the sandwich name was missing. Also, we had asked for hot peppers on the side for the Italian sandwich, which weren't included. The reason I'm not giving Potbelly Sandwich Works five stars is because they only have one item on their menu that makes me go back to them. But that one item is so good it makes me want to ejaculate on every Potbelly franchise within a 10-mile radius. That sandwich is the Italian....hands down the best fast sandwich I've had for five dollars. It's meaty, juicy, incredibly flavorful and, best of all, just the right amount of filling. Go to Potbelly, make the short trip, and get the Italian. Do yourself a favor and get the Jalapeño chips along with it....for the sandwich toppings, go with Lettuce, Mustard, Oil & Italian Seasoning. Among a plethora of Dallas sandwich establishments, Potbelly humbly stands out on a consistent basis. Their menu is not dynamic as they stick with what they know. You can't go wrong with a Wreck Sandwich or play it safe with my favorite, turkey. Potbelly's greatest leverage over it's competition is that they are reasonable priced and you get a whole lot of sandwich. Stay away from their salads as the are not that eatable. read more

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT rely on this location for delivery... unless you don't mind getting your food an hour late or perhaps not at all. I used to trust this store for regular catering. Now, i only trust that they will be extremely late, and if they do call to let you know it will be late, its only at the time the delivery is supposed to happen, so you have no choice but to wait. I was having issues with my credit card going through (I later found out it had been stolen), and the female manager was so nice that she gave me my sandwich for free anyways! Other locations I have visited have been great. Went here for lunch today the broccoli cheddar soup was old it tasted real bad. Me and my wife both got the chicken salad and it also tasted off. The customer service at this location is outstanding. I've always had good experiences at every Potbelly's but this one went out of their way to help me. I left a grocery bag from Whole Foods at the register and they kept my butter and veggies nice and cool for me until I could return almost at their closing time. They get two stars because clearly Potbelly's has good food. I'm just wondering when people are going to realize if they are rude to customers they are going to get bad reviews that everyone will read online. That's basically what happened here. Since no one seemed to care when I told them the lady who took the initial sandwhich order at the front was extremely rude, I'm going to Yelp. I don't want to go in to order a sandwhich and leave literlly fuming angry. She basically yelled at me when I was ordering and kept repeating herself like i was the crazy one. I was like, I already told you this, why are you yelling at me? Then when SHE forgot to put the cheese on the chicken and CHEDDAR she started yelling out loud "she said no cheese!!", and I said "I said no cheese on the Mediterranean, the one YOU asked me about 50 times!" The the lady at the checkout counter had a mouthful of food and spit it everywhere when she statred talking to me. When I moved to Dallas 4 years ago I wasn't that impressed but now i'm a huge fan!!

We work downtown and order from this location frequently so we're pretty good with the online ordering system. Because of the Potbelly delivery amount requirement, we always wind up spending at least $30 there when we do order. This particular experience was fine up until we received our food. As usual, we picked our sandwiches, added the extra toppings, and named our orders. The delivery arrived on time and the driver was nice and cordial, but when we checked our sandwiches, one of them was missing all but one topping. No problem, it's lunch rush time and we understand, so we call them to let them know. The girl who answered the phone was clearly not in the mood to deal with order errors today. She told us "you didn't request cheese by the way" (which came automatically on every other sandwich except the one apparently despite what the online menu says) and informed us that she didn't have time to process a refund right now and that she'd call later. At first we thought okay, they're busy and maybe we ordered wrong. But when we looked online and saw that we didn't do anything wrong, and double checked our sandwich and the label which was printed correctly, we couldn't stop thinking about how rude she was. We didn't call demanding a refund, we weren't accusing her of messing up the one sandwich that was incorrect, we just wanted some resolution. We called back and spoke with the GM Jefferson who was very helpful. I don't think we will use this location for our lunches anymore, in the past if something was messed up they were quick to fix it so we kept coming back. After this I think we will go to the one on Elm. We are giving two stars because of Jefferson. Good food, bad customer service. read more

I used to order from this place all of the time since they are right ACROSS THE STREET from where i work. Today i placed an order at 9:11am due to the fact that i know they take a while to deliver since they are busy all of the time. At 11:45am i called to see where my order was and if it was on its way, and one lady answered the phone very nicely but then when i told her i was calling to check on my order she placed me on hold and another woman answered. This woman was extremely rude and i will never go back to this place because of her. She screamed at me saying that she had called me at 9:30am to tell me she could not get my order to me until 12:45 or 1:00pm. But apparently she heard my voicemail and didn't leave a message. I did not have a missed call nor a voicemail and if that was the case i would have just walked over there to pick up my food. Then the damn lady had the nerve to hang up on me as i was in the middle of saying something, If this is what you call customer service then i am surprised you are still in business. read more
