I love this place! It's fun and in a cute part of Poway. You can easily run a couple of errands on the way home! It's easy to get to and they have good hours. It's an outgoing atmosphere, without wondering if you are hip enough to be there. You'll definitely have a good laugh and you will be taken care of. I always feel at home, and comfortable here. The stylists are very experienced and friendly. It's a Paul Mitchell salon and a great place to get your products refilled. They always have just what I need and they recommended a new hair product for my boyfriend (as a gift), that works great and smells amazing! My hairstylist Leesa has been my saving grace over the last 9 years. I've had my hair professionally colored, highlighted, cut, styled, straightened, etc. There isn't anything this girl can't do! It's been a great 15 years going to JoJo's Hair salon. The team at JoJo's has catered to all my needs of hair, skin and massage. A great little salon tucked away in old poway. You feel really loved and the vibe is amazing. Employees have come and gone and some have come back to work at JoJo's again. I am really excited about Kelly coming back and doing soul healing and has really brought the girls together. With Leah leaving for her pregnancy and coming back full time I am proud of all the heart she has put into that little salon. All the girls have been working hard building an amazing family for the last 5 years. The owner really has a huge poway family and is a large part of the community. I can't wait until Kristyn comes back after she has her baby. It's like being part of a family. I have to say it is sad to see some of the girls go but as a team effort they have really have brought on new talented people. Sheena is an amazing addition. WOW! WOW! WOW! Amazing cut by owner Megan, actually the best cut that I've probably ever had! She listened to what I wanted, and then with skill and precision proceeded to give me exactly what I had pictured in my head. I have thick, coarse hair that needs to be cut by a pro- going to Fantastic Sams just wasn't doing it for me! After the cut she took the time to dry it and teach me patiently how to properly curl it- all for no additional charge. Where the heck else would you find that?! The space itself was cozy and comfortable, and the other stylists were also very friendly and accomodating without coming off as pretentious. I highly recommend Megan and this salon especially; it was a great experience while remaining very affordable. If I could give 10 stars I would. I go to JoJos for ALL my needs. Cuts, color, waxing, and massage. Megan, the owner, has been doing my hair for 6 years and she is the only person I will go to. She is so creative and listens to exactly what I want. Sheena, the esthetician, is also fantastic. She is very relaxing and made me feel comfortable. I have only gone to her for waxing, but I can only imagine what the facials are like! What I like most is how thorough she is. She took her time and did not treat my appointment like a walk-in wax chop shop like many estheticians, unfortunately, do. I am very happy with her. The girls on JoJo's team are all friendly, have an excellent working relationship, and make it a fun environment. When one girl needs a hand, another jumps in and helps out. I recently went and got a facial from Sheena and it was the most relaxing facial I have ever had. I almost fell asleep And my face just felt amazing after. Not like a facial you get where you feel like you can do it at home. I got my hair extensions done for my wedding and I felt amazing everyone loved my hair no one could tell if they were extensions. So I booked Megan and Leah for my wedding for hair and makeup. I was beyond pleased my hair style Megan did was absolutely beautiful and I didn't really know what I wanted and I tried to explain something but the end result was beautiful. It stayed all night long. Leah did my makeup and My makeup turned out amazing and I never felt More beautiful in my life. I cried and was sweating and at the end of the night my makeup still looked amazing. These ladies were so sweet professional and just made my wedding day a great experience. My first impression of this salon was surprising only because of the location. It was nice and decorated cute inside but unfortunately, that did not match the owner Megan's personality. When I walked in, the only person that greeted me was my hair stylist. Megan's booth was right next to the one I was getting my hair done at and still there was no 'hello'. Her specific comment to my stylist about me was "oh, this is the red hair girl". I was shocked! I had never been inside of a salon where the owner or even manager was so rude and unfriendly. Because I loved my hair stylist and had been going to her for years at other salons she's worked at, I went back a few more times to Jo Jo's quickly regretting it each time I was there. Great Personal Service. I recently got my hair cut here with Leah. Typically I will get me hair cut at a barber shop where it's a quick clippers cut with no personal touch. I decided to try out Jo Jo's after being referred by a friend who recently got a really nice fade from there. I was not disappointed and got quality professional service. I wasn't treated like another body in the chair. I got full service which included: scissors cut, shampoo, and a neck shave, Leah was very professional in hearing what I wanted and giving advise of what would be best for my hair. I've been going to Jojo's for at least 1.5 years now for all my haircuts, colors, and new do's. I haven't experienced any of the other services they offer like facials, nails, etc., but the service is great so I'm sure those services are equivalently great! Even from the first time I went there, I felt really welcomed and always feel great when I get out of the salon. Every time I go there it gets better and better. I went to JoJo's to get my eyebrows and upper lip threaded and I will NEVER go back again. I asked that she not make them too thin. Which she did, she also started to clip my eyebrows so I thought she was trimming the longer hairs No she cut down all the hair to about a quarter inch, I had no eyebrows left. When she started to work on my lip area, she cut me twice with the thread. The entire time she is telling me what a bad job the person who did my permanent make up did. I went to Jojo's for a while before going off to college and when I went back a few weeks ago I was amazed with all of the improvements they had made. The salon is so adorable and welcoming and everyone you meet is so friendly. It's the perfect place to go if you want to do something drastic or just get a trim. They also do a great job with formal hairstyles. You feel comfortable in the salon and you can be condfident that you'll walk out with the perfect haircut! I would reccomend this place to anyone! Sadly I was very dissapointed with the way I was treated here....Megan may be experienced but she doesn't know how to treat others with respect. Not only is the energy negative but all the shit talking about each other and about clients as soon as they walk out the door or sometimes right in front of them was overwhelming. LOVE Kelly at JoJos. I went to her the first time last December and she gave me a cut. She had to clean up quite a bit from my last stylist. The cut came out beautiful. BUT this last week, Kelly did my color as well as a cut and I LOVE IT!!! I have the haircut I wanted. I was recently in here to get my hair done everything was going ok until one of the staff members named Meghan began to be really rude/mean to her staff and myself . She was very unprofessional and I do not think anyone should treat their staff in that manner or a client .
