Super duper cute salon right across the street from Old Poway Park and the Hamburger factory. Went for a badly needed facial with Jessica. She's also my lash lady and does waxing as well. They offer facials, lashes, waxing, cuts, color and spray tanning just to name a few. It's basically a one stop beauty spot! I Have been meaning to review this place & share my experiences with others. Leah did my hair awhile ago & the color was easy (can't mess up a semi permanent) but the cut was horrid. The layers weren't blended (what did I expect w/ a 5 minute haircut) & it wasn't cheap (I could have gotten a better cut at supercuts for 1/2 the price!) not to mention the gossip that went on in there amongst the ladies was unprofessional (made me feel uncomfortable, they were bashing the esthetician who was the ONLY reason why I was there! She's always done an amazing job but apparently doesn't work there anymore.. Dalena if you read this PLEASE message me! Horrible. I went here for my wedding and was miserable. the entire staff was in a hurry to be elsewhere. My sister, flowergirl and I all had our hair done and it was flat before we even got home. I had to take it apart and redo myself. the makeup artist didn't show up, some other girl made an attempt. I could have done much better myself, which I had to anyways. Stay away. read more

Alanna is hands down my go-to girl for a fresh color, she really listens to what u want and always exceeds expectations. Not only is the atmosphere hip and fresh, but they have a cute botique section and even offer fresh cold pressed juices. Another of their stylists, Kelly, is a medium/clairvoyant and offers readings that are insanely accurate. She is the real deal. I love this salon! I always look forward to going to get my hair cut and colored, I leave feeling good, my hair always is perfect and I have had a nice relaxing experience which is very important to me! The staff is always friendly, and I feel pampered. Nicole has been my stylist for years and I highly recommend her. The other thing I must mention is they are always on time and focused on just me. How many times have you been in a salon when your hairstylist is working on several clients at once and doesn't focus on just you? When you can't even tell your stylist what you want because they are too busy serving other customers? You will never find that at JoJo's, they give you undivided attention and listen to your needs. read more

These one star reviews are highly mistaken. How about not wearing a brand new shirt to get your hair dyed? I digress... I found out about the salon through a friend and decided to try it out. I went in December '07 and LOVED my new cut. I went again in January '08 for a cut and color and once again loved the cut, color AND the girls at the salon. My wedding was in February '08 and Megan and Nicole came out to do my hair, three bridesmaids, and a flower girl. All of our hair stayed in and great until we took it out about 12 hours later. I decided to donate my hair the day after the wedding and now have the sassiest cut I've ever dared to sport! The girls are sweet, professional, fun and I wouldn't go anywhere else! The hair stylist did an amazing job on my hair. I came in looking like crap with horrible colors in my hair and left feeling like a million bucks! The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars was because it was way more expensive that I thought it was going to be. I would recommend anyone to go in there because they can do wonders. The hair stylist was also fast and efficient....normally I would spend like 4 hours in the salon and it was only 1 hour total with a blow dry and everything! I am very happy. read more

I go to Leesa at JoJo's I followed her there from her last shop. She is AMAZING and I refer friends to her all the time. She has a true gift for color and style. When I started seeing her I had long blond hair, that I had all my life (boring) she helped me break out of my shell and now my hair is healthier, more stylish and a beautiful dark auburn, I get SO many compliments! They were very friendly, helpful, and courteous. The guy doing my hair seemed to know what he was doing and had many ideas of what would look good on me. However, the style he did on me didn't grow out as nicely as I expected. I was scared because I have never had my hair cut before, but was at east being in the salon. Michael doesn't work there anymore, but I'm sure the other stylists are just as great. She picks the color, she picks the best cut, anything. Sometimes I get my hair trimmed elsewhere cause of hte drive, but I will not get my hair colored/highlighted anywhere else...Will Not!! I had my haircut by Kelly today. This was my first time at JoJo's Hair Salon. I showed Kelly a photo of a style that I really liked and when she was through with my cut, my hair looked just like what I had asked for. JoJo's has been my hair salon for over 5 years now, and this is the best hair care I have ever had (and I'm pushing 50, girls, so that's a LOT of hair care). My hair was very short for a long time, and JoJo's kept it in great style -- periodically I had them do "Inkworks" on my almost-white hair to celebrate 4th of July, Mardi Gras, Earth Day. They are SO MUCH fun and do such a professional job. I've been growing out my hair for about a year now, and also decided to start coloring it for the first time -- I've had so many compliments from so many people about my "Bronze" hair color (w/ blondish highlights), and the expert trims have made the often-awkward grow-out quite pleasant. I've had facial waxing done here, and it was a relaxing experience. I buy my hair care and facial care products here (Murad), and have had very good experience with them, too. JoJo's makes very helpful suggestions and I've appreciated their guidance. read more

This review is for a men's haircut. After years of getting my hair cut at Supercuts I decided to try out some specialty hair salons. I had my hair cut at several salons in delmar and poway before ending up at JoJos about 3 years ago. Since then I have been getting a haircut from Megan at JoJos every month. Megan is a highly trained consumate professional and I have never been disappointed with the service at JoJos. She is well versed in latest trends and can work wonders with any type of hair. The same can be said for the other stylist Kristyn at the salon. The salon is charmingly decorated and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. My only regret is that I did not discover JoJos 10 years ago. If your hair is not becoming to you then you should be coming to JoJos! read more
