I used them for the first time. Service tech was very nice and fixed problem within 10 min. Showed me the faulty part and said it would cost 300+ dollars to fix. I gave them a three because after i found out what the problem was i found i could buy that part online for on approximately 20 dollars so basically paid 250 dollars for labor which i probably could have done on my own. On 3/11, we came home to find our water heater had stopped working. In a panic, I called Power Pro, and they could not have been more helpful. Their technician, Jason, was here within an hour of my call. He was friendly, knowledgeable and HONEST. He had the water heater repaired as quickly as possible, and provided OUTSTANDING service. I will make this company my permanent "go to" call whenever I have any issues with plumbing at our home. I could not be happier with the service I received. They offer free estimates, which is difficult to find anywhere. The most important thing I found was their HONESTY. I had called another company first (randomly) and was quoted a price to fix the water heater, before anyone had even come out to look at it. They came out for hot water heater, gave us an est of 1800.- we ended up with a company that charged 1200.- Air conditioner broke during extreme heat spell, scheduled power pro to come out on a sat, changed my schedule and waited for them, only went with them because they were coming out quickly and we needed the service, definitely not because of our last experience. I called and confirmed it with Aimee. Less then 2 hours before they were supposed to be here a frances called and said she was cancelling our appt, they couldn't make it. We said we put our day around this. Well Frances obviously doesn't have any customer service exp, she was so rude. Her attitude was terrible, she just wanted to get off the phone. This company will schedule you quickly, but don't expect that means anything, they think nothing of cancelling. I used this company in March and was satisfied with fair pricing and service. Today I attempted to use them again and was thoroughly disappointed. I felt as though tech was attempting to overcharge me as much as possible as he did not seem to care about repeat business. He quoted me a price that was higher than the price I got for MORE service in March and then began negotiating. He even said he could not be responsible for leaks after he put pipes back together. He had not taken a close look at the simple snake job, just took a picture and looked at everything from doorway. I told him this was unacceptable and I would get someone else. Our washer bib was broken when the previous owner moved out and we called Power Pro Plumbing to come fix it. It turned out to be a bigger job since our condo had no local shut-off and thus the heat pump and water for the entire complex had to be drained and shut off for the job. LEAK DETECTION & REPAIR: I called this company to have a leak detected in my sprinkler system. Keith came out and found it and repaired it. Our water heater stopped heating Saturday. After attempting to relight it ourselves and trouble shoot a bit we finally decided on Sunday to give someone a call. I was shocked we were serviced about 2 hours from the time of the call. We had David work on our water heater. He made quick work of it. We were terrified we would have to replace the water heater but he was able to get it fired up! My dad used Power Pro Plumbing for a small job before and it was done satisfactorily. Then Nate the salesman came out the other day convinced my dad that is a senior citizen. That with our very old house that we needed to have our pipes scoped and then to have the house hydro jet. My dad had this done, at a cost that we now know was higher than a lot of other plumbers, and then they did some pipe replacement under the house that the salesman convinced my elderly father that it needed to be done. When the work was finished my dad was stuck with a astronomical bill. This company preys on senior citizens my dad was charged for a job that was not finished. When I crawled under the house, it became apparent to me that we were over-charged in both the length and the diameter of the pipe. They did not replace all of the cast iron only up to a certain point then stopped. I know how much time the technician spent on replacing this (not many hours). We confronted the manager about this, and told him that this was very bad business. They reduced our bill by half. But had I not crawled in the dirt in the space below my dads house, I would not have known this. I will never do business again with a company that over-charges a senior customer and bills for work not finished. Highly recommend that you use another company read more

I wrote a positive review of these folks when I had my sewer line replaced. My second experience was today and it was awful. My tankless water heater was not working. When the plumber arrived I told him I believed that the problem was that the earthquake valve needed to be reset. He ignored me and even though I could show him that my stove was getting no gas either and he proceeded to take apart my water heater. AFTER he did that, he checked the earthquake valve and restored the gas. Then he proceeded to tell me that he was charging me $150 for the call. The hole thing could have been over in 5 minutes, He made it last 30 minutes. I had to speak to his supervisor to get the charge down to $80, which was reasonable for what really needed to be done. Be careful with these folks. Depending on who you get, you may experience a wolf in sheep's clothing. read more

