What's not to like about Potbelly. These guys seem to have the sandwich and really the process down pat. Even during the busy lunch time. They line can be long at times but they will have someone taking your order before you even get up to the front. EFFICIENCY in every stage. My go to is usually The Wreck on wheat but I opted for the buffalo chicken on wheat today. Overall pretty good sandwich, with blue cheese, ranch, and franks hot sauce. Hit the spot! Parking at the location off McKinney by the Crescent can be a nightmare when it's busy. Do yourself a favor and just swing around out back and park below in the garage. Plenty of spots, covered, not in the sun and there are steps right by that take you out right in front of Wells Fargo and then Potbelly! Overall it's Potbelly, a sandwich shop. These are good sandwiches and I'm not just saying that because I love sandwiches and I do love sandwiches. I really do. Wish they were bigger, I get "The Wreck" when I stop by. Staff is great; when you walk in the door they always say "Welcome to Potbelly can I wash your car?" Not really, but they are so cool that you almost expect them to say that they'll wash your car. They will make you a fresh delicious sandwich, I get it on wheat. The soup is great and they have ice-cream, do you want a shake? No problem they'll make it before your sandwich is made, if they don't... they'll wash your car. Not really I'm lying. They also have homemade cookies and sugar infested cookie bar thing-a-ma-jigs that make my diabetes hurt, there just that good! Next time your in there tell'em Andy sent ya! Ok, as the current Yelp "Duchess" of this joint (taking my bow as I speak) I would like to say that I LOVE this place! I am honestly a newer fan to Potbelly, but once I found the deliciousness of The Wreck and the cookies, I've been addicted. And like another Yelper posted... I like my Wreck drippin! I've been to three locations and this one is the closest to work and my favorite overall. Pros: Staff here is always really friendly, they take your order from the line if it gets busy, first front line sandwich pro has made recommendations which I love. Now I get provolone! Management has given me a free cookie when they didn't have the one I requested, given me a large cup for my water without my asking (I prefer to eat my calories- not drink them), offered me a free drink while waiting on my to go order for my staff... All of which I appreciate and love from a place I am a regular. I like when a company gives management free reign to make decisions like this. Oh and the man that walks around to clear the tables couldn't be sweeter! I notice. My son loves that you carry IBC root beer and cream soda. I love that sides are reasonably priced and you're not forced to combo anything. Cons, that WON'T keep me from coming back: One guy on the line repeatedly messes up my toppings order. He wants you to say them all quickly, but then each time he forgets one or two things. Repeatedly means the four times he has ever made my sandwich- each time. It's not a huge problem though, the really friendly girl on the end always gives me a side of what I'm missing when I go up there and ask. I HATE when an olive (I guess from the hot peppers) makes its way on to my otherwise perfect sandwich. I get rid of it immediately and try to erase the memory of it ever touching my sandwich in any way. A quick search for them normally corrects this problem, but don't ever change from whole olives to chopped ones as it may ruin my hot pepper experience for good. Lastly, I drop my card all the time into the bowl and never get called. Overall, love it and will keep coming back for more. I've gotten my staff and hubby addicted to wrecks now too! What a popular place! The line about to the door and I am thinking, "man, this must be the best sandwich I am ever going to eat." I guess first things first is the parking, in the middle of lunch you will be hunting for a parking spot in this busy plaza. Then the line...I shouldn't complain I guess because my coworkers who went to Pei Wei didn't get done sooner. I ordered the whole wheat turkey with lettuce, tomato and onion. At first I was uneasy about their decision to toast my sandwich without asking but didn't feel I had a choice but in the end it was pretty tasty. Potbelly is a chain with character. They have lots of funny signs and things. Stuff like (paraphrasing) "working here is the most fun you can have, but we'll pay you too." They offer 7" subs, any on the menu for one low price. You order your meat/cheese and bread combination with the first person who preps it and feeds it through a continuous oven. If you soup or milkshake, you order here as well so it has time to be prepared. On the other side of the oven are employees who add the toppings of your choice, wrap it and package it for dining in or to go. They offer a selection of premium glass bottled root beers and cream sodas, but also have fountain sodas and brewed iced tea (brewed from real loose tea.) They used to offer only these little squat cups for the fountain drinks that held maybe 12-16oz, and while refills were free, I like to take some with me when I leave so I was never happy with that. They finally now offer a large size cup as well. They have awesome desserts. They offer a brownie bar with multiple layers of gooey yummyness. Not quite a 7-layer bar I don't think, but good. One of my favorites is their sugar cookie which is soft and moist and topped with large grain sugar crystals. My absolute favorite is their oatmeal chocolate chip cookies which are sold in large individual cookies or in a bag of little ones. I usually have to get both a sugar cookie for lunch and an oatmeal cookie to eat later. Potbelly doesn't get a full 5 stars because I'm from the north where we had lots of sub shops and subs were always cold unless they contained meatball or cheesesteak. Down here, you are hard pressed to find anywhere you can get a sub that isn't toasted in some way. I tried ordering my sub at Potbelly untoasted but was told that their bread is not fully cooked so that it is finished by going through the oven. Therefore to make a cold sub, they still had to toast the bread by itself which doesn't result in the same thing. So the subs here are good, but i would like them better if I could get them untoasted. read more

