I'm not one to leave poor reviews, I'm guessing it was just an off day. By the recommendation of a friend who lives local we tried this spot for some vegan Chinese. We ordered take out, 3 orders of the vegan orange chicken combo plate an order of the vegan beef and broccoli, the vegan bbq pork combo plate, one order of veggie egg rolls and an order of regular orange chicken. I ordered the vegan bbq pork, with half fried rice half chow mein. I felt it was an interesting concept, the bbq sauce was good, and the vegan pork was a softer texture. The chow mein and fried rice were pretty typical to me, but as I continued on maybe my third bite I saw something just slightly sticking out of my chow mein. I grabbed it and to my surprise it was much longer than I expected than some accidental piece to be. It was a piece of plastic, maybe to some packaging? Definitely could have posed a hazard in swallowing had I not noticed it, since it was really mixed into the noodles and not simply found on top. My friend frequents this place and said they've never had an experience like this before and even their orange chicken wasn't as good as usual. But at $16-$18 a plate, the bill added up and it's not something I'd expect from somewhere with this price point. Alas, I've survived and accidents happen. Maybe better luck next time, though I will skip this place next time I'm in town. read more

"The times they are a-changing" Love this place because of its Vegan option! Drove all the way up from Long Beach. Well worth the drive with the gf in the carpool lane. If you ever get the chance, try it. I think its the only spot in LA that has Chinese fast food with vegan options. One of the workers name May was super attentive and sweet to us. Portions where down right outstanding. We got the fried rice, noodles, vegan orange chicken and kung pao chicken. The kung pao chicken was loaded with veggies and was so flavorful. The sauce i could drizzle over my rice. The orange chicken should be eaten right away for that crunch. It was the right amount of breading and sauce. The fried rice and noodles had veggies in it too. Love this place, delicious food with impressive Vegan options. The fact that it's local to my area was a gift from God! My go to order is the orange chicken or walnut shrimp with noodles. The noodles are my absolute fave! They don't have that greasy aftertaste that other places have. They have a good freshness to them. Definitely recommend. They went through some drama online recently and somehow I got blocked, guess I must have liked a comment that I wasn't supposed to I know I didn't comment at all in that back and forth. This place is seriously the best. I've tried other vegan Chinese food and this one beats all of them. The noodles are some of the best noodles I've had. The rice isn't something I'm too crazy about. But I'm also very picky with fried rice. The Orange chicken is the best. I haven't had better Orange chicken. I've been vegetarian/vegan for 11 years now and this Orange chicken seriously taste like how I remembered. I've had the broccoli beef before and it's good but nothing compares to the Orange chicken. I've also had their mango lemonade and Thai tea with soy milk. Both are delicious and refreshing. I constantly crave the mango lemonade. It comes in such a big cup that it usually takes me two days to finish the drink. Which brings me to the amount of food they serve you. I can't ever finish my plate. I always have left overs for the next day. I highly recommend this place. The food is delicious for vegan and non Vegas as well. It's unfortunate that we don't live close enough to Pots n' Woks- but every time we come to Whittier it is a MUST. The vegan options are delicious. No matter what we get, it always hits the spot. I heard about this spot on social media and after drooling over their posts, I finally made it from Orange County and it was well worth the trip and wait. This is a small quick service restaurant in a strip mall shopping center offering both Vegan and non Vegan options. Per Covid only take out and delivery (Postmates & Uber Eats) are available and they can get very busy so ordering ahead for pick up is best but it can be hard to get through their phone line. I ordered the Vegan Orange Chicken combo with 1/2 rice, 1/2 chow mein and a Guava/Passion Fruit Lemonade Boba which was also Vegan. Everything was fresh the Vegan options are made to order), flavorful and delicious. I was very impressed with the Vegan Orange Chicken and look forward to trying more Vegan options on their menu as I definately will be back. Very nostalgic coming here for the chinese american fast food places, the deli style ready to go trays of orange chicken and fried rice. I came for the vegan selections since at these types of places I can usually only get veggies or a tofu dish if I am lucky. I got combo B to try kung pao "chicken" and broccoli "beef". Ive been vegetarian for more than half my lfie so idk how it compares to the meat version but i found the food warm and flavorfull. Meat substitutes have come a long way. I get the hype but there wasn't much flavor. Lizzo sent me and I had to try this place out because of the TikTok hype! We ordered take out on a Sunday evening and the line was nearly to the door. Thankfully there were tvs around the space to watch the football game. I wasn't wow'd by anything but the amount of food they gave you. I got the bbq pork, teriyaki chicken and just chow mein. My fiance got orange chicken, fried rice and chow mein. Nothing to me had a tremendous amount of flavor, but it didn't taste bad so everything seemed just okay. I did save most of my food and had it the next day, so that was a plus that they literally serve you enough for two WHOLE meals. Absolutely YES! This was the best vegan Chinese food that we have ever had. They had plenty of options and fast service. The plates were stuffed and we ended up making 3 meals out of each tray. The taste was delicious and we will be making road trip out here just for this place. We will probably even order for our non- traditional holiday dinners. If you're contemplating giving this place a shot, this is your sign to just go. I was vegan for about 4 years and initially started coming here because they have a plethora of vegan options. Some of my top vegan options include their orange chickn, mushroom chickn, Mongolian tofu (made to order), and the cream cheese wontons. These dishes are also Lizzo approved! Some of the items we ordered were vegan Chow Mein, white rice, com pow Chicken, fries with buffalo chicken, beef/ broccoli and orange chicken ( 100% Vegan). The food was delicious!! I recommend to call a day ahead to call in for trays as they open at 11:30 AM. Chow Mein was probably my favorite along with their buffalo chicken, it almost tasted like real chicken. Because of COVID-19, there is no dine-in option, only order and go with strict social distancing guidelines. I thought this place only offered vegan options, but I was wrong. However, their vegan selection is just as good, but costs an average of $3-5 more than non-vegan items. Their portions are very huge! I ordered their Combo C meal (3 items with fried rice/noodles) and it was so satisfying! The gentleman working there was so nice to me. He said since I was the first customer of the day, he included 2 bottles of water with my order. It did take about 10 minutes to wait for my order since I did order a their vegan orange chickn as it is made to order. By the time my name was called to pick up my order, there was already a line formed outside. Is their food worth the wait? Absolutely! I realllly wanted to love this place. I've heard so much about pots n' woks over the lasts few years but I've never had a chance to try it. Let me start of by saying that the food tastes great. I loved the taste. It's tastes just like your local takeout Chinese food. The food doesn't have a weird vegan taste either. However, a little while after having it I felt so sick. I felt super nauseous the rest of the day and my stomach kept hurting. I didn't try anything else new so I'm sure it was this. I would suggest trying a little bit and seeing how you react to it before going all out. They offer both normal and vegan chinese food so you do have options. The parking situation is okay. It's next to a super market so there's lots of room. Also, the sign outside does not say pots n' wok. read more