This was a lucky find for us, as we were really I need for reliable function from our relatively new Rheem hot water heater. We called for service and promptly received a response. We were offered an appointment to which we agreed. Prior to our appointment, we received several confirmation texts. On the day of the visit, we were sent an image of the technician, and given an update regarding his arrival time. As texted, our technician, SANTIAGO LLAMAS, texted from our driveway, letting us know that he was outside. We opened the garage to allow access to the heater. Santiago,with a friendly approach, and broad smile, went right to work, using experience and reason to approach the issue. He explained his thinking and offered a solution. We would solve it in the most cost-effective way. Santiago was honest and made it clear that we would solve it at no extraordinary expense. If installation was necessary, he would be the one, if we wanted, to complete it. In short, Santiago was pleasant, courteous, kind and efficient. Above and beyond professional. Someone called back to tell me the technician would be there within half-an-hour and told me the technician would be Francisco. Francisco showed up almost exactly half-an-hour later. He found address easily and got right to work. He gave an estimate and asked if we wanted the work done. We agreed and he worked cleanly, professionally, and was very friendly and helpful in advising us about further options, if we were interested. He also answered other questions we had. The technician M. Manikas was OUTSTANDING !!!!! He explained everything he was doing . Very professional courteous and efficient. I needed a CD copy of my sewer inspection and I expected it in the mail in a couple of days. The office people tried blaming it on the technician as to why I had not received it. I asked them to check the file as they told me "it's more than likely been sent out". They kept insisting to email it to me. When they finally checked the file it had not even been put on CD let alone mailed. The technician had turned it in to the office the same day he did the service. Now more than a week later I'm still waiting. Shame on the office staff to try and pass the buck. I have now missed my deadline to submit the sewer inspection to the city because of the holidays... they offered a coupon for future services but...not sure that's gonna happen ! read more

I called Power Pro for help with a Rheem water heater which would not light, and the pilot would not stay lit. The service engineer, Eddie, came quite quickly and immediately told me that he did not have the necessary part. He proceeded to try to sell me first on a new tankless system, then on a replacement water heater for $1,395 installed. He gave me a quote of $350 to install the replacement part, which I would request from Rheem under its 6-year parts warranty. I subsequently was able to find another vendor which had the part in its vans and which quickly and efficiently provided the necessary repair for $98. Buyer beware. read more

When Power Pro did my first two jobs, everything was great. Great technicians and great service. The third time I hired Power Pro, I had an initial visit, but the technician said it was too late to start the job, so we rescheduled for the next day. Then I received a call that the technician was stuck at another job and wouldn't be able to make it, so we rescheduled again. On the third scheduled date, I received a call and was told that the technician was badly sunburned and couldn't make it, so we rescheduled a fourth visit for one week later, which required me to postpone my vacation to accommodate the change. To my utter disappointment, on the fourth scheduled appointment date, I received a call an hour after the technician was supposed to arrive and was told that the technician had an earache and they would have to reschedule again. I have not doubt that the technician was ill, but being that it was a fourth re-scheduled visit, Power Pro should have offered to send another technician out in good faith. I suggest that they hire more technicians! I am forced to hire a more reliable company. Sorry Power Pro Plumbing I feel that I gave you a lot of chances and was patient and kind about it. read more