The chicken salad sandwich is my number one choice for their sandwiches. I recommend getting it with skinny bread which is not to be confused with a skinny chicken salad. Skinny bread means thinner bread but skinny (insert sandwich name) means less of everything on the sandwich. The shakes are good but I really want them to bring back their boysenberry shake! It was SO DELICIOUS. If you're in the mood for dessert the ice cream sandwich is a top choice. But get ready to get sticky because ice cream gets everywhere and it's worth it! Their dream bars are also amazing! They have many bottled drinks that I don't see too often. Chips to have with your sandwich and also you can order a whole pickle. Their pickles are the best pickles of any other restaurant I've had. Crisp, crunchy and fresh! Basically you can't go wrong here. Anywho, the sandwiches are really good and cheap and the staff is sooooooooo friendly. I honestly, don't know how you can be in that great a mood working in a crowded sandwich place working the rush lunch hour, but these folks have genuine smiles on their faces and are there to help you. For me to smile like that in those conditions, I would have to put toothpicks on the sides of my mouth, or have someone shoot me up with morphine. It really is just amazing. But back to the food. This Potbelly's was OK. I like how during the afternoon lunch rush that they really moved the people through. The service lacks some though. Really crowded at lunch, can be difficult to find a table. Self service fountain drinks. Those making the sandwich I think are so trained to make it one way that if you ask them to exclude something or add something additional to the sandwich, they get all flustered. Two of us ordered the same sandwich with different toppings and separate people were working on building them. Both came out incorrect. I will come back here even for the lack of incompetence since the food is good (the cookies are good too) and it's a quick lunch. read more

Hands down, I think this is the best value for your money in regards to sandwich prices and food quality. Sure, subway may be a little cheaper, but I think the meat cuts and veggies are of lower quality. For you carb watchers, its possible to get a skinny cut sandwhich - thin cut bread with less meat and cheese. For you meat lovers, you can get double meat. What I like to do is get a turkey sandwhich and get thin cut; that way its less bread but the normal amount of meat. I recommend the ice cream shakes there as well as the broccoli and cheese soup to try out at least once. What also is helpful if you are in a rush -- phone in your order and it will be ready when you arrive. That way you dont have to stand in line at noon for 20 min; you will be able to step in, pick up sandwhich, and return to your desk to resume your carpal tunnel syndrome. -) read more

Parking is a nightmare. Exactly what you'd expect from PB, a mid-priced sandwich made warm with quality ingredients. Constant quality every time. I was customer here when I lived in Dallas and I decided to come back recently when I was in town. When I got there I remembered why I stopped going in the first place. My very first potbelly experience I was in line as they were bagging my sandwich up, I approached the register and I'll never forget her name was Tiffany. Very polite girl offered me peppers and a drink, even asked if I was a rewards member..to which I wasn't but I am now thanks to Tiffany. One thing that did ruin my experience was another employee with a red hat at the end (heavier set girl) had said something to a significantly smaller girl who went by Ashley. The bigger girl made a comment about attacking tiffany on the job and how the devil was going to come out of here. I was appalled that that's what's allowed in front of customers. When I spoke to a manager, if I remember correctly her name was Sasha, completely dismissed me and seemed to not care about what was witnessed not only by me but at least a dozen other customers waiting in the line wrapped the door. I work down the street from this potbelly every time I've come in it's been a pleasure. I don't know who the people were today but out of ALL the potbelly's I've ever visited this was the absolute worst experience I've ever had at a potbelly. Not only was I (and other mobile customers) ignored and left to wonder where our order was. They kept piling sandwich orders and not checking names or anything to see if it was one of ours. Finally one of the other customers spoke up pretty upset since it had been maybe 30 minutes since they had gotten there. We were talked to with attitude as understanding as we tried to be because they were busy, my sandwich just never came out. Finally someone tells me it's not even started but people that mobile ordered after my mobile order had huge orders ready to go. When I'm finally handed my sandwich it's not even made correctly I try and get them to put toppings correctly on my sandwich and show him my mobile order stating the toppings I want and he pulls out a receipt and says "I only see avocado" I'm like okay but it's on my mobile order for today!! Like seriously that's not my fault it printed out that way in your end so he says I'll put them on the side and you can put them on your sandwich and then just hands me a random mess of toppings doesn't even bother to look at my phone for the ones I want.
