I ordered a delivery catering order from the Tinley Park, IL location Order # 35196922066501635 with more than 24 hours notice. The order was $320 and was for a very important meeting in front of my executive team. The order was scheduled to be delivered today at 12:15pm. At 12:06pm I was called to be informed that the order was ready but they had no driver to deliver to me. I'm in the middle of a meeting with my team and they said I had to come pick it up and I would be refunded tip and delivery fee. I said that wasn't possible which is why I ordered delivery because I couldn't pick it. The contact said she would get her store manager to deliver it. Called me back at 12:08 saying the manager would deliver it but it would be 15 minutes. I said that was fine (even though it would be late now). At 12:16 they called me back again (each time interrupting my meeting and embarrassing me in a room full of people) saying the manager could bring it but it would now be 45 minutes to get to us. I had to send someone from my team to get the food and when she got there the order wasn't even ready. Then I get back to my office this afternoon and have no revised receipt with delivery and tip credited and hopefully some sort of discount for this ridiculous experience. So I called and was told it would take 5-7 days for the discount to be credited because a district manager had to approve. I said that was unacceptable, they needed to call the district manager and explain what had happened and correct the receipt and charges immediately. I asked for this to be done or a call back. It's now 7:47pm and I haven't heard a thing. I cater food for meetings all the time and will never use you again. I will be sharing my feedback on Facebook and Instagram. This service was unacceptable. If there wasn't a driver available, I should have been notified when I placed the order yesterday morning or first thing this morning so I could find another option for our meeting. This is the worst customer service I have experienced. I need my order corrected asap. read more

This establishment is exceptional. I've been to a few locations and this by far is the best. They met my accommodations and needs. I really didn't know what I had a taste for when I walked in and they gave me recommendations which was very helpful. They guided me through the line and held such a great conversation as they were making my sandwich. As soon as I got to cash the cashier was smiling at me and I felt so welcomed. There order of making sandwiches is fucking stupid and makes no sense at all. They make one sandwich from EACH order before going and making the second sandwich for each order. Which is why you have 20 customers in line waiting for their orders because the workers aren't finishing one order before moving onto the next. I received one sandwich and then got the second one 45 mins later.... Got home and the first sandwich was already cold and hard. And on top of everything, they messed up BOTH of my sandwiches and didn't even make them correctly. read more

I was undecided on what to eat tonight until I drove past this sandwich shop and figured I'll give it a try. I was impressed on the design but the place needed a deep cleaning. I ordered tuna on wheat and took it home. I really wanted to eat at the restaurant but couldn't find a clean table. Sandwich was great best tuna I had in a awhile. I made a Yelp account just to write this review. I've never met such rude staff in my life. They looked like they hate their life. Especially the two caucasian ladies in the middle. It was our first time at a Potbelly as we made our order we didn't know that we get other toppings as the menu says what's already inside the sandwich. When the lady was asking what toppings we wanted we stated ours but for my mother's sandwich we called her on the phone and asked. The worker kept rushing us, asking what toppings but we were still trying to call our mother. She asked three times and I had to say one moment every time after that and kept raising my voice... pretty sure she's deaf. Over all 0/5 stars in service. Lost my appetite. This Potbelly sandwich shop has the most difficulty with making an ALL veggie sandwich. On my first visit, then weeks later, then hopeful tried a third time. I feel like it's pretty simple. I order one veg sandwich. They ask me what I want on my veg sandwich. I say ALL the veggies, including YES the avocado. "It's extra." they stop to tell me. "Yes, I'm aware" "Do you still want it?" "Yes, I still want avocado.....and the hot pepper mix please...I want ALL the veggies you have on my sandwich." They ask if I want to "add chicken?", I say No. "Just ALL the veggies please." I get to work and find my sandwich is ONLY hummus, avocado, artichokes (plus not only was I was charged avocado but for extra mushrooms) Why no lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, why ZERO mushrooms, no hot pepper mix, etc...? I'm not sure how to be more concise, again I'm just confused why it's difficult and it's not during a lunch rush. I think the only answer is not to come here OR hope they hire employees that can listen. read more

First time coming to Potbelly in my life. I wanted to try something new out before I went to work. They had stuff on the menu that I liked. I go inside, the place is beautiful and gorgeous. I love the theme of the restaurant. The food was... Decent, I was expecting a bit better but the sub sandwiches are small. I got a shake too and those things are as small as a can of Monster and they charged me $4 for that. One of the older looking employees was really rude to me. She probably didn't realized I haven't been here before. Personally I think this place is a bit overhyped. I'd come back though if it was an option. read more