Called in the morning and they were able to come out the same day to fix a back up in the main line which required cutting into the concrete to clear roots growing through the pipe and they replaced that part of the piping. Another company quoted a two to three day job but Frederico and his crew were able to complete the job by the end of the day. Pricing was reasonable as they matched another quote I had but they did a great job without making a mess and cleaned up nicely afterwards. I work for a property management company in Long Beach and for the last 9 years I was a loyal customer to a specific hydro jetting company-that I recently had to part ways for a multitude of reasons. I met Power Pro at a local apartment association get to gether a while back and have used them since at all my properties for drain stoppages. They are fast, efficient, they communicate well with my tenants in making appointments and following up (which is a huge headache for me to monitor-usually-but not with them). They've seriously raised the bar, used them last night in fact at a property I also live at...they were there well into the evening dealing with quite an emergency, and Scott was great-he communicated well with me and my tenants. My tenants are also thrilled I have switched companies,lol. Its a switch that was needed a long time ago. I have not had a chance to use their other services, but I can tell you that their drain clearing, scoping and hydro jetting services are great, and have made my job a whole lot easier. read more

First I went to the home center. Long story short, all we got was an attempted up sell. I sent them packing. Then I went to Home Advisor. They connected me up with Power Pro Plumbing. The initial contact after 5PM with PPP said that Jason would be at my home in 90 minutes for a FREE estimate. They were wrong and Jason was her in 75 minutes. Jason spent about 30 minutes trying to get the old water heater working but failed. There was water in the existing drip pan so I decided to go ahead and have the water heater replaced. (This was my foregone conclusion that a replacement was necessary.) I told Jason that there was no reason to do the work that evening and we scheduled the work for the next morning, late. Jason arrived the next morning at the scheduled time with all the necessary parts. Contrary to what other Jewelry named plumbers would have you believe Jason doesn't smell at all. :) Just watching Jason work it is obvious that he is competent and very skilled. When Jason was finished the house was CLEAN. Nothing left behind and the old water heater left with him. We've been in this house about 40 years. We've had a few 'plumbers' doing work on various things. PPP is the only one I would recommend to others. What else can I say? Great office staff, great customer service, great trades people. Oh, the price. Oh my goodness, the price! The PPP price was all of sixty cents higher than the home center. read more

Our kitchen sinks and toilet were backed up. Power Pro Plumbing came out and charged us $194 to snake the pipes. Everything was fine for four days. Then the kitchen sinks backed up again. Power Pro Plumbing came out again. They said they snaked again but that the pipes were too far gone and needed to be replaced. The guy quoted a price of $1800 to replace one section of pipe or $3600 to replace all of it. I called the property manager the following day to report what I had been told. They sent out their guy who poured drain cleaner into both sinks and snaked them the following day. They have been fine since then. That's all they needed. I don't believe the guys from Power Pro Plumbing didn't know that. I think they tried to rip us off. I have called them twice to give them the opportunity to refund part of the money they charged us and they have ignored me. I strongly advise anyone considering hiring them not to do so. UPDATE : I just spoke with a representative from PPP. They have agreed to a partial refund. All it took was a bad review. :-) I still don't recommend them. read more

I always call power pro Plumbing every visit I received better and better service but yesterday I met Bobby he's so professional, hardworking, and very honest with his job. He recommended that I should get hydro jetter this is not the first time they recommend this to me but the way Bobby explained it to me, I was convinced I ask him to come back. They called me two three times to confirm the appointment, they even offered to come early. Then Bobby came he started his job and they mentioned to me over the phone that it's about 1 hour Job but Bobby almost spent 2 hours after he finished his job. We have used Power Pro Plumbing before when they removed a water heater, which as it turned out, had nothing wrong with it, and installed a new one. We had thought a leak under the house was caused by the water heater leaking - it turned out it was our irrigation system. Looking back, I think a reputable plumber would have immediately known the heater was not the culprit, as there was no evidence of water underneath it, or of corrosion to the heater. We ended up $1,850 poorer and still had not solved the problem. We were stupid enough to call them again when a new shower head needed to be installed. The old one had snapped off at the wall and it needed a special tool to remove the old piece of pipe so that the new head could be installed - a two-minute job. The appointment was scheduled between 10.00 am and 12.00 noon. The service guy turned up at 2.05 pm. When he saw what was required he said he'd have to call his supervisor and came back with a quote for $550!!! I said that was ridiculous, sent him away and told him I would never call them again. My husband bought the necessary tool for removing the broken piece of piping at Home Depot for $10 and fitted the shower head himself in 5 minutes. Be warned! read more
