Why do you have 4 sizes of espresso drinks if you put 2 shots in all of them? If I'm paying more I want more espresso - not more milk. And the person taking the orders was not enjoyable to interact with. I can't put my finger on it. Maybe she was just having a bad day but if you want to be a neighborhood coffee shop and want somebody other than the captive audience (high schoolers) then you've got to step up your friendliness factor. read more

I've been there over six times since moving to the area and I love their food and drinks but if you are trying to get a quick cuppa coffee and something to go it's not your best place. I ordered a spinach quiche and it was simply not good. It was eggs and canned spinach with no crust in a cardboard pastry dish. I really wanted to like this place. I gave it 3 opportunities but was disappointed each time. Although their coffee is wonderful and the atmosphere is charming, the customer service could use a lot of work. Online it says that there are always snacks available when a customer arrives, on my first visit I was surprised to find no snacks of my liking. Not extremely disappointing at the time because i figured I had just come after the lunch rush and they hadn't had time to restock. On my second visit I had rushed over after work and walked into a very crowded Pour Coffee House where upon entering was rudely shouted at that the establishment was closed. I hadn't even had a foot in the doorway before one of the baristas shouted from behind the counter that they were closed. I expected at least an apology but there was none, she seemed annoyed that I had dared entered even though the place had groups of customers still sitting around. At that moment I didn't want to go back, but I decided that the drink I had the first time I went was so worth it that I would have to try again! The third time I went in early so I could get food and a drink before work. I asked for my drink and what I wanted to eat, from then on the baristas gossiped with hushed tones about what was going on with their personal lives as I waited 15 minutes for the cup of tea I ordered. 15 minutes!!! I was not very happy because it wasn't a very complicated drink to make, it was tea for God sake. They weren't paying attention to the customer (one was on their phone and the other was gossiping) and they took 15 minutes to make a subpar cup of tea which Starbucks can make better and 13 times faster. I am very sorry to say that I will not be back to this establishment and it 100% has to do with their customer service. read more

I want to give this 4 stars because the coffee and food is great (but cold burritos) but the customer service is very poor. The baristas move at the speed of molasses and have zero personality. If I'm in a hurry I know not to come here. Also, if you order food, the length of time it takes them to get your food ready is excruciating. I just want to jump back there and light a fire under them. This is no joke - if you're the owner of this shop, you need to address the speed and level of customer service your staff provide. I have yet to receive a hi or thank you from the majority of this staff. They look like they'd rather be getting root canals. It just took me 9 minutes to get a latte and there was one person in front of me. Oh, and no hi and thank you from the girl taking my order. Very good coffee with fun flavors. I like the vanilla honey & lavender honey lattes. They have a snow day hot chocolate that looks really good for the kids. I really like their selection of gluten free products, especially the donuts. You have to get there early to get one, though. They carry Christopher Elbow chocolates & Nutty girl sandwiches too. I love this coffee shop. The baristas are mostly very good and able to pour all different types of espresso based drinks. They have two different coffees "on tap" for iced coffees, which I think is very innovative and helpful (no more watered down iced coffee!). It's consistently clean and orderly. They have an excellent selection of gluten free baked goods that are super tasty. I especially like their lemon bars, gluten free quiche and dark chocolate little cakes that are chocolate covered. I recently got an iced Americano there and it was way better that what I can make at home. Lattes usually have a cool design in the foam (I've yet to see that done at Starbucks)! Oh, and they have excellent loose leaf teas. It's a small selection, but all 7 are very high quality. Locally sourced coffee and bakery items. They occasionally sell flowers from another woman owned business and the arrangements are very beautiful with unique combinations of flowers. They focus on customer service. I once stopped in when they were having an employee meeting and it was great to see how the owners interacted with the staff. It's a nice relationship. Try POUR. I think you'll like it. Two gals working said "sorry we're actually closed" and walked toward us and opened the door for us to head on back out. I have been coming to Pour since they opened. They always have consistent, great coffee. There are really good burritos and the quiche is honestly some of the best I have had. Prices might seems high like some reviews mention but nothing out of line with other coffee houses I have been too. Plus I don't mind because I know it is a local shop and I think all of the baked goods and food are also sourced locally from other small business owners. I'm always looking for local coffee shops and was excited to try this one. Inside is cute, not very big so I can imagine seating could get tricky when crowded. Unfortunately the cute decor was the only good thing about this place. I ordered a fleur de sel latte which was to have caramel, dark chocolate and sea salt. It was so weak, like slightly coffee flavored water. Tasted no chocolate and definitely not a hint of sea salt. I also got a cute little coconut macaroon which was ok but $8.21 for a 12oz latte and small cookie? Before they added my cookie I saw my coffee was already at $5 so $3 for the cookie was crazy. I don't mind paying for a good coffee and pastry but good these were not. I'll stick to Third Space and Black Dog. read more

One of my favorite coffee spots in Olathe! The shop itself is super cute and laid back. The baristas are always super friendly and they have a rewards system (buy 10 drinks get the 11th free). My favorite thing about Pour is all of the unique flavors that they have, in addition to their seasonal menu. There food items are always fresh and unique with lots of gluten free options... Homemade pop tarts? Yes, please! They also have cute candles and different items you can purchase. If you stop by, I would definitely take a look at their seasonal menu or try something unique (I like the Lavender Honey Latte), because you can get a vanilla latte anywhere. I've never had a bad experience here but some visits are better than others. I don't get the pastries often, but when I do it's always very good. Now for the main event. I've only had their cold brew coffee and hot (regular) lattes here. Both have been good. Their latte is far better than starbucks, but not exceptional. (BTW, I'm not a starbucks hater like some, they serve a purpose but they are by no means quality coffee). Wait times here have been reasonable. I've never been more than fourth in line and the time to make my drink after order isn't quick, but it's not slow either. I'd recommend giving Pour a try. I'm confident that you won't regret it. read more