I visited the other day at this location. I was undecided on what to get so I was taking a awhile to see what I want . This is my first time being in potbelly so I was new to how they work. I received rude, pushy and mumbling stuff under her breath to her co worker. I had to ask to get a bag bc my food was sitting on the counter out in the open. I wasn't going to continue to finish ordering bc of her stank attitude but I was too over it to care. Her name is Savannah! I would understand if we came in there rude and being mean towards but we weren't. Off the bat she was rude. I didn't appreciate her customer service yesterday. I recently came here for lunch two days in a row. No shame. It was that good. Both times during the lunch hour, they were very efficient and I was in and out in no time. They toast their sandwiches, which is a must for me, being pregnant and not able to eat cold sandwich meat. Their sandwiches always have so much flavor. Why can't I leave no stars? Absolutely HORRENDOUS service. Like I can't even begin to explain how horrible. I know it's busy, I get that. But they had 7 employees and my sandwich wasn't ready for an hour and thirty minutes. And the only reason I got my last sandwich, is because I asked where is the last one. And they JUST started making it. What Kind of business is being run here? The order they make sandwiches was absolutely dumb. And then I get home, finally happy to eat my sandwich, AND ITS THE WRONG SANDWICH??????? MAKE IT MAKE SENSE. and then for my "troubles" I get a SMALL drink??? That's it? I have went to the shop on several occasions to order sandwiches for various parties. They take.my order there and I pre-pay for it and pick it up a few days later. I went there today to place an order to be picked up Sunday, Oct. 23rd and was told I would have to order online. Since when do you have to order online. I was so disgusted I left and went to Jimmy John's. They had no problem taking care of me in person. If this is potbelly's policy, it should be printed clearly on the door and on their menu board. My mom is a little crazycakes and is slow when it comes to places like this with assembly line counter service. So I was pleased to see that each person took their time explaining how things work here in order to get your sandwich. They didn't give her a "you're crazy" look or anything. Maybe a lot of people get confused. I'm not really sure but it seems easy to me. Anyway, the food here is the same as your typical Potbelly's anywhere. I really enjoy the live music when they have someone playing...although usually people tend to sit as far away from the musician as possible. But it's a nice little perk. Quite possibly the worst Potbelly around! The service is absolutely atrocious. My husband and I have gone here three times and every time is worse than the last. We love Potbelly, but these experiences have just been horrible. The staff seem to have no clue what is going on and didn't listen to our orders. They had to ask us to repeat multiple times and then incorrectly made both of our sandwiches. They couldn't find the cheese so the whole process probably took near 30 minutes for four people to have sandwiches made. When we asked the girl about the problems...she replied I don't work at this store so I don't know what to do? These people definitely need some better management and training. read more

So I ordered from them on grub hub, we do like once a week always so good. Unfortunately they forgot the dressings this last round, I called grub hub and they offered the worst customer service ever "you can go get the salad dressings, that's our offer" well we can't leave the building with just one person in it, "well that's all I can offer you" however I called potbelly's and they were so apologetic and even dropped off the dressings and some cookies since we couldn't leave the property. I understand restaurants are short staffed and accidents are happening, this could have been a 1 star but I thought this definitely earned them a 5! read more

They are 0 for 2 in getting my web orders filled. I placed a web order at 8:30pm, and as I was filling out the payment info, it changed the pickup time from 8:45 to 9:00. I figured "okay, I'll just wait a little longer." On my way there (it's a five minute drive), I figured I'd call just to make sure everything was okay. As it turns out, Potbelly closes at 9:00 and they were unaware of the order. They were unable to complete my order, as a result. Money was refunded, but still... So I left feedback on their website and a representative contacted me to resolve the issue. They said they spoke with the store and are very sorry, blah blah blah. A week later, I placed another web order, figuring they learned their lesson. The order had a pick-up time of 7:45... I arrived at 7:44, and they were unaware of the web order. It became clear why--THE MACHINE THAT PRINTS THE WEB ORDER IS LITERALLY OUT OF THEIR VIEW AND PARTIALLY BLOCKED BY A WALL. Due to the contents of the web order, I ended up having to wait another half hour for them to complete the order. I won't be going there again. Completely incompetent. read more

The food is great, my son and I like to go their for a quick bite. The workers are always super friendly. My son usually gets the TKY on multi-grain with one of there yummy homemade shakes. He loves 'em. I usually get a Big Tuna with all the fixins' and man is it good. They are reasonably priced and always quick on their orders. We will keep coming back again and again. read more

Usually excellent service....I dine here regularly. Yesterday I was here with my family and placed an order with the girl at the sandwich starter station. She never offered drinks or soup (which was a first in my experience). I was busy talking to my kids while proceeding with my order (if your a parent you definitely can picture the scenario). Long story short I didn't order the drinks until after we got our sandwiches since no one was at the register. Then the same girl who made our sandwiches "instructed" me to next time order the drinks at the same time I order the sandwiches then they'll be ready when I pay...I probably would have done that had she offered drinks in the first place.
